The Civility won a sleeper contest last year with a 10 minute sleeper. That being said, how long a yoyo sleeps has just as much to do with how you throw it and do the tricks as it does the yoyo.

please help! i've got the first swing into a double or nothing but i am having trouble making sure the yoyo aligns with the string! when i swing it over to do the first slack movement, it misses the string and i end up just doing a swing without the slack moving with it. please help! thank you
If you are swinging the yoyo inline with the groove of the yoyo, then all you need to do to ensure that you hit the proper string is move your yoyo hand either forward or backward to move the string into the yoyos path.
It is all setup for responsive play. So if you want it for unresponsive, you will need to switch the bearing. For responsive play I lube the bearing every time I change the string, for unresponsive play I only lube the bearing when it starts to make more noise than usual.
taurus ceaser no. the dv888 comes responsive and even if you convert it to unresponsive it still lacks the spin time and features required to execute the long technical combos used in advanced competitions.

I ordered the Metal Drifter Unresponsive Kit four days ago now, and the tracking for the package has said "Shipment Information Received" and "Pre-Shipment" since day one. This is pretty frustrating. I'd like to know what is happening with my package, if it has shipped, and where it currently resides.
Something has been happening with the post offices around here where the tracking is not being updated until the package is half way to its destination. It looks like your tracking information has been updated now, however, and it is on the move.
I know this trick is really not difficult in terms of hand movement, but I have really hard time with the slack travelling around my nth, 9 times out of 10, it just stays on my non throw forearm while i pinwheel (i pay attention not to release the pinch) Any kind of advice ? :) Do the moment where you let go the string with your th import a lot?
If you lubed it with Brain Lube first you may need to clean the bearing if it does not become unresponsive. What I suggest you try before cleaning it is flooding the bearing with thin lube and then play with the yoyo for about an hour or so. That may flush out the Brain lube enough to make the yoyo unresponsive.

Hi i recently got the yoyofactory DV888 as my first unresponsive yoyo but for some reason it's acting resonsive sometimes. It may be two things. If there is too much string tension in the string it will cause the yoyo to be slightly responsive. If the yoyo is new the response pads may also need to be worn in a bit for it to be perfectly unresponsive. Lube may cause the bearing to play slightly responsive temporarily, but over time it will go back to normal.

Unfortunately, I am not sure I can help much. The way we do it in the video, I think, is that when you pinch the string the rest of the string will kind of fall in front of the pinch so it is not actually around your fingers.

This trick is actually lot harder than it look. I can do double or nothing and even triple but I am finding hard to rotate the yo yo from my left hand after pinching.

If you do not like undersized then chances are you will not like the Minute. We like it because it is the best playing undersized yoyo we have tried, and it has many of the qualities of a full sized yoyo while retaining the benefits of an undersized throw.

Hi, I'm using 106 cm long strings and for some of those tricks it looks like it is too short. Or it's not and i need just more practice. But i wonder, what string lenght are being most time used for those kind of tricks. What string lenght do you use? :)
Why do you guys not post more videos?I like the idea of one a week but when it's a trick out of my skill level or in a style I'm bored of I have to wait another week. Why don't you guys do one a week for every style? Is it the time it takes to edit and record, or you don' have enough tricks?
It is a time thing, it is just not feasible to release more videos than we currently release and run the rest of the business at the same time. That is just where we are right now. In the future, if the videos and the website becomes more and more successful, we will be able to get more help, which would allow us to produce more videos more quickly.
What tricks do you guys suggest to learn to impress the audience. I really want to impress people watching me, i prefer if the trick isn't too difficult, but I am fine if it is.
I somehow get the 3rd slack part to flow and form better than the 2nd... weird. For anyone struggling with getting that 2nd slack part, I found that not stopping like he does at 1:02 got it working better. Like, skipping through that stopping point at 1:02 and just going into the rotation to get the slack going helped. If that makes sense haha
Hey yotricks, love your videos! Quick question, how do you get your string tension to be neutral? Even when I'm using a brand new string, it seems to twist around itself.
If you used YoTricks thin lube and put in a bit too much lube then the yoyo will start off playing responsive but will eventually become unresponsive as you play with it.
dont worry that happened to my shutter too I accidentally spilled my lube on the bearing and it was super responsive, it will go away after awhile, or you can clean the bearing using paint thinner or mineral spirits
Those yoyos are pretty good, unless you get a bad bearing. I've only gotten one bad bearing and switched it out with a YYF center trac and the yoyo played fine. If you want a better yoyo I'd recommend the horizon Of for a little cheaper glide Or for even cheaper replay pro

day 3 after watching this video and practicing maybe 1.5 - 2 hours per day. just landed both parts of the trick. It works if you focus more on not putting the throw hand where its not supposed to be. you have to be quick to catch the first slack like he says or you will get an undermount and yoyo might snag up on you. second part of going back to the double or nothing is probably the hardest part. CUT THE DUDE SOME SLACK HE ACTUALLY TAUGHT IT WELL. look up dylan's video about it and you might get it.
started learning it today. got the mechanics down in an hour or two just gotta work on catching the slack and flowing with the trick better. its sad to see all the comments saying it doesnt work or they cant do it, either I learn fast or this is out of their current capabilities.
for anyone who has a prob learning this thing, stop ur yoyo spinning and understand how u should get the double or nothing after step one so be trying the motion and u should probably get it after 1hr or so
If you are having difficulty figuring out part of a trick, the best thing to do is try it a few different ways and see if anything works and then go back to the video to see if you notice anything different from what you are trying.

I'm having issues keeping my pinch on the string at 1:01. The pinch just deforms and i can't do anything from it.
As long as you can hold the pinch it should be okay if it deforms.

You need to allow it to be a little sloppy and uncomfortable, and just keep the motion going.

At 1:11 when you hit the string to get the slack its hard because when I do it the slack would loose its shape and not carrie on what can I do!!
The key is to keep the yoyo moving after it hits the string. Other than that I am not sure what other tips might help.

my non throw hand, it will catch the slack and it won't swing over so my throw hand can catch it on the 2nd swing

The string should only be looped around the axle once. If it is wrapped more than that, it was a mistake. The bearing is not lubed.

You do not have to have an unresponsive yoyo to do this trick, but it will be much easier to learn on an unresponsive yoyo.
Also, I accidentally used thin lube on my sage. Will this damage it at all? Will the functionality change?
The Thin Lube might cause the yoyo to play less responsive. But if it has not been a problem yet, you should be okay.

both will make it spin longer, also make sure the string isn't touching the sides of the yoyo too much

i can't catch the slack while spinning
Hi,
I'm using 106 cm long strings and for some of those tricks it looks like it is too short. Or it's not and i need just more practice. But i wonder, what string lenght are being most time used for those kind of tricks. What string lenght do you use? :)

Why do you guys not post more videos?I like the idea of one a week but when it's a trick out of my skill level or in a style I'm bored of I have to wait another week. Why don't you guys do one a week for every style? Is it the time it takes to edit and record, or you don' have enough tricks?
It is a time thing, it is just not feasible to release more videos than we currently release and run the rest of the business at the same time. That is just where we are right now. In the future, if the videos and the website becomes more and more successful, we will be able to get more help, which would allow us to produce more videos more quickly.

I somehow get the 3rd slack part to flow and form better than the 2nd... weird.
For anyone struggling with getting that 2nd slack part, I found that not stopping like he does at 1:02 got it working better. Like, skipping through that stopping point at 1:02 and just going into the rotation to get the slack going helped. If that makes sense haha
i think i made a new trick i did the 2 spins and then landed it into a gyrspohic flop
Hey yotricks, love your videos! Quick question, how do you get your string tension to be neutral? Even when I'm using a brand new string, it seems to twist around itself.

PLEASE HELP ME I JUST LUBED MY SHUTTER WITH THIN LUBE AND NOW IT IS PLAYING RESPONSIVE.
If you used YoTricks thin lube and put in a bit too much lube then the yoyo will start off playing responsive but will eventually become unresponsive as you play with it.
dont worry that happened to my shutter too I accidentally spilled my lube on the bearing and it was super responsive, it will go away after awhile, or you can clean the bearing using paint thinner or mineral spirits
Throw a really hard sleeper, and just hold it until it stops spinning. You may have to do this a couple of times, but the response will go away.

Those yoyos are pretty good, unless you get a bad bearing. I've only gotten one bad bearing and switched it out with a YYF center trac and the yoyo played fine.
If you want a better yoyo I'd recommend the horizon

day 3 after watching this video and practicing maybe 1.5 - 2 hours per day. just landed both parts of the trick. It works if you focus more on not putting the throw hand where its not supposed to be. you have to be quick to catch the first slack like he says or you will get an undermount and yoyo might snag up on you. second part of going back to the double or nothing is probably the hardest part. CUT THE DUDE SOME SLACK HE ACTUALLY TAUGHT IT WELL. look up dylan's video about it and you might get it.
day 5 and im hitting it like butter. easy to learn with heavier yoyo
I learned Brent stole and hidemasa hook in a couple days so this shouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for me.
started learning it today. got the mechanics down in an hour or two just gotta work on catching the slack and flowing with the trick better. its sad to see all the comments saying it doesnt work or they cant do it, either I learn fast or this is out of their current capabilities.
That's actually a sick way to get into double or nothing too
Everytime I get in the under mount and try to swing it, there is no slack. Even if I land it on there, There's still no slack to catch.

I am. All the strings just collapse into a little trapeze when I do it. No matter how hard I pinch the string at the end.
If it goes into a trapeze it seems like you must be missing the slack on its way around.
for anyone who has a prob learning this thing, stop ur yoyo spinning and understand how u should get the double or nothing after step one
so be trying the motion and u should probably get it after 1hr or so
i had trouble with the first part then, i realized that i could go into a under or nothing and it set me up for the second part of the trick

If you are having difficulty figuring out part of a trick, the best thing to do is try it a few different ways and see if anything works and then go back to the video to see if you notice anything different from what you are trying.

Scorpion Master There are affordable yoyo's out there. Skyva, Replay Pro, even the Protostar is on sale for $20 on one online yoyo store. But your best bet is getting a Sage unresponsive pack from the Yoyo tricks store.
