We'll never get another Goldeneye 007 era. Those, NFL Blitz and Turok were some of the BEST times with couch co-op. No more split screen. Even in COD smh. It's sad times.
Couch Coop Games in 2024 looks like games from 1984. Ps1 have games like Bomberman with 5 Players, Ps2 have Games like Warriors. They dont do real Coop games anymore.
The people greenlighting sequels to popular 90s and 00 games are all clueless suits that never grew up playing the games they are making a sequel to. Thats the only rational explanation. Dropping split screen support for Perfect Dark 2 and Halo 6 just as all off us 90s/00 kids now want to share local co op gaming with our kids, grandkids, college friends and families is the dumbest corporate decision possible. What happened to the franchies we all grew up with? Stop dumping gameplay options for the sake of graphics already. For example, the new trailer they showed just isnt Perfect Dark. Most of us that played Perfect Dark/Goldeneye spent 90% of the time playing exclusively splitscreen local co op multiplayer with friends at sleep overs, or with our gfs/bfs, and at parties and in college dorms Thats the same issue with the new Halos. Most of us grew up playing Halo local split screen multiplayer in dorms or with gfs/bfs and at parties. A Perfect Dark and Halo without local splitscreen multiplayer and bot support just simply isnt those games. No one gives a cr*p if the graphics dont look next gen in splitscreen. F the graphics, give us back the local multiplayer we grew up with MS. While you're at it, give us back split screen multiplayer for the next Forza. Games like local co op multiplayer Burnout Revenge, Virtua Tennis, Mario Kart and Twisted Metal defined many childhoods.
@@sujashaguptavaka9630guarantee the thought process was, "its more profitable to not include ability for multiple players on a single copy of one game when we can make it so each person needs to buy a copy...sorry, a "license" to download for themselves to play together. 🙄The business aspect has truly killed the "hobby" in the last 3 generations. Recommend "Pummel Party" (up to 4 per console but 8 total) and "A hat in time" - looks like single player at first, but when u press menu at first location you get too after the tiny "intro" - then u can play as 2 :D Knack 2 - is also quite fun but nothing beats - It Takes Two (I think u might have listed these two, but mentioning just in case) - saw so many co-op vids lately :p

unravel 2 is one of my favorite games and IS co op, but I played controlling both characters and loved it. went and bought part one and it was awesome as well, but not co op. i was very impressed with both games and I hope they make another one.

Warning to those who’s Co-Op partner likes earning trophies, Lego Star Wars the Sky Walker Saga does NOT have trophy progression for player 2! Only player 1 will earn trophies despite the efforts of player 2 and yes, this is a decision the developers have made as it hasn’t been fixed since release.
When online co-op became a thing. Now we have to separate online and non online (couch). At least they're not saying co-op are any multiplayer game, even things loke Mortal kombat, street fighter and other versus only games. I've seen quite a few lists like that.
Fury unleashed: you failed to mention the very scalable difficulty settings! Considering skill gaps, it stands out vs many other games. I had my friend over. I started him with slightly more health at first. But he's a good gamer, and he soon grasped the style of play. I upped the difficulty (actually I did so for both of us) and we enjoyed the make or break challenge of it. Even for single player, it is great to be able to switch between challenging and casual pacing.
A hero shooter with split screen doesnt exist, closes I can kinda a think is gunfire reborn but youll need to be on pc and have nucleus coop which is pretty much a mod

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons on modern consoles IS 100% a co-op game. While the original was as you say the remake added co-op support where each player controls one character. Even the swith version from years ago has co-op.
Almost all the games here are indie-like titles. What happened to aaa games having co-op? I remember when i was able to play dragon ball z, army of two, call of duty, motor storm, portal 2, monster hunter and many more split screen. If the games in this vid are all the co-op games on ps5, im better off saving 700 dollars and playing mini clip instead.

I had my friend over. I started him with slightly more health at first. But he's a good gamer, and he soon grasped the style of play. I upped the difficulty (actually I did so for both of us) and we enjoyed the make or break challenge of it.
Even for single player, it is great to be able to switch between challenging and casual pacing.
Furry unleashed is actually on of the few games we put on the list that we have not personally played. So that is really good to know! Thank you!
