  • Join me as I fold space and time with an airplane as I fly to the gig again... This time Mark and I fly up to the Muskoka region north of Toronto to do a LiDAR scan of a beautiful island. Watch the magic of this amazing new technology as the drone turns physical reality into a scale accurate digital model. Oh, and there is a whole bunch of flying and Skymaster airplane stuff too! Enjoy!

    I fly for fun and adventure and I strive to be the best, safest and most professional pilot that can be at all times but I am far from perfect. I have not been flying for a long time (since April 2015) but I always strive to be better. This channel is part of that process and another piece of the puzzle for me. I fly with as many people as I can and I seek out instructors and mentors whenever possible and I recommend that you do as well. I make sure that everyone I share the cockpit with with fits my style of flying and learning and that they can help me take my adventure higher.
    Producing this TH-cam channel has made me grow as a pilot and for that I am truly thankful. Scouring through all the footage has shown me my strengths and weaknesses and that process has been humbling to say the least. I recommend videoing your own flights, watching them with an open mind and maybe even sharing them. There has been a lot of great feedback and wisdom in the comments on my videos as well. I always appreciate the constructive and almost always positive feedback. Keep it coming!
    Please note that my videos are highly edited and some of the context of these flights is altered in order to keep the story moving. These videos are for entertainment purposes only and should not be considered a replacement for professional instruction by a certified flight instructor.
    Fly safe and have fun!

      At 19:52 you say it's November 20th, so only 3 days before they closed down.

      @@ScottsSynthStuff Yes it was. It was a very sad environment. They gave us some CYKZ branded wheel chocks they had lying around and they are at my hangar.

    I was just watching this video and noticed that the aircraft at Lake Central that you identified as Buccaneers are actually Renegades.

    Very interesting. Is it hard to maintain the SkyMaster if.. they aren't producing them?

      @tomairtv  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Skymasters are not really any more costly than other legacy general aviation aircraft. The biggest issue is that there are TWO engines so that aspect is 2X cost. Parts are readily available for most of the systems and components. The first couple of years were costly as I brought the aircraft back from 20 years of not being used much. Now that I have things under control there is not much maintenance apart from annuals and the odd things here and there.

    At 18:15 there is a Lake with the registration C-GROB. How could that reg not be assigned to a sailplane?!?!

      @@tomairtv shouldn't C-GROB be assigned to you know...an actual Grob? If I owned a Grob, I would have snagged that registration! :)
