They downvote the video not because they do not like what happens, but because of false advertising. It was implied that you see how the cub was taken and an altercation with the crocodile, who did it. Neither was shown in the video. It just showed a lioness swimming and occasionally growling. The reason could be anything, so the viewer got ripped off- what happens again and again on youtube sadly without consequences for the false advertiser!
I down vote because the vid is not actually showing what the title says. we don't see a cub being taken. it s just a lion looking for something.... why would I like if the title is misleading??????? DISLIKE!!!!!

@@T1Oracle not rlly, a lion will occasionally hunt prey that a cheetah might hunt like impala, especially when female lions r away from the pride w newborn cubs, she can't hunt big buffalo, so they would go for smaller prey like impala. And they also kill cheetahs becuz if given the chance, a cheetah would kill a lion cub, so they r eliminating any potential threat to their cubs.
@Death Zone I mean every predator would go for the youngest and weakest. Its easier to hunt, and takes less energy, so ofc any predator would take that over a healthy adult. Predators always look to hunt the weak, sick or old.

not always true...it depends on the environment the said lions live in...if its territory is predominantly land then yeah...but if large bodies of water exist, then maybe not... in this case, you cant really say that the lioness would not be in the water if not for "love" because as we saw in the pictures, the cub pair was in the water before the attack...The cubs would be following the mother, which means the mother was probably in the water as well before the attack...Yeah you can say, she was looking for food... But the more obvious answer is she was looking for her pride... and being that she has new fairly young cubs, it could be that she left the pride to give birth, and is returning now... which means she had to cross the river before to give birth as well...
so just maybe the lions here aren't too afraid or hate of the water... maybe...

It might have been her first cub. A first time mother of any species that nurtures their young into adulthood would be absolutely desperate to get their baby back.
She is upset her cub was eaten.. Croc had to eat to survive. Mama zebra and mama giraffe sad her young got eaten by lion pride... Lion pride had to eat to survive. It's one big circle of one predator eating another predator or their young. This video doesn't explain that lion prides eat other animals young as well. So don't hate the croc or feel sorry for the lioness ...just as guilty ...on a different day

I think it is okay to feel sorry for any mother who loses their young regardless of the predator vs prey scenario. We accept animals kill each other for food. It doesn't mean we have to feel good or indifferent about it.

Matt Houson actually there are a lot of studies that suggest that animals do have emotions. and the possibility that she was thinking about her cubs is a very real one. considering this animal is indeed a thinker and takes her time hunting and stalking her pray instead of just running at it and hoping for the best. I'm not sure how you cant see that this animal doesn't have emotion because if not what was pushing her to go searching for her cubs in the water, fish isn't part of this animals main diet so she wasn't looking for lunch, she was looking for her cubs, it could be because she feels she the need to protect them and I don't know about you but I only protect people/things I care about and caring is an emotion. also *our special creation, what do you mean, we have evolved from millions of years of basically luck and a diet change, its not like we were just created in a matter of days, we're not that special at all considering there is an animal that shares 99% of the same DNA that's in you and me at this very moment, we may believe we are the smartest species on earth and we probably are, but its known know that dolphins communicate with each other and are considered the smartest thing of earth second to humans and I'm sure something that smart can show emotion, as creatures considered dumb can show emotion aswell. animals have emotions just Google it and research, have you ever had a pet? my dog whimpers at my dad everyday when he gets home from work, why? im saying that people are so quick to put human emotions into animals. they want nature to be so perfect and think that animals are just like us but they are not. yes im sure the lioness was recognizing her cubs needed her protection but they do not dwell on the loss of their offspring like we do. they go on bout their daily lives probaobly within a couple days after losing their cubs. yes at the moment,instinct was driving her to protect and search for her cubs.but it is not out of shear love for her babies. lions lose most of their cubs during their lifetime. they have to get over it quickly there is no time for mourning in the animal kingdom,therefor having a tremendous"love"for their offspring is not a valid explanation.
I wasn't saying that she would be morning for her loss for weeks though, I agree with you for a lot of what your saying. I was just saying how its sad that at the moment in this video that she realizes her cubs are gone and looks for them as if she's panicking, as I think it was stated in the video she isn't acting like a normal lioness, she's acting like she lost something she cared about. just because humans have emotions and feelings doesn't mean that when we see that in animals we're comparing them to us, we might see good in animals when its not there because we portray our emotions on to them as if they were a mirror into our emotions, we also do that with people, but that isn't always the case. I was watching an interesting video were a female mountain lion attached a female chimp and killed it. after killing the chimp the lion found its baby hiding in the chimps arms. now instead of killing the baby chimp for dinner she picked it up walked away and took care of it for a night as if she was the mother of this chimp, the next day a group of chimps came and she left it for them and ended up not taking the chimp that she killed. weather animals have a conscience and emotions or its all instinct some animals aren't cold hearted killers. some would say in this case she didn't kill the chimp because its her motherly instinct, others would say because she felt bad for taking the chimps mother and leaving it to die, but what im saying is it to much to ask for both? maybe the mother in this video felt it was her job to look after her cubs and didn't want to fail it, maybe she made a bond or connection when her cubs would play with her and when she was taking care of them and she felt sad when they were killed and taken. your not wrong but id say its both. animals have emotions, they may not be as potent as ours and they may not feels as much as we do. but they do feel.

To everyone who is questioning why the lioness had a collar on, it serves as a tracking device so researchers/park rangers can keep track of the animals in the reserve and gather information. And also, I'd like to clarify that Kruger is not a zoo, it is a wildlife reserve-land set aside to allow wild animals to remain wild with the protection of rangers to try to prevent poaching. All the animals in the park are still 100% wild and it is not a zoo with enclosures. The animals are free to roam wherever they please

The lioness curles her mouth like this because she is smelling for her cub. The roof of a lions mouth has sensory organs in it similar to smell but very accute. Horses have it as well. Humans do too but it no longer works.

This lioness is not only a good mum but shes a brave mum, putting her life at risk to try find her cub, I have seen a crocoadile attack a lioness bit her on the side, but the lioness had a good bite grip on the crocodiles head, she bit down hard on the crocs head, the croc let go there was a splash and she made it to shore with barely a scatch, the crocodile had blood on its head, which just proves how powerful lionesses are, a lioness has a powerful bite and the crocodiles know it, its why crocs usually attack other predators from the side or behind

The fact that there is order in the universe, a universal moral center in people, the fact we mimic our own creator by trying to create things ourselves, the fact that every ancient culture shares a common memory in their themes for the origin of life, the flood, etc., the fact that every spade turns over dirt which further validates the people, places, and events of scripture... those are observable things.
A giant nothing accidentally burping the universe into existence isn't logical, tangible, or observable. It's also mathematically the least likely event to have ever occurred, whereas it makes sense to take one look at order and accept the reality that it was put into place on purpose.
Even when we use phrases like "evolve" to describe technology it's misplaced. You can't sit a calculator in a room, walk away for a million years, and have it turn into an iPad. People, with intelligent minds, analyze, plan, and then build new equipment based on the information and knowledge they have. It is designed intelligently and purposefully. Sports don't evolve, as athletes, trainers, and coaches watch film, work out in the gym, and adapt to what's happening to try and gain an edge. Business doesn't evolve, politics don't evolve, military doesn't evolve. It all exists by design, and changes by design.

The arguments presented are, in fact, very reasonable. The point being made is one that pretty much any scientist and rational thinking person will reiterate; the notion of a creator(s) is entirely possible but as yet mankind has not been able to prove the possible existence of a creator(s), thus, until substantial and irrefutable evidence proves the existence of a God of sorts we can only say that one does not exist.
Imagine, if you will, that you were alive around 1850, the concept of humans actually being able to fly in man-made craft would have seemed tantamount to impossible, extend this notion even further and imagine the concept of sending humans to space and having them walk on the moon. It's a concept that would seem impossible and ridiculous because man had been lumbering around dry land on two feet only ever dreaming of flying among the birds and the stars. It wasn't until someone actually proved that these things were possible that we actually accepted them as possibilities and realities.
Only when watertight proof/evidence for the existence of a divine creator(s) is presented can we say that one definitely exists. This is why the evolutionary argument for the state of the flora and fauna on our planet carries so much weight. It does not jump to conclusions, it operates within the evidence it has to hand, and gives rational argument to as to how things came to be. Every day steps are made that further strengthens the case for evolution. Even the link between that had previously been missing between humans and apes has now been found.
On a slightly different note, Faith/Hope/Religion are completely different things to the notion of a creator(s). They serve those that need it in order to justify their position in the universe and often act as a formalised panic about death which in most cases also acts as a political system rather than a spiritual one (this is just my opinion, however). In spite of this, Faith/Hope/Religion has many merits that must be applauded but it must always be prepared to retract its beliefs if science and rational thought provides substantial enough evidence or proof that those beliefs are untruths.

Please don't watch this poor sorry excuse of a video. You'll end up being sorry for wasting your time. A video where they don't have a video clip to show and instead use pictures to enact what we're supposed to believe happens. Why use real pictures at all when a cartoon drawing portrays the same concept. Some deluded people believe that as long as it's on their video cameras hard drive it automatically deserves TH-cam post status.
In all true, genuine sentiments, the point of posting stuff on TH-cam is for the purpose of the entertaining and enthrallment of the viewer. He posts a video that in no way demonstrates what he says is true. He did not capture anything rare. Okay, maybe he did, but it is not anything that can be seen.
I saw a lion pursue something, a big splash and nothing else. No animals taking babies. What you are watching is stuff your brain fills for you. Nothing he says appears on the video. There's a saying, nothing is problem until we see the pictures. I see no visual evidence that the video bolsters the poster's claim. If you have anything to prove otherwise I would be happy to examine it, and even retract my posts.

It's sad what happened to that little cub, but it happens in every known species (unfortunately.) Not all children/offspring are going to survive. It's just nature... Whatever happens, happens.
