Oh a quick note! For the squaring numbers ending in ‘5’, I say we do n(n+1) for the first ‘digit’, but more specifically it’s for the NUMBER that precedes the 5 so that’s why in the example of 105 I did 10(10+1).
Hi Sharan, I just found your channel and I love how you explain things but mostly the positive energy you convey, like just by talking you make me smile :))
Adam Shooshtarian Well done! That’s a strong score!! I’d suggest having a look at the Medic Portal’s advice on Where to Apply One thing I remember about King’s is that their average UCAT accepted has been known to enter the low-mid 700s, so just be careful that you don’t over-stretch your score:) - just from what I remember though! I’d suggest doing a LOT of research before making decisions! Because your score gives you many options so be sure to apply smartly :))
Oo that tip to help with multiples of 5 reminded me, I’d recommend tecmath on TH-cam for snazzy mental math tricks for the ucat (not a #spon - I wish :p)
Hi, could you do an AR video please. I find your videos really helpful but AR is the only section that just brings my overall score down so much I would love some tips on it. Thanks
Hi sharan just wondering how the multiplication shortchts are faster than calculator, i did a QR mini mock on medify yesterday and got 750 but i tried this technique i got 710 but ran out of time😐 should i just stick to using the calculator
Hi Saif! First of all, good job on those scores! The tricks here are meant to be used sparingly, for only a couple of questions, so you can pick up one or two extra marks - if it feels like you're forcing it, use the calculator instead :) Always remember though, if you did a different test, the score difference may be due to other factors! Generally speaking, their benefits become apparent the more you practise with them - so perhaps they'll come in handy for your BMAT!
