    Si!!!! I've literally just realised, less than 6 months after Klopp left us, he's going to be an employee of leipzig when we face them!! ALSO!!! He's again now working above Pep Linders again!
    There's a lot of interesting little subplots.
    Well I exaggerate actually, he doesn't start till January, but he's literally taken a job with a company/club that'll be facing us soon!!! He'll have players like Bajcetic and Clark way under him! Just a very interesting, strange change.
    BTW... Absolutely NO bad blood, nowhere near it. The Liverpool job, along with all the drama and media and stress, aged him 20 years and he deserves a nice job in football, without the full time pressure of management.
    Love that man.

    I don't begrudge him this opportunity. He's a Liverpool legend already, nothing can change that. I guess he's had enough of a sabbatical & he's ready to work again. I understand the disappointment of Dortmund fans but you're right that he'll bemore of a corporate boss now & not on field as a manager. I wish him all the best, as well as our new manager, the shiny one. Up the reds! YNWA 🚩 🚩

    A few points-
    -Red Bull has a bit of a fluffy and fun image to people outside Germany with their mad soap box races, air race and F1 team in an already overly commercial sport. But inside they are thought of as a Man City/Chelsea/PSG type plastic manufactured PR machine club. On top of that, the recently deceased RB boss Mateschitz had been pushing extremely right-wing ideology in Austria and Germany for a long time. Mateschitz personally made Servus TV, a TV channel which is essentially the Austrian version of FOX News - full of anti-immigrant, anti-vax, racist, anti-"woke" and conspiracy theory rhetoric.
    RB Salzburg has cannibalised the Austrian Bundesliga by winning 14 titles in 18 years. The German Bundesliga finally got a champion that is not Bayern, and who is that new champion? A club owned by a pharma company with a really dark history.
    -Dortmund is marketed as the true football fans' favourite. However, their transfer strategies are exactly that of Bayern - i.e., pinch all the top players from the best of the rest clubs such as Kobel, Schlotterbeck, Brandt, Guirassy, Beier, Ryerson, Nmecha, Anton, Bensebaini. And these are just the players from the current squad. Nothing wrong with that, the point is Dortmund fans have accused Bayern of the same method whilst being guilty of it themselves. Also, just before the Champions League final, it was announced that Rheinmetall (arms/weapons manufacturer company) will be a sponsor for the team. So, they are not quite what it seems.
    -Klopp does advertisements for “Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG)” which is an investment counselling company criticized publicly for their multi-level marketing (Pyramid scheme). So, I am not sure how much out of character that Red Bull move really is. But is it as bad a betrayal as Sol Campbell, McManaman, Owen or Torres? No. But then again, I don't expect the super rich to have much of a moral compass anyway. They live in an another world of reality.

    As a Liverpool fan I will forever be grateful to Klopp, but it is a bit disappointing to see him doing things contradictory to what he apparently stood for. Even in Liverpool he was so proud of us doing things 'the right way' and we championed him for it despite rivals mocking us. I can only imagine how much it would sting to Dortmund fans and I can't blame them for feeling betrayed.

    I understand Dortmund (and Mainz) supporters being upset that Klopp is helping Red Bull but he is doing it in a very limited role at a global level, he is not directly influencing RB Leipzig. As for Liverpool fans, we benefitted quite a bit from our club’s deals for RB players during Klopp’s tenure and RB Leipzig isn’t a big threat to us. Personally, I am not bothered in the slightest by Klopp doing this role for RB.
    In the Bundesliga, I support Eintracht Frankfurt and hate Hoffenheim. Leipzig is maybe my third least favorite club behind Bayern.

    I guess the question is how would us LFC fans feel if Klopp was to join Man City or Chelsea?
    I reckon all of us would be disappointed and annoyed. On the one side, I get why Dortmund Fans anger. On the other side, I get Klopps view - it’s his career and the RB corporation is super complex and very interesting, even if he’s only on the football side. It’s really interesting. It’s easy for us LFC fans to say well done to Klopp, it’d be different if he took a role at an English corporation in the EPL. RB are hated in Germany. The furore would be bigger with LFC fans if he were man managing another English football team as he has vowed he never would and that’s a public statement. Disclaimer: people and the world are shallow. Don’t be surprised if he went against his word in the future.

    • @liverpooljapan
      @liverpooljapan  21 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      I think it would be a different situation, mainly because Klopp said specifically he would never manage another English club, but I don't think he said that about German clubs. I think he definitely wants a new view and experience in football and that would be a great place to do it with the infrastructure, before he takes the German national job. RB are hated there, but he will be loved if he does good things with the national team. YNWA

      @Darkknight21789 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      @@liverpooljapan he did indeed say that. Trouble is, he is / was adored in Dortmund much the same as he was in LFC, so by default as soon as he takes another role with another German Bundasliga team, it was always going to irk the Dortmund fanbase. We would be exactly the same if Klopp ever takes another role with an English team down the line (whether or not he said he would or not)- you don’t always like it because he endeared himself to us so much, so it hurts seeing our direct Uk competitors get him. It would hurt less if he went from LFC to a non Uk team

    It will be denied but i think Klopp got tired competing against a blatantly cheating Man City and trying to compete with one hand tied behind his back by FSG's lack of ambition when it came to transfers. I also think Edwards coming back was a factor to as I think him and Klopp didn't see eye to eye IMO. I Also think FSG wanted to totally restructure the club and wrestle away power from the manager when it came to player signings. I may be totally wrong but this is my gut feeling on why Klopp actually left.
