So many ways to accomplish your final image in PS….I would have done things a little differently, but that doesn’t matter. What I liked most was your concept. I’ve been working on a series of images with colorful candy, and have been wondering how to incorporate water. I’m going to give this a shot. Thank you for your efforts. Over the years I’ve learned a good bit about studio lighting from your videos.
congratulations, your videos are wonderful and you have such a simple and clear way of explaining that you really explain everything on an easy way! I'm practically here attached to your channel always waiting for a new video of yours: really congratulations!!! start watching your videos I feel like trying it too
Great video and very helpful technique. I use photoshop elements11 with photoshop elements plus plugin on windows 10 and can try out your techniques with very little workarounds, keep up the good work.
Hello. You always talk about your light intensity. How can you compare this to the guide number of a flash? I learn a lot from your videos about tabletop photography. This is also what I do most. Not product photography, which is tabletop photography, but the same as what you show in your videos. This is also a very educational video, thanks for that. Kind regards from the Netherlands, Antoine.
Studio flash is calibrated in terms of its energy output in joules. A typical studio flash would be 500 Joules. Due to the number of variables involved, it is very difficult to correlate this to a guide number on a speedlight. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
I found that old Vivitar flashes in auto mode with aluminum foil under the water to be very effective at stopping water drop because the flash duration was only about 1/50,000 sec. Much faster than lowest manual power setting.
I have found my new favorite photography site. Great techniques and instruction..
Wow, thank you!
