I only read in bed at night. Through the day I can never concentrate on a book. I'll occasionally read in the garden in the Summer but otherwise I just read in bed at night, with all my fairy lights on (I have a lot of fairy lights. Some are heart shaped, some are flower shaped and I have some penguin shaped ones too. They're cute. and I also have just normal string lights) with some food. And it makes me nice and cosy. I loveeee it
Yesss reading on the beach is THE BEST! Every time I see a video of a B&N anywhere on booktube I'm just so bloody amazed. They are so massive. Like... they are twice the size of a normal supermarket here in The Netherlands, and they're just books! Amazing. I'm going to the USA in 2 weeks so I'm most definitely going to a B&N there!
Not to be a downer, but most Barnes & Nobles aren’t the two story heavens you see on booktube. I have twi Barnes & Nobles near me and they’re not only half the size of the one in this video, but the ya section is microscopic.

Some of my favorite places to read are my bed, coffee shops, and the beach. I wish I lived closer to a beach because I'd be out there all the time reading. And I definitely miss barnes & noble, Germany doesn't have a lot of english book stores.
My normal places for reading are on my bed and in the car (because I’m that one weird person who doesn’t get car sick)😂 I really want to try to go to coffee shops, etc like you do!

These were my past favorite places to read, I have since moved and I miss them. 1. The laundry mat ( ok, do not miss having to wash clothes there, but nice place to read while trapped. 2. The BART train for Bay Area transit riders aka the train. 3. The study/ college break rooms next to the vending machine 4. Outdoor benches on a college campus 5. The waiting room at the doctors office ( may as well read while you wait) 6. An empty church pew. 7. The airport, but not the airplane. I have too much anxiety to read while flying, but am fine to read waiting for the next plane. Audio books while flying is Okay, just can't look at pages, maybe if I tried children's books or comic books?
Witch's Brew looks like a FANTASTIC place to read! I miss reading at the beach. :( Moved away from the beach almost 7 years ago and while Chicago has some grrrreat places to read and a lake "beach", there's nothing like that beach wave ambiance.
My boyfriend has a bed swing on his back porch and it’s so nice to sit outside on a warm sunny day and look out at the huge field behind his house (where you can also see the sunset if you’re out there late enough). It’s so relaxing :)
Hi Emma. Great video. For me its either my room, a couch at my school from 12:30 - 13:00 (when the younger kids come out) and on my walk to school I sometimes listen to my audiobook. I will also just read whenever I have a couple minutes to spare.
You are very inspiring in so many ways! I love to read in bed or curled up in my recliner. I can’t go a single day without reading. I haven’t really ventured out to find interesting places to read as you have. I may try it after seeing how inviting you have made the idea. The Witch’s Brew coffee house looked so amazing, fun, cozy, and a great place to sip coffee or tea while reading, if it is a quiet time of day 😊
I actually always get a lot of reading done on cruise ships - I love sitting in the sun and reading or reading in the spa which is SO relaxing. And especially if I have a private balcony outside my room, I'll just take my book out there and read, or read in my room if I want to escape the sun for a while. It just always works out on cruise ships haha. Also, the gentle rocking of the ship is so soothing and I love being surrounded by water. Love your videos Emma!

I love reading on the beach. especially when I go on holiday and I get to spend the whole day there. As you mentioned, you get to get a tan and read a book so it's pure heaven for me. I think my favourite reading place is my bed as no one disturbs me there when it is late at night and I just have to finish reading the book. Your reading nook is simple ideal! And one thing I miss most about living so far inland now, is that I loved to read at the beach when lived in Southern California. Witches Brew sounds delightful, and now I want to go out and find an indie coffee shop in my city where I can read.
As a kid, I loved reading outside under a tree. Now that I’m older, I still love reading outside but now I read outside via audiobooks to and from the bus stop. I totally understand your feelings about Dunkin. I have similar feelings toward the grocery store near my home. I spent the first year of college going there early in the morning to catch the bus for school. Of course i love my library and am there often in spring/summer. Barnes and Noble is my current favorite place though. It’s so cozy.

Nowhere is a weird place to read if its cozy to you. I love sitting outside to read. You are lucky. The closest bookstore to me is 30 miles away...the witches brew sounds awesome
The witches brew sounds awesome. My fav place to read: my literal harry potter closet under the stairs that my husband created and decorated for me for Christmas . its decorated with brick like walls fake stained glass lights, "floating candles" and bookshelves made of trunks .
Usually, I read whenever I can. So if I don't have any work in school (or I'm procrastinating) I just pull out my book wherever I am and just start reading. My favorite place to read is on my bed with all my candles and books next to me in the order of when I'm going to read them. My dog always comes up to cuddle with me while I read so she's my blanket!
Oooo reading on the beach sounds lovely! Unfortunately that's going to be a major trek for me. I live way too far from the beach! 🤣 I guess I'll just stick to my cozy bed. (Shhhh don't let it know I was planning to go somewhere else 🤐)

I have this chair in my living room that I love reading at. I get so focused sitri f there and can easily knock out ten chapters in a day reading there. Also, your hair in this video looked so good!!!

My favorite places is the beach right down the road from my house on the LI Sound. At work while on break super comfortable couches in the break room. My room on my bed or in my reading nook. I also listen to audiobooks while taking a bath, I haven’t perfected the reading in bath with a book.🤷♀️🤷♀️ I also sometimes drive down to the riverfront in town that has benches and I will read there.

I struggle to go to dinner alone so I understand being in a busy coffee shop alone. I will say this though, I am envious of people who are comfortable going to places to read alone. It is liberating when you do go out to a public place and read alone. I go to chilis at like 8pm with headphones and a book. I get dinner and read.
I read on the campsite of a fantasy festival this weekend, wit gorgeous weather and a book so atmospheric it totally fit in there as well. I'd recommend this, it's super relaxing. A shame I have to travel so long to get to such a festival again.
I love to read at home, but one place I really love to read is my student run coffee shop on my campus. It has lots of old furniture, comfy chairs, delicious teas, ice cream, and it's always populated by the same people so it feels like home. Grounds for Change has this definite vibe that just makes me feel so at peace and happy, and it's one of my favorite places to read.
I mostly read whenever I can at school, and on the weekends I usually don’t go anywhere so I mostly read in my bed because it’s the quietest place and I get the least distracted there. When the weather’s nice though, I like to read in my backyard because it’s really peaceful and we can some comfy hammock-swing things that are perfect for reading! I also take my books a lot of places because I like to read in the car, but I don’t necessarily read them other places, just while I’m traveling from place to place, if that makes sense.
Great video Emma 🖤 My favourite place to read is my own room. I have a forest photo wallpaper and it feels like reading in an enchanted forest! 🌳 Also I love reading in my grandparents’ garden. It’s so beautiful there 🌹🌻🌷
a really random place I love to read at when i'm the city is the whole foods in union square- on the upper level I sit at the end of one of the long communal tables right next to the huge windows and there's a really great view of union square and traffic and the empire state building!
Honestly, the only place where I get a lot of reading done is on my bed. Because firstly, it's surrounded by my bookshelves and secondly, I can read for hours on end without being disturbed or without there being a lot of noise... Great video, Emma! Loved it! :)
I always read in the bath, but you make it look way more relaxing than I do. I literally just get in and grab a book; no prep 😂 Also those curls Emma yuuus. I like to read wherever there’s light... my house gets terrible lighting LOL. So while I would love to read at night sometimes that isn’t an option. Early morning in bed is usually best, but I also love reading in one of the classrooms I do tutoring for. I have a three hour gap once a week and during that time there’s no one in that classroom so I go in there and read. :)
At home in bed, A comfy chair, at shore (family) on deck or on beach even though most time I'm people watching. I even go to library with e reader and read. I wish there was a coffe place there is Starbucks but at a lousy location to get in and out off or in target.
Panera is actually like my version of dunkin donuts, I didnt have many friends during school so I would go during lunch break to read and I still do now. Where I'm living now the only place I can really read is my bed, but once I get my own place I would love to have a reading nook like yours, that just looks so cozy!
I like reading on the train. My travel time to and from university is 3 hours via public transport, so I like to read. I find I read more efficiently on the train than I do anywhere else.
My absolute favorite place to read is my couch. It's just the perfect set up with the right amount of pillows for my back and a comforter to keep me warm. Plus the hubs brings me hot tea in between gaming sessions :)

Oh my gosh, if I ever make it out to New York and hang out with you can we PLEASE go to Witches Brew because I’m in love!!! This is super random but a couple weeks ago I had a weird dream where I was assigned to go through and reorganize the shelves of a library but it was one I didn’t recognize at all. Then I see the video and it hits me. It’s your college third floor library!!!! Talk about crazy! Lol. I love love LOVE reading in the bath! I was actually going to read during my bath this morning before I started filming for the Bibliothon, but I got distracted by your videos which I’ve missed watching for a while. Lol Not gonna lie, I kinda laughed at those guys in b&n giving you funny looks as they walked by. This is an excellent video, my friend!! Honestly, I don't really have many reading spots outside of my room sadly. I don't really make it a point to get out to various locations just to read, which I would like to try more, but I don't have much time to. The closest I come to having reading spots is if I'm working on a theater production and the show doesn't require much of my attention For example, I worked on an opera that had 3 parts to it. The first part I was working the spotlight. The second part I made my way down from the spotlight booth to the stage right wing and my job was just wait for something to go wrong and fix it. However, nothing really ever goes wrong and so it was mainly just a good time for me to read. Then, between the second and third part I had to help with a scene change , but during the third part I got to continue reading. So yeah, those are mainly my reading spots away from home. However, this video does inspire me to try and find places to read that aren't at any of my places of work, so thank you for the inspiration!!
The only places where I read are at home, at school (sometimes during class 😂), and at a moving vehicle during commute. I clearly need to discover new places just like the ones you mentioned here Emma 😂

Reading in public places are always a hit or miss for me. I have a hard time focusing or getting going in a book when there are a lot of noises around me. Depending on the book it can be anytime, anywhere or in my bed at night
Interesting how we make certain places comfortable for us to read in. I can't really comfortably read in public or at my university library, I get too distracted by what's going on around me. However I carpool to work about 20 minutes from home and I always arrive 1-3 hours early so I've become a permanent occupant of one booth in the back of the Tim Hortons next door (canadian) and read there before my shifts every day. That coffee shop is SO cute wow
Still have never seen the ocean or been on a real beach. 😭 I’m a home body but not by choice. I’m a country kid who can’t drive 😂😂😂 lol but I do enjoy reading at Starbucks because there’s only one in my town, and the couches are almost always available, and I use to sit there and read for an hour before work because my school senior year was just a little ways away so I would catch a ride there, and then walk to work when it was time.
I only get to read there when I go early for practice, but the stadium seating at my pool's natatouium is a great place to read. Few people go up there when there are no swim meets & the white noise helps me immerse in the passage I'm reading. I'll try to find a suitable panoramic to tweet...
I like to read in my bed, at this local coffee shop in my town called West Oak, at this huge book store (that is actually in an opera house,,, it's super cool) called Recycled Books, and at my school's library in the basement (also known as the quiet floor)

The witches brew sounds awesome. My fav place to read: my literal harry potter closet under the stairs that my husband created and decorated for me for Christmas . its decorated with brick like walls fake stained glass lights, "floating candles" and bookshelves made of trunks .
Usually, I read whenever I can. So if I don't have any work in school (or I'm procrastinating) I just pull out my book wherever I am and just start reading. My favorite place to read is on my bed with all my candles and books next to me in the order of when I'm going to read them. My dog always comes up to cuddle with me while I read so she's my blanket!
I LOVE Witches Brew. I'm from Suffolk but sometimes it's WORTH the trek for that aesthetic, y'know? Love your channel bby
Oooo reading on the beach sounds lovely! Unfortunately that's going to be a major trek for me. I live way too far from the beach! 🤣 I guess I'll just stick to my cozy bed. (Shhhh don't let it know I was planning to go somewhere else 🤐)

I have this chair in my living room that I love reading at. I get so focused sitri f there and can easily knock out ten chapters in a day reading there.

This was delightful. Thank you for sharing. I love to read in pubs (or other public spaces), assuming there is just enough background noise that I can't hear one particular conversation.
My favorite places is the beach right down the road from my house on the LI Sound. At work while on break super comfortable couches in the break room. My room on my bed or in my reading nook. I also listen to audiobooks while taking a bath, I haven’t perfected the reading in bath with a book.🤷♀️🤷♀️ I also sometimes drive down to the riverfront in town that has benches and I will read there.

Haha I love DD! I never get to read out but I love Barnes and Noble, my town library, my school library, and cool beans is a cute coffee shop but it’s kind of far so like witches brew I never really get to go.
Ah!!! this video is great! you're really lucky that you're near the beach! I haven't read in a beach yet but i know its such an atmospheric place to be!
I struggle to go to dinner alone so I understand being in a busy coffee shop alone. I will say this though, I am envious of people who are comfortable going to places to read alone. It is liberating when you do go out to a public place and read alone. I go to chilis at like 8pm with headphones and a book. I get dinner and read.
I read on the campsite of a fantasy festival this weekend, wit gorgeous weather and a book so atmospheric it totally fit in there as well.
I'd recommend this, it's super relaxing.
A shame I have to travel so long to get to such a festival again.
I love to read at home, but one place I really love to read is my student run coffee shop on my campus. It has lots of old furniture, comfy chairs, delicious teas, ice cream, and it's always populated by the same people so it feels like home. Grounds for Change has this definite vibe that just makes me feel so at peace and happy, and it's one of my favorite places to read.

I mostly read whenever I can at school, and on the weekends I usually don’t go anywhere so I mostly read in my bed because it’s the quietest place and I get the least distracted there. When the weather’s nice though, I like to read in my backyard because it’s really peaceful and we can some comfy hammock-swing things that are perfect for reading! I also take my books a lot of places because I like to read in the car, but I don’t necessarily read them other places, just while I’m traveling from place to place, if that makes sense.
I looove reading in the bath! I was scowering etsy looking for some cute book candles, that I'll buy at some point!
Great video Emma 🖤 My favourite place to read is my own room. I have a forest photo wallpaper and it feels like reading in an enchanted forest! 🌳 Also I love reading in my grandparents’ garden. It’s so beautiful there 🌹🌻🌷

a really random place I love to read at when i'm the city is the whole foods in union square- on the upper level I sit at the end of one of the long communal tables right next to the huge windows and there's a really great view of union square and traffic and the empire state building!
Honestly, the only place where I get a lot of reading done is on my bed. Because firstly, it's surrounded by my bookshelves and secondly, I can read for hours on end without being disturbed or without there being a lot of noise...

I like to read wherever there’s light... my house gets terrible lighting LOL. So while I would love to read at night sometimes that isn’t an option. Early morning in bed is usually best, but I also love reading in one of the classrooms I do tutoring for. I have a three hour gap once a week and during that time there’s no one in that classroom so I go in there and read. :)

I love reading on the beach! Also, I’ve never been to Dunkin Donuts. I’m not sure if we even have one in Oregon
At home in bed, A comfy chair, at shore (family) on deck or on beach even though most time I'm people watching. I even go to library with e reader and read. I wish there was a coffe place there is Starbucks but at a lousy location to get in and out off or in target.
Panera is actually like my version of dunkin donuts, I didnt have many friends during school so I would go during lunch break to read and I still do now. Where I'm living now the only place I can really read is my bed, but once I get my own place I would love to have a reading nook like yours, that just looks so cozy!

I like reading on the train. My travel time to and from university is 3 hours via public transport, so I like to read. I find I read more efficiently on the train than I do anywhere else.
My absolute favorite place to read is my couch. It's just the perfect set up with the right amount of pillows for my back and a comforter to keep me warm. Plus the hubs brings me hot tea in between gaming sessions :)

This is super random but a couple weeks ago I had a weird dream where I was assigned to go through and reorganize the shelves of a library but it was one I didn’t recognize at all. Then I see the video and it hits me. It’s your college third floor library!!!! Talk about crazy! Lol.

Honestly, I don't really have many reading spots outside of my room sadly. I don't really make it a point to get out to various locations just to read, which I would like to try more, but I don't have much time to. The closest I come to having reading spots is if I'm working on a theater production and the show doesn't require much of my attention For example, I worked on an opera that had 3 parts to it. The first part I was working the spotlight. The second part I made my way down from the spotlight booth to the stage right wing and my job was just wait for something to go wrong and fix it. However, nothing really ever goes wrong and so it was mainly just a good time for me to read. Then, between the second and third part I had to help with a scene change , but during the third part I got to continue reading.
So yeah, those are mainly my reading spots away from home. However, this video does inspire me to try and find places to read that aren't at any of my places of work, so thank you for the inspiration!!
The only places where I read are at home, at school (sometimes during class 😂), and at a moving vehicle during commute. I clearly need to discover new places just like the ones you mentioned here Emma 😂

I actally read a lot home, but you video inspired me to go out and read outside your enviroment. I am going to challenge my self to read outside my house once a week.
i love the bath, bed, garden, my happy place down by the river, trains, buses, (not cars haha😷), coffee shops & any spare moment i get at work no matter where it might be lol x

I can read anywhere. In the car (not while driving, lol), in the line at the grocery store (on my phone), cafeteria at work, doesn't matter. My fave though is my recliner in the den or on the back porch when its nice out.

When I was little I had a favorite bench I would sit at during recess because I was a little introverted nerd lol and I also used to read a lot at my moms library during middle school. These days I mostly just stay at home or read in the school cafeteria :) I should find a place though
I’m also a huge fan of reading in the bath, the only time I get anxious about dropping my books is if they aren’t owned by me. I also really love going to my local library and finding a comfortable spot to sit and delve into whatever I’m reading. I wish I had more cute local coffee shops but there isn’t too many of those in the area that I live.
And just wondering what you are currently reading, because I have about 5 tbr and after that I have no idea what else to start on!

Reading in public places are always a hit or miss for me. I have a hard time focusing or getting going in a book when there are a lot of noises around me. Depending on the book it can be anytime, anywhere or in my bed at night
Interesting how we make certain places comfortable for us to read in. I can't really comfortably read in public or at my university library, I get too distracted by what's going on around me. However I carpool to work about 20 minutes from home and I always arrive 1-3 hours early so I've become a permanent occupant of one booth in the back of the Tim Hortons next door (canadian) and read there before my shifts every day.

Still have never seen the ocean or been on a real beach. 😭 I’m a home body but not by choice. I’m a country kid who can’t drive 😂😂😂 lol but I do enjoy reading at Starbucks because there’s only one in my town, and the couches are almost always available, and I use to sit there and read for an hour before work because my school senior year was just a little ways away so I would catch a ride there, and then walk to work when it was time.

I only get to read there when I go early for practice, but the stadium seating at my pool's natatouium is a great place to read. Few people go up there when there are no swim meets & the white noise helps me immerse in the passage I'm reading. I'll try to find a suitable panoramic to tweet...

I like to read in my bed, at this local coffee shop in my town called West Oak, at this huge book store (that is actually in an opera house,,, it's super cool) called Recycled Books, and at my school's library in the basement (also known as the quiet floor)
