Those are all pretty, Kate! Looking forward to seeing the ones you tumble!
Working on it! :)
Kate, what a fun video! You never know on some what is hidden, and others that look like gems turn out to be duds,
I am learning to appreciate them!
Seems like good thing come in small sizes. Some of these are gorgeous.
I had so much fun looking at them!
Love your curiosity! It was a lot of fun learning along with you. LSAs really have an incredible amount of variation.
Glad you enjoyed it! I really enjoyed cutting all those rocks.
Thanks for Sharing . Lovely way to take a break. Could be some earrings in the little ones.
I agree - or maybe ring stones!
Those were really nice! For a bulk buy, you got some really nice ones! Thanks for sharing Kate! ❤
Thanks so much! 😊 I actually only went through about half of them.
@@KatyDidRocks Wow! That's fantastic!
As a rockhound I’m sure appreciating what your showing ? Just awesome thank you and your family for sharing ! I have missed seeing y’all for long time
Hi, George! I release a video every Sunday at 5, so my guess is that the algorithm decided not to show you my vids for a while. If you ring the notification bell under the video, you SHOULD get a notification when another one comes out. Glad you enjoyed it!
I really liked the one at 14:33!
That's a good one!
That was really nice. The little ones hold lots of surprises. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it. I was delighted to get my hands on some!
A bucket of suprises. Thanks for sharing ❤😊❤
I really enjoyed it. :)
Having lived in Minnesota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan i have had the pleasure of picking agates right from the shore of Lake Superior... Pebble size up to fist size.
They are so fun!
Can't wait for my next lake superior hunt! 😊
Me too!
Some have amethyst on the inside. The yellow/orange on the outside is limonite but is usually on the surface.
Cool - thanks!
My favorite to find up here are Limonites. Banded iron Jasper is also beautiful after a polish. We do have some pretty rocks here in MN, don't we? Great video, Kate.
You DO have some pretty rocks! :)
I live in MI and frequently go up north and go Agate hunting, I’ve learned that the vast majority are best left uncut and untumbled. They are often more beautiful buy just dipping them in mineral oil then displaying them as found. Great video.
Good tip! Glad you anjoyed it.
Very nice katy!!!!
Thank you!! 😊
That was enjoyable and relaxing 😊
Thank you! 😊
Waw i love dis ro hahaha
That was an interesting & enjoyable experience. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Love LSAs. My first was given to me by a coworker and that kickstarted my love of agates from all over the world! Was happy to see you visited the Twin Cities and scored that barrel of beauties. Next time you’re in town, be sure to check out ZRS Fossils. It will leave you in awe.❤
Hi, Soul! I definitely will.
You should watch Agate Dad if you want to learn about LSAs. I know you know Michigan Rocks. The yellow coating you are seeing on the outside is called Limonite staining.
:) I've watched Taylor's channel a lot - but there really isn't anything like putting your hand on them.
The one at 22:13 is my favorite!
I love them all. :)
Katy, you said that you purchased the Lake Superior agates. Would you share where you purchased them from? Being 81, I can't do my own hunting anymore, but I still love to tumble any and all the agates I can buy! Thank you so much for sharing your great buys!
Hey there! I bought the bucket from the Enchanted Rock Garden in Minneapolis - I was lucky enough to go there.
I think Agate Dad calls the yellow staining laminite staining or something like that and he often hunts those types of agate 😊
Yep, limonite! I definitely should have re-watched some of his videos before this trip. :)
Please show us the ones you are tumbling when they are finished ❤❤❤❤
I definitely will!
Beatyfuli love ygel to carnilium❤
thanks?!
The one at 5:22 was interesting.
:)
I love how you give us the time to get a good look at each one. This time it seems for most, the uglier they are on the outside, the prettier they are on the inside.
lol, this is so true!
Did you find them in Minneapolis or buy them. I always make my husband stop a few times when we travel through MN to visit family and I find agates.
I bought them at The Enchanted Rock Garden, a rock shop in Minneapolis.
@@KatyDidRocks I probably missed that in the video. I will have to visit next time through the cities! Thanks.
Tube agate with limonite staining.
Sweet! I'm going to try polishing the exterior.
Note: I wasn't subscribed again... And the "like👍" are being taken away.
We rewatch your videos often and the video will show red that I've seen it, but the thumbs up is gone. Of course I'm looking and checking all the important stuff.
I believe TH-cam is unsubscribing and taking the likes off for their spreadsheet numbers. Most of my subscribed channels have been doing the same thing. They're manipulating their numbers to report higher activity, I guess 😮
I'm sorry to hear that. I have had a number of people say that they were happy to see that I put out another video, as they hadn't seen me in a while - and I put one out every week! Frustrating. Thanks for letting me know!
