    Sick bro... I have a c450 that I bout 2 weeks ago, just took it to MB for a full service and guess what came in the mail today... Cold Air Kit and Burgers Blow-Off Valves... I'm already impressed with how yours sounds... Can't wait to hook this all up tomorrow!

      How are your blow off valves? Same engine here in my e400 i was hoping a blowoff would sound good on this engine because the stock one is so quiet

    how did you remove the middle part of the intake? These are the longer pieces that go to the air box.

    I know its been 4 years, not even sure if these are still installed. Ive had my 400 for about a year now, and was thinking about doing this. I know the question was asked already, but after having them on for some time, how is the heat soak? I know the M276 engines run hot

    Hey quick question for you,
    What are your thoughts on this intake system? Is heat from engine really a concern? Would you recommend this system for c43 owners?
    Appreciate you, thanks for the great video.

    • @DavesMotorCars
      @DavesMotorCars  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i wouldn't worry about the heat, it doesn't seem to make that much of difference, it comes with heat shields and i think they a pretty good job. would be great for a c43 the difference is definitely noticeable!

    Is this called cold air intake? It looks like a short ram intake. Cold air intakes usually goes down behind the front bumper.

    • @DavesMotorCars
      @DavesMotorCars  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's just a general term used when the stock airbus is removed. This particular car does have airducts that directs the air towards the intakes.

  • @ahemgee9542
    @ahemgee9542 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Not much benefit if doing this unless the car is tuned as and running higher boost. Also you need to dyno it and or run some Dragy times to measure the before and after improvement.

    • @DavesMotorCars
      @DavesMotorCars  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Not true, all modern cars can self tune the AFR for slight modifications. Anything more than this though and you'd be correct. I don't plan on doing any other mods at this time.

    • @DavesMotorCars
      @DavesMotorCars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      guess you missed the part where the heat shields were installed. The oem vents provide direct cool air from outside.

      @@DavesMotorCars - I'm sorry my friend. It's a nice attempt, but it's not gonna be better than the stock airbox and air intake that they spend thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars researching and building. A real cold-air intake will be 100% blocked off from the engine compartment

    • @DavesMotorCars
      @DavesMotorCars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thousands of dollars worth of research to make it EPA approved, has nothing to do with performance. Aftermarket will always be better.
