Man I think you nailed it when you said you have to have realistic expectations because not all guns are quarter MOA guns sometimes they're not even half or 1 MOA guns. If I can get a factory barreled action or factory rifle off the shelf to shoot .75-1 MOA I'm happy anything else is just a bonus... You can and I have chased my tail trying to get something to shoot little 1 hole groups like my custom rifles and I've spent hundreds of dollars on components and bedding, and triggers trying to get it there when I could've just bought a great barrel and chassis for that money or saved myself a good bit of money along with a lot of headaches if I just accepted the 1 inch groups from a budget gun and moved on. Great advice and video as always keepem coming brother!!!
i recently just bought a howa 1500 vt stainless steel 243win, put it in a krg bravo stock with a arken optics sh4 gen 2 6-24x50 its shoots half inch groups all day with ADI 87gr vmax factory match ammo i recommend howa's to new and curret shooters love em
Hi Piet. Really enjoyed this series, thank you. Also struggle to get a 26" HB, so 24" it is. The series was a great guide as to what is achievable with a 300PRC. Looking forward to the build and load development when it arrives.
Hi Piet. Thanx for the great videos thus far on the 300 Prc. Have you made the video yet for the first set of shots on this 300 prc. ? If so, please send us the link. Can't find it anywhere on TH-cam. Greetings
dam YT... wanted to see the load dev in detail... not behind a pay wall, curious, what length barrel you got, I"m not imagining 2900 ft/s out of my barrel.
i found the same SUPER excessive neck tension on virgin factory lapua 6.5 prc brass, could not even seat a bullet with out absolutely demolishing it (>400 lbs on the amp press)
Ek skiet tans 6.5 prc en 300 prc hier in Canada. My "go to" rifles vir als. My 300 skiet met hornday matcah 225gr n .37moa en my 6.5 met 147elx van hornady skiet .78moa . Als store bought ammo. Moes n muzzle break op my 300 sit om hom beter te kry.
I'm already starting down the rabbit hole. In August I took a stock Savage Axis 308 to an intro course out to 400yds. The ammo I was using was from a small company and has now been out of stock for months. Last weekend I took the same rifle to a different lvl 1 class with different ammo that's more available and is what I regularly shoot. I knew I was going to have to re-zero but it took me forever to get on paper at 400- mostly due to user error (adjusting wind the wrong direction). I eventually got out to 600 and with the help of the guy next to me (who was kind enough to let me use his rifle because I ran out of ammo) was able to finish the steel targets at 600. Part of the problem was that I had to estimate muzzle velocity. A lot of my shots were simply going over the target. I'm picking up a Magnetospeed today but to get more constant velocities I've really been looking into reloading lately.
I shoot Lapua 139gr scenars in my 6.5 creedmoor and they are the most accurate I have found for 500yrds and less, I get around 1/4moa...But they don't have the highest BC and they fell off a little bit a 1000yrds...I did better with some Burger VLDs at 1000yrds
hard to run something that doesn’t exist. for my purposes, hornady eld match bullets perform just fine (even better in some cases) at near half the price.
Hey guys, we got a fellow here that because he runs a certain companies bullets, that means the Podcast Host and Owner of this channel SHOULD also load that brand as well. Damn he must be a dumb Mothertrucker this host of Impact Shooting eh? Because it’s he is just a newbie who doesn’t have any experience or won any awards in competition shooting sports or participated in any high level competitions or anything else creditable like that would indicate he has any solid experience or street cred…….

I really look forward to your reloading videos. I'm just getting into loading and I'm going to start load development for my .223 soon

Have ever blueprinted a Howa action and if so did you get reasonable accuracy gains ?
What size mandrel do you run through next on your Lapua brass?

@Piet, I've bought a Howa 300 PRC heavy barrel. Will be used for hunting and gong shooting. Which Warbird do you recommend?
Love to see some finnish made premium bullets💪
Hi piet. Howzit. Just a quick question. On the 30 sherman build y did you chooser to put it in a lss instead of a acc or ess
Do yourself a favor, buy some Peregrine Glider Rangemaster bullets. Their BC is truly insane. They also have a reloading data sheet on their website

What kind of matches does the 300 prc compete in? I was under the assumption that the cartridge was mostly recreational.

Loved the series, need a tikka tx3 upr series
Whats your thought on howa barreled action vs custom acion or maybe a premium action

Kan jy een video as jy die vid begin sê: “Awe snotties😂” asb
what would good enough accuracy be for PRS? half MOA?
Plenty good!
What is that red chassis in the background?
Any follow-up to this series in 2023? 2024?
I'm surprised you don't run solely burger bullets that's all I run in every rifle with the exception of Hornady A-Tips

I'll use bergers in every gun If YOUR paying for the projectiles bruz.
