Hi, I am probably too late for a response to this video and topic, but maybe I’ll get lucky. I could not see any Approval certification stickers on the outer shell or on the liner. Is there one? Thanks
Due to the triangular panels on either side of the GT Air 2, it may be difficult to fit the 10C Pro. Though it should be possible, the best place for a clamp mount on the Shoei helmet tends to be behind the panels, which means that the shot may not come out as well as you'd like. We've also gone into the topic a bit more in our video here: th-cam.com/video/BrU81kMqOnc/w-d-xo.html Thanks for the question! What are your thoughts on the helmet?
Generally, coming in at around the 1400 gram mark is a decent result for a helmet with the number of features offered in the GT Air 2, especially considering how quiet it was when we tested it out on the road. That being said, there are certainly lighter helmets on the market inluding the AGV K6 and the HJC RPHA 70 Carbon, which also managed to tie with the Shoei when we took it out on our road test with our decibel meter. Thanks for the comment! Besides weight, what are your thoughts on the GT Air 2?
Both helmets are excellent touring options. When we took them out on the road, we found they both came in at 97 dB (the quietest we've tested to date) and the RPHA 70 Carbon also offered decent ventilation. One major difference to consider for the two helmets and touring would be their communication system options. While the GT Air 2 is specifically built for the SRL 2, which makes it difficult to mount any other system, the RPHA 70 and 70 Carbon are much more forgiving. Overall, both are premium helmets that do show this in their construction and quality. However, there are still some small features that will differentiate them. As far as the Chaser-X, it does have a stronger SHARP score (4/5) than the GT Air (3/5), though it is heavier. It also comes with all the added Arai safety features that we've come to expect such as the round shell shape and tough outer shell, though this safety focus does mean that the helmet does not come with an internal sun visor. Perhaps the *GT-Air II* a bit more aggressive or even the most aggressive than any other *Shoei* helmet, because of this whole new redesign. Also the add of a sun visor makes it even cooler. Now, as of aerodynamics I honestly don't know which of the two is the most efficient. The *GT-Air II* seems like it has everything. And weight wise between the two? Only 100 grams difference or so, on each size? Almost not noticeable. Those who complain about the Sena communication system for the *GT-Air II,* they should understand that it is *optional.* Yes, it may won't be a good idea in general, and that it may have some issues, but the most important is that it is optional. The *GT-Air II* doesn't have that problem. You can wear the new *GT-Air II* on whatever motorcycle, except the ones that are Off-Road.
Noise in a helmet can be a tough factor to pin down since it can often be affected by various factors such as riding position, fit, and the interior. However, opinions on the GT Air 2 do seem to be divided as to whether the GT Air 2 is quiet or not, which is perfectly fair. Thanks for the comment! Besides noise, how have you found the GT Air 2?
Champion Helmets hi we have only done around 100 miles so far but I like the weight, the sun visor and especially the peripheral vision, the comms work great too, way better than the Scala Q3 on our old helmets, they were always a waste of time, Scala’s attitude was worse than the product. If I can get the wind noise sorted then it will be a great helmet, mind you, it should be at the price inc the comms.

You can wear the new *GT-Air II* on whatever motorcycle, except the ones that are Off-Road.
The noisiest helmet I have worn, worse with earplugs than my old Shark helmet without them.
@@jeg569 Questions of noise aside, Shoei have definitely done well with the GT Air 2 and even the SRL 2, though that's also slightly controversial. Hopefully, the noise issue can be figured out soon, which will make it an even stronger helmet. Thanks for letting us know how you found the GT Air 2!
