It really is true because that is also the thing with juice cleanses for example.... those are actually not really good for u (depending on your bodytype) cause your liver does that cleaning for you. So a juice cleanse in that sense does nothing new or better than your liver already does.

Exactly! Females especially have extra fat and less testosterone (stuff that makes muscles), because we're "made to reproduce" so our bodies are made "different." EVERYONE has that little bit of fat at the lower part of their stomach. I do too!

I'll add that people shouldn't say "I'm so fat, I need to lose weight" in front of people (or anyone) because your words can really affect your friends and even yourself

Yeah especially if they see you as smaller than them and you say that, they’ll think that they’re “fatter” than you. Thanks for saying that.

I’m a little late but the way she talked about how the body is made to protect the organs made me want to comment this. That hit me hard. I have always been harsh on my thighs and hated them. 1 month ago I almost died, but my thick thighs saved me from puncturing my major artery. I basically got a bike brake ten cm deep into my thigh. I got rushed to the hospital and got nine stitches. I fond out later that day that if i hadn’t had that amount of thigh fat I would have not be able to walk. The fat saved me from destroying my muscle tissue. That day I learned to love myself. To love my body.
I hope that you understand after reading this that your body is meant to carry you through life, not a cute picture in a bikini on Instagram.

When you said people used to call you big for being taller, that hit me SO HARD. I was always the tallest kid in my class and in my family. Constantly being called or feeling like a "cow" made me feel just super not feminine because I thought all girls had to be petite and small. It's really nice to see someone with such a platform speak out about this because I think for a lot of girls, these feelings are all super internalized. I love you, keep doing what you're doing, you're helping so many of us!
Also, my favorite thing about myself are my eyes :)

Good for you, you get all the attention. You can sculpt your body, look like a woman.... Im 5'2 I get bullied for being short, I live in a country where the average height of women is 5'6, I feel like nothing, I'm short, I can never look like a woman., I feel so worthless. I will never wear a bikini, I'd rather say that I'm on my periods, because I have banana rolls, and I really want to have surgery. And I want to lose weight, too, bit I can't because then I won't have boobs, so I want a boob job too... You are so lucky to look like a woman

PREACH IT AGAIN GIRL: size DOESNT matter, what’s more important is comfort!! It’s taken me sooo long to accept that, especially bc all of my friends were athletes w amazing toned & beautiful bodies. Might I add, I also live in Hawaii so I totally get the whole bikini body confidence things. ANYHOO, I’m not an athlete, I don’t spend as much time training as they do, I’m MEEEE. I’m so thankful to be given this body w my curves, tanned (not so tan anymore) skin, and wavy hair. SO YAY to body confidence and this wonderful self love journey! 💗 wish this video existed when I was in high school, but glad this came out to help everyone and anyone! 🌟

Tips to be confident throughout this wonderful video made by the queen herself:
    - Wear bikinis that flatter you, fit well, and make you confident :)
-certain things look good on certain people, and we all have different bone structures!
    - Don't look at social media as realistic!
-nobody is perfect! social media is the BEST, most flattering angles people have gotten, don't forget that people don't show everything on social media, they only show the highlights.
    - Remind yourself that everyone is different, and that's what makes us amazing!
    - if you want to stay/become healthy to boost your confidence, following someone's routine exactly may not necessarily work for you because you may have a different body type than they do:)
    - High-wasted Bikinis/One-Pieces are perfect for days that you may not want to wear a tiny suit- it's ok to have some bad days, and wear whatever you want, whatever makes you comfortable! Plus, they're cute and stylish!
    - Feeling insecure isn't the same as being insecure- it's normal to feel insecure sometimes, but BEING insecure is more permanent and not healthy.
    - Love what you have and what you are given with :) it's your body, learn to love it because everyone is beautiful in your own way :)
    - You don't need crazy diets, juice cleanses, insane workouts to be beautiful :)
    THANK YOU AVA FOR THIS

But for anyone that just needs a pick up today, you are beautiful in everyway shape and form, and if people are judging you that's honestly their problem, not yours you shouldn't have to change for someone else. And if you are going to change something about yourself, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let it be for yourself and make yourself feel good, and not for someone else

yes!! having rolls and a lil stomach pouch is SO normal. i have always been on the smaller, slimmer side and growing up i went through hating how skinny i was yet resenting the fact that i didn't have a flat stomach. like?? in high school i danced consistently and was active and ate fairly healthy and yet i still did not have a flat stomach. didn't understand & hated it for a while but now i realize it is so normal to have not have a flat stomach and i'm so ready for us all to recognize that!! it's literally just as beautiful and there's nothing wrong with it.

I’ve been doing the chloe ting workouts and they are really hard for me and i’m not seeing results and in on my second week. I eat healthy and always try to have good affirmations but that’s all that matters. Maybe my body wasn’t meant to be changed. I AM beautiful and maybe that’s why God made my body not want to have results. I learned that from you. Thank you for all that you have gotten me though Ava. I love you!

    • @Alexmary
      @Alexmary 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

Hey! I think it’s good to switch up workouts too! Sometimes the repetitiveness can be tough and her’s specifically aren’t the most effective. Also progress can take months to “SEE” which is fine because during that time it’s your chance to FEEL yourself getting better. You are so write on how God has made all of us with a plan in minds. You are beautiful at any point and he would rather you be wonderful at heart than any beauty standards that won’t matter when our soul goes to heaven.
For other workouts I suggest: Pamela Reif (has free workout plans on instagram) Madfit, Natasha Oceane, popsugar, yoga with Adrienne, and Whitney Simmons.
You’ve got this girl and you’re amazing. ❤️

Hey Girl. I feel the same way. I did her entire Hourglass Challenge and i killed it, I was eating well and my results were really good but i still didn't feel as confident as i expected so i tried her 28 day shred but i gave up halfway because i was not enjoying it AT ALL, it was way too hard on me so don't beat yourself up over it! It might just not be the routine you need. Try something light so it can give you that confidence boost and energy instead of focusing on results

i honestly love ava. she's one of the only teenage-youtubers on this app that speaks openly about issues everyone has and does so in such a way that you can relate to her journey of self-confidence and can project her tips onto yourself, because there's a lot of people telling you that they 'struggle with self-confidence everyday themselves' and then you look at them and you're like 'girl, where?'. her having a normal body makes me believe that what she's saying is very authentic and genuine.

Hey girl, seems like you have really good friends and are on the best path to overcome your struggles in body image. It's so cool that you're starting to build a good mindset in such a young age! I can tell you that it's the best thing you can do, because I have been in a similar situation all my life until now (I'm nearly 16 now). I started comparing myself to others when I was 5 years old and have not stopped until this day, and when my friends became my bullies when I was 7 years old I started to have serious problems. The bullying, which was people telling me I'm fat and ugly (the "normal" stuff) and guys pushing me, beating me up and stealing my stuff, really killed my self-worth (even my teacher was on the bullies' side). I'm also a really shy person, so I didn't stand up for myself or tell my family what was going on at school. In 5th grade I entered a new school and I didn't get bullied there and I found friends, but until this day there are still a lot of people who talk mean things about me behind my back, I had a little cyberbullying adventure and there were guys harrasing me verbally and physically. Fake friends are a big thing as well. Soooo long story short I don't have any self-worth and I doubt myself all the time, I developed social anxiety and nearly an eating disorder and I got obsessed with working out. I'm on a long path to self confidence and loving myself just like everyone who went through bullying at any time of their life and it's so important to stop comparing yourself and defining your worth by what other people tell you. Look in the mirror and accept and love yourself! I wish you so much luck in you life :)

Seeing myself cry while watching this video made me realize how insecure I was without even realizing. Thank u sm Ava for letting me realize and letting me finally accept myself as who I am. I have been so depressed for the past few months especially because I’ve been on social media a lot more recently. It’s so sad to see that I’ve been struggling with body confidence and thinking less abt myself while thinking I’m not insecure. Comparing myself to others has become a habit and desensitized my thoughts into thinking I am supposed to be like them or I’m not good enough and I can’t do anything abt it. Although I’m still struggling with body confidence, my mindset has changed and now I think that everybody is different and even the ppl who look gorgeous has insecurities. Yes it is a struggle to have no confidence but we can definitely change it. It helped me sm by writing down my negative thoughts. After writing them down I would rip them and then jot down the exact opposite of what I wrote. Writing lists of what I like abt myself and what I’m thankful for. Just know there are ppl who will genuinely love u for urself !🥰

im 13 and im flat as a board and 4”6. i literally have the body of an eight year old. i hate it so much every single one of my friends look like actual women and they are filled out and i know i’ll grow eventually. but impacts me so much because i feel like my body is broken. i get up and i look in the mirror and i feel broken. i know the cause of the problem is different but i can relate to the feeling of not liking my body. thank you for making this video

honestly, don't even bother worrying about that sort of stuff. you're only 13 and its totally normal to develop at different ages! Just remember that you're beautiful and your body is a temple!:)

Don't worry! You're only 13 and don't need to focus on that, although it definitely is easy to have on your mind. We are all built differently. Although it is challenging, we need to remind ourselves daily that there is not a perfect body. The most important thing is that you are happy. Instead of working on your body, work on your mindset. I hope this helps! ☀️🦋

i felt so happy through august - december 2019 but as soon as covid hit, and having to go through lockdowns, i slowly started losing how i felt and how happy + confident i felt. i found that circumstances can also change how you feel. i also found that depending who youre around can help how you feel. if im around people who make me happy and havent talked about me, i feel so much confidence because we all boost each other up, and not comparing ourselves to each other.

i don’t know exactly what you said when i started tearing up, but i cannot thank you enough for making this video. it’s truly amazing the impact a single video can have on your entire mindset. thank you for doing this; for wanting to help people and make a positive difference in this world. thank you for being YOU, ava. you said the words i didn’t realize i needed to hear. i fully believe that ANYONE and EVERYONE can benefit from this video, regardless of how confident they are in themselves. thank you for being a role model to me and to so many others. you inspire me so much in so many ways. in all seriousness… you should consider writing a book someday. you have so many powerful messages to share that people need to hear. i love you man!!!!!!!! 🤟🏽🖤

ava, ur so inspiring and real. i’ve been feeling down about this specific topic of myself, so this is exactly what i needed. my family always criticizes how i look and how “fat” i am. my parents are both health freaks and both doctors. i was always the “bigger” child. when i was like 16, i had a really huge unhealthy eating disorder phase. i lost a lot of weight but i got so fed up with the pressure i had so i stopped. i got bullied a lot about how i looked. my neighbors that i would hang out with when i was younger would say things like “the swing only carries ppl under ____ pounds.” or even worse when we would go in the pool and they’d say “how much do u weigh? you can only go on the tube if your not fat and under ____pounds”. i’m crying as i write this. but to switch it around, i’ve learned that i really like my smile. i’m still extremley insecure about my rolls and stretch marks on my stomach from the constant weight changing and my arms and my thighs and my neck. thank u for this.
