I like both games. Xenoverse two is more of an rpg with heavy brawling/fighting elements (with brownie points cause it has skins like majin vegeta) and fighterz is a straight up fighting game with more flashy and fun to watch gameplay. It boils down to which type of gameplay you like more and if you like rpg elements implemented.

I spent so much time with Xenoverse 2, I learned the in’s and out’s of the game, beat all PQ’s and most of the story, and I saw the dirty truth of the game, even before FighterZ came out. Gameplay devolves into just “who’s gonna run out of stamina first,” and the combat is so shallow, most of what you do is automatic. Speaking of combat, the online pvp is SO AWFUL! The lag is ungodly awful, and I don’t even know how the hell the netcode works either. You can get hit by melee attacks from a large distance away, how the heck does that even work? I can play FighterZ at 3-5 frame delay, while XV2 can’t even hold a stable match half the time. The Xenoverse 2 fanbase is also one of the most whiny, entitled, and toxic fanbases I’ve ever encountered, it’s so bad. You say one thing that even remotely eludes to the game having one flaw and they will attempt to rip your eyes out. Sure the FighterZ fanbase also doesn’t like it when people shit-talk about the fighting system, but that’s because the majority who complain about FighterZ are just casuals who don’t know how to play the game “properly” I guess you could say. The only thing I can say about Xenoverse 2 that has an edge over FighterZ is the story and the roster. But even then, Xenoverse 2 barely has ANY character balance and more than half the characters are near unplayable because of it, and to properly advance through the story requires level grinding, and nobody, NOBODY likes level grinding. It’s all too bad that Bandai didn’t see it that way, and to this day still continue to support it. You can’t blame them though, they gotta wring every last dollar out that game before they kick it to the curb.

I don't understand how anyone gets super serious in PvP with most games since a few years after the game is released it won't matter. you won't be able to play multiplayer anymore since you either won't be able to find anyone playing online unless its a super popular game or the servers will be shut down.

It's not bandwagoning, I only bought Xenoverse because it was a DragonBallZ game. Fighterz will have a much better community and will have a much longer longevity too due to its depth as a actual fighting game. If you playing Xenoverse 2 as it is, an arcade game and you like it for that sure. But saying it's more competitive and more skill based than Fighterz is objectively *WRONG*. :) Auto combo "spammers" will always lose to the person who actually have the skills 100% of the time, but it doesn't stop the casual from having fun either.

I doubt it it'll have more longevity than Xenoverse 2. XV2 dropped in 2016 and there's so many people still playing it that they're pushing the developers to release DLC packs in 2018. When a new Dbz game drops next year, presumably Xv3, people are gonna drop Fighterz like a bag full of bricks.

Xenoverse 2 made me cry. The lag was too much. I would be right in front of my opponent hitting him and it would do zero damage but he would be across the map but he magically hit me. I took the game out so many times because of that trash and that was two years ago. I would just take the trash out and contemplate my life. I would wonder why I payed 60 dollars for trash. ER Room Though these two are different genres (And I completely respect your opinion), I'm going with FighterZ on this one. I was sadly forced to return XV2 after playing it since launch. All of my friends started to get bored, and when we all hoped on hoping for a great time, what we got was hit detection like no other. The netcode was so broken, our stamina breaks were missing when we'd purposely let us pull it off. Until Dimps starts working on there bugs and not adding more paid content in the game, I'm going to pass on XV3. I prefer the extreme learning curve of FighterZ.

I came from the Storm games. I still love them to death especially Storm 4. I never liked Xenoverse because The gameplay seemed so mundane. Playing FighterZ I got my ass beat a lot but learned and practiced and now I’m a decent player
Seriously though, if we can get Xenoverse to have combo mechanics that are a mix of Raging Blast 2, Tenkaichi 2, and Tenkaichi 3 including limiting the snap vanishes to certain parts of combos it would be a lot more solid. (Also there is no excuse to not have beam clashes or giant characters, it just comes off as lazy on Dimp’s and Bandai’s part)

LOL so true, I was hesitating when I got the PS4, wondering with DB game to get my hands on. Then, I checked out gameplays on TH-cam. Final Conclusion? Even Xenoverse comes with more characters(Jiren, Toppo, Dispo, etc) the gameplay doesn’t look right to me. So I got the FighterZ, enjoyed the story mode, made me wanna play even more, then urged me to get a Plus Membership just to enjoy the online mode. I m saying, if I were new and wanna decide on which to get, I check out the gameplays and comments. And there goes a big goodbye to Xenoverse.... (Xenoverse was on discount earlier on PS4, I thought about it a little, AGAIN. Still couldn’t stand the gameplays, and ended up purchasing all DLC available for FighterZ instead)

Here comes the hate. Xenoverse 2 is not a bad game at any meanes. And it has loads of characters and arenas. But I think we all know that, "MOAR CONTENT," does not mean it is a good game. And If there is one dude who says that Xenoverse 2 has better graphics than FighterZ, I am going to jump off a bridge. Xenoverse 2 is average at best. While FighterZ, is a step in the right direction.
You can't compare their graphics anyway. One is based of the manga art (I believe) the other is got nothing to base off of, other than previous games. The other reason is that they are made at different times, one made years ago, other present, we have advanced extremely fast over the past couple of years, meaning you can't really compare them to begin with. They both are good graphics for the time they were made.
Nah DBF uses the same shading style that Guilty Gear Xrd uses, whichcame out a year before Xenoverse. So it isn't even about graphics developing, they were already using that anime-accurate style a year before XV.

XV2 was just a game that played to pass time. I played for just being a DB fan. DBFZ gave me accomplishment since I'm a hardcore fighting game fan. If I wanted to play a GOOD Arena fighter, I could just play Gundam Extreme Vs Full Boost or PS4 Gundam Vs because those ARE the 3D Arena Fighter done right.

Honestly as games I found Xenoverse 1 and 2 enjoyable for a time it felt good to be able to put yourself into the world of DB but as fun as the games were for maybe the first few months they got stale very quickly due to the repetitive missions and terribly simple combat system where you could find one combo and repeat it in PvE missions and never lose, plus it was a huge pain having to constantly repeat the same missions over and over until you finally get that one move that you wanted or even doing it even more because a characters costume you wanted was on that mission and you have to play it at least 4 times if you got lucky and got the set without getting duplicates or nothing at all and I won't speak of the PvP for the games since I only did it with friends and never had issues with those matches so it wouldn't be fair to judge it based on what I saw other people experience.

You just play video games for a good time and you really shouldn't listen to people hating on dbxv2 because you enjoy xenoverse and they can't. There is some really annoying in FighterZ: The constant invisible walls. Even in Tekken games you can expand the stages as you get farther from the other player.
FighterZ is awesome. At my job everyone wants to take breaks because we got fighterz in the breakroom. Its a great multiplayer game and its pretty quick. Xenoverse is just a grind.

I spent so much time with Xenoverse 2, I learned the in’s and out’s of the game, beat all PQ’s and most of the story, and I saw the dirty truth of the game, even before FighterZ came out.
Gameplay devolves into just “who’s gonna run out of stamina first,” and the combat is so shallow, most of what you do is automatic. Speaking of combat, the online pvp is SO AWFUL! The lag is ungodly awful, and I don’t even know how the hell the netcode works either. You can get hit by melee attacks from a large distance away, how the heck does that even work? I can play FighterZ at 3-5 frame delay, while XV2 can’t even hold a stable match half the time.
The Xenoverse 2 fanbase is also one of the most whiny, entitled, and toxic fanbases I’ve ever encountered, it’s so bad. You say one thing that even remotely eludes to the game having one flaw and they will attempt to rip your eyes out. Sure the FighterZ fanbase also doesn’t like it when people shit-talk about the fighting system, but that’s because the majority who complain about FighterZ are just casuals who don’t know how to play the game “properly” I guess you could say.
The only thing I can say about Xenoverse 2 that has an edge over FighterZ is the story and the roster. But even then, Xenoverse 2 barely has ANY character balance and more than half the characters are near unplayable because of it, and to properly advance through the story requires level grinding, and nobody, NOBODY likes level grinding.
It’s all too bad that Bandai didn’t see it that way, and to this day still continue to support it. You can’t blame them though, they gotta wring every last dollar out that game before they kick it to the curb.

It's not bandwagoning, I only bought Xenoverse because it was a DragonBallZ game. Fighterz will have a much better community and will have a much longer longevity too due to its depth as a actual fighting game. If you playing Xenoverse 2 as it is, an arcade game and you like it for that sure. But saying it's more competitive and more skill based than Fighterz is objectively *WRONG*. :) Auto combo "spammers" will always lose to the person who actually have the skills 100% of the time, but it doesn't stop the casual from having fun either.
CountDorkAlot Gaming there are a lot of methods for shutting down flowcharting asshats. Those who flowchart are those who have played Xenoverse 2 and yet have some idea what they're getting into with fighterZ, just not enough to actually learn the game and play like a proper person.
I doubt it it'll have more longevity than Xenoverse 2. XV2 dropped in 2016 and there's so many people still playing it that they're pushing the developers to release DLC packs in 2018. When a new Dbz game drops next year, presumably Xv3, people are gonna drop Fighterz like a bag full of bricks.

Xenoverse 2 made me cry. The lag was too much. I would be right in front of my opponent hitting him and it would do zero damage but he would be across the map but he magically hit me. I took the game out so many times because of that trash and that was two years ago. I would just take the trash out and contemplate my life. I would wonder why I payed 60 dollars for trash.

ER Room Though these two are different genres (And I completely respect your opinion), I'm going with FighterZ on this one. I was sadly forced to return XV2 after playing it since launch. All of my friends started to get bored, and when we all hoped on hoping for a great time, what we got was hit detection like no other. The netcode was so broken, our stamina breaks were missing when we'd purposely let us pull it off. Until Dimps starts working on there bugs and not adding more paid content in the game, I'm going to pass on XV3. I prefer the extreme learning curve of FighterZ.

I came from the Storm games. I still love them to death especially Storm 4. I never liked Xenoverse because The gameplay seemed so mundane. Playing FighterZ I got my ass beat a lot but learned and practiced and now I’m a decent player
Seriously though, if we can get Xenoverse to have combo mechanics that are a mix of Raging Blast 2, Tenkaichi 2, and Tenkaichi 3 including limiting the snap vanishes to certain parts of combos it would be a lot more solid. (Also there is no excuse to not have beam clashes or giant characters, it just comes off as lazy on Dimp’s and Bandai’s part)

LOL so true, I was hesitating when I got the PS4, wondering with DB game to get my hands on. Then, I checked out gameplays on TH-cam. Final Conclusion? Even Xenoverse comes with more characters(Jiren, Toppo, Dispo, etc) the gameplay doesn’t look right to me. So I got the FighterZ, enjoyed the story mode, made me wanna play even more, then urged me to get a Plus Membership just to enjoy the online mode. I m saying, if I were new and wanna decide on which to get, I check out the gameplays and comments. And there goes a big goodbye to Xenoverse....
(Xenoverse was on discount earlier on PS4, I thought about it a little, AGAIN. Still couldn’t stand the gameplays, and ended up purchasing all DLC available for FighterZ instead)

Here comes the hate. Xenoverse 2 is not a bad game at any meanes. And it has loads of characters and arenas. But I think we all know that, "MOAR CONTENT," does not mean it is a good game. And If there is one dude who says that Xenoverse 2 has better graphics than FighterZ, I am going to jump off a bridge. Xenoverse 2 is average at best. While FighterZ, is a step in the right direction.
You can't compare their graphics anyway. One is based of the manga art (I believe) the other is got nothing to base off of, other than previous games. The other reason is that they are made at different times, one made years ago, other present, we have advanced extremely fast over the past couple of years, meaning you can't really compare them to begin with. They both are good graphics for the time they were made.

XV2 was just a game that played to pass time. I played for just being a DB fan. DBFZ gave me accomplishment since I'm a hardcore fighting game fan. If I wanted to play a GOOD Arena fighter, I could just play Gundam Extreme Vs Full Boost or PS4 Gundam Vs because those ARE the 3D Arena Fighter done right.

Honestly as games I found Xenoverse 1 and 2 enjoyable for a time it felt good to be able to put yourself into the world of DB but as fun as the games were for maybe the first few months they got stale very quickly due to the repetitive missions and terribly simple combat system where you could find one combo and repeat it in PvE missions and never lose, plus it was a huge pain having to constantly repeat the same missions over and over until you finally get that one move that you wanted or even doing it even more because a characters costume you wanted was on that mission and you have to play it at least 4 times if you got lucky and got the set without getting duplicates or nothing at all and I won't speak of the PvP for the games since I only did it with friends and never had issues with those matches so it wouldn't be fair to judge it based on what I saw other people experience.
y'all need to calm the fuck down. I can explain what's going on. People who played dbxv2 all noticed one thing... The net code is bad like 60% of the time. This scared away every tryhard from this game because surely something with bad net code can't be good. Little did they know it had tons of content and so much more to do than just pvp. This split the fandom in 2. Tryhards, and casuals. The tryhards are playing fighterz now because it's online mode is cleaner and it's easy to get good in a few hours (seriously if you try you can become godly with at least 1 character in 3/4 hours). The casuals stuck with xenoverse because it has SOO much more to do. Now if you play xenoverse you ARE a casual and that is not bad. You just play video games for a good time and you really shouldn't listen to people hating on dbxv2 because you enjoy xenoverse and they can't. And anyone playing fighterz shouldn't listen to people playing dbxv2 because they aren't hardcore pvp gods and shit. Neither people's opinions matter to the other. Now leave each other alone and stop hating on each other's games. If you are playing fighterz for the story...you wasted money because as soon as it's done you will most likely never play it again because all you can do now is unlock everything and do pvp.
I'm from the future and i'm here to say that in my time it is December 12th 2019 and is still alive but on it's last dlc dlc 10 or ultra pack 2 and far more new shit than fighterz
Dlc doesn't mean quality, they're pretty much milking the game, which wouldn't rlly matter if atleast the game is good, which imo isn't really awful, but fighterz is alot more fun

There is some really annoying in FighterZ: The constant invisible walls. Even in Tekken games you can expand the stages as you get farther from the other player.

FighterZ is awesome. At my job everyone wants to take breaks because we got fighterz in the breakroom. Its a great multiplayer game and its pretty quick. Xenoverse is just a grind.

You do realize that in fighterz, instead of actual lag the game pauses until both players' connection keep up with each other. A lot more annoying than you think.
