- Hiked in to the Arthurs Pass National Park on my own for an overnight camp alongside a river. Lots of river crossings, a warming fire, and a stunning breakfast view.

I am from the US and was wondering about fish in the stream have you ever thought about trying your hand at it? We have great trout in our streams here. Beautiful little valley thanks for sharing.
Hi. You know, I have not thought about getting a fishing license, but it would be fun to have a go. I used to love fishing for trout with my dad when I was young. Some of our rivers have trout and salmon in them but I think you have to know where to go for good fishing (isn't that always the case!). I haven't spotted any fish on the trips that I have been on so far.
Arthur's Pass is such a wonderful place.

Absolutely fantastic to find a female Kiwi channel that explores our beautiful outdoors and has a dog too. Along with family camps I go on solo tent camps with my ute and Choc Lab but limited to cell coverage areas 🐾🏕

Have watched your recent videos and I see you changed some equipment from the first video you made. I see no tarp in this one. Must feel good to have the traps now. I loving seeing the views and the water in that river is so clear. I also watch AB Camping. Great your sharing with all of us.
Hi Caroloum, yes I have added a few things since this camp. This one was an impromptu film using just my iPhone. At the time I wasn’t even sure I would edit or upload it, I did, and here I am now 😁

What camera are you using?
In this video, my first, it was just me and my trusty iphone. I think it was an iphone 10 from memory. No tripod or mics or anything else. Strategically placed rocks and tree stumps were all I had to place it on. I was pleasantly surprised how it turned out.
