I tried to thsi exact test today by using 60Kv DC and all I got was droplets of water jumping fro the needle towards the plate. Would you please let me know what should I do to get the fine spray? Thanks in advance.
Try using a liquid with a lower surface tension like ethanol. The surface tension of water is too high in ambient conditions to be processed in this manner.
