Excellent video! Interesting! Never heard of this place. Hopefully the right person can get state and federal funding to bring new life to the house. Unique architecture.
@@hoodinthewoods The link says the page does not exist. Another possibility to explore is the Montague House in Christiansburg. It's old and has Civil War historical links. Most everything here on Hilton Head of historical value has been discovered though I think nearby Beaufort, SC may have some hidden gems remaining.
They are on Amazon but I am about to put out a new first book when I release the third book. Get it up to the level of the other two since it’s sort of “comic booky”. Just saying if you are buying books you might want to wait a couple weeks to see if I can get them done before Christmas
Yea and he doesn't mention that at least 7 enslaved people were murdered here and hung from trees and you can still see the foundation of the slave houses in the back yard. This is history they are hoping dissapears while they make a ruckus about some statutes. This needs to be restored and history should not be forgotten
I live about 2 miles from the octagon house. We used to ride our bikes there as kids.
Great videos!
Crazy enough my woman's great grandfather lived in this house for a brief time.

It’s very unknown for how historic it is. If you want to donate to the restoration effort there is a link to their non profit in the description box
