I currently own two of these little gems, both serviced recently. Preferable to find a specialist electronics engineer to bring an old unit up to par. Fortunately, Grundigs were VERY strongly made, and have endured well. The tone is superb. I have also owned a Grundig TK14, TK-35, and TK-40.
We had one of these purchased in Singapore, probably about 1956 ish. Great machine, only problem we ever has was the record volume/tone control became very noisy. I remember very well going to the distributor in Singapore City for a replacement pot. In those days you could purchase single components and make repairs!!
