I liked what the instructor did by telling that guy his gun was loaded, and revealing his flinch at trigger pull. Excellent way to teach! When I started, my instructor had us use 38 revolvers, and some rounds were real and some were dummy rounds ...so we couldn't anticipate if the gun was going to fire and recoil, or not. In my opinion, a great way to train, and a great way to start new shooters to avoid bad habits. Glad you had a good trip! ✌️
Vortex is my second most favorite optic brand. Night force is local to where I live and I've been beyond happy South NF. It's cool you are on with Vortex though. Mostly solid product, solid customer service, good people! Hopefully your time in the Cascades went well again. Maybe you actually got to deer or elk hunt!
Piet! I’m so close to there. Less than 100 miles. I would love to somehow meet you. I would love the opportunity to arrange some brief minutes to talk.Hopefully you aren’t freezing as we recently took a nose dive in the temps.
Piet, you've got some wheels. Probably the fastest runner on a range I've ever seen!! Have you ever considered 3 gun competitions or other run and shoot type of competitions??? With your quick transitions you would be great if your able to shoot fast and accurate too?? Not sure about your skills with other guns like pistol or shotguns but you've got the wheels to some impressive transition between shooting stations. Can you pull double tapsv inside the A zones on demand?? You may be in the wrong competitions!!! Does Sa Have any 3 gun competitions?? If so, you should give them a try chance real soon!!! They have world wide demand for those competitions. I couldc see you winning ac world wide evnt within a year of you throw yourself at a them seriously. Shoot as many matches as you can and train your ass off at your local range doing real world type of matches you put on yourself to improve as much as you can. Try to get a relationship with a world ranked teacher near you. When you start whipping his ass, go shoot the biggest match you can do without getting your family upset with you. I honestly can see you winning a world ranking event within 1 year after you start. Best news is your handgun and ammo is probably 90 percent cheaper than any thing you pay for with rifle anything... Optics didn't cost $4k k, but the very best will set you back about $650USD and manufacturers are ready for a person like you to sponsor their products today,!! You will also be able to shoot as many rifle matches that you want to because they rarely start or run on the very same days as a 3 gun or handgun match does. Vv The coaches aren't doing them on the same week. You will already know many of the shooters because gun competers are also in the other events because they love all gun competitions. I hope to see you win your first handgun or 3 gun event you shoot fairly soon. To those reading this post, please commit about this post and let Piet know he's got ac figure in these competitions too!!! Much easier than rifle competitions and much cheaper to participate in then than rifle competitive matches!!!! Know there are 10x the handgun TH-camrs than long gun fans. You'll make more money, spend less money, travel to really nice places and your family can go with you if you want them to go with you because there are places for fans to sit or do something not far from the matches while you try to win a world wide event that has real good prize money to the top 5-10 shooters online right matched that you may break even for the weekend only if you win the match, but probably not. Pro Tip: Talk to your Vortex contact about getting picked up on their teams for handgun or 3 gun events too. Knowing how much they like you. I'm sure they will be more than happy to help you with products and ammo with some initial $ to get you going to these types of matches... MDT may not do anything with pistols yet, but worth asking. Go for it Peit!!! Hi hard for it!!!!!
This video was awesome! On a somewhat unrelated note, I just got my Oryx chassis and triggertech diamond in today for my remington 700 sendero, got them installed before i realized that the trigger doesnt have a bolt release. My question is since I want to get into prs type stuff is a bolt release super crucial? I can release the bolt with a little screwdriver or toothpick, is this something I should consider another trigger for or jsut learn to keep something in my pocket to release the bolt?
