Did exactly what you said not to do and it worked almost instantly. Never removed the edges or magnets inside. Simply exposed the edges lubed the magnets then pressed them in a few times to spread the lube down inside. And like magic no more springy clicking noise. I do thank you for helping me to identify the source of the noise though. If you would have had the patience to press the magnets down more than once, and made that sure the lube worked down into the piece, you would have avoided that entire process of taking apart and losing all the intricate little pieces.
@@thespeedcubirbs I thought I would have 3 edge magnets needing attention but tt turned out that the corner-to-core magnet in the foot of my white, orange, or blue was loose and causing all of the clicking noises. In this case, I'm adding super glue in the foot to hold everything in place. My edge magnets were OK.
Hi there. Thanks for your video. Had the same clicking magnets after dropping cube once. Opened up and saw 1 corner magnet slightly dislodged and other corner lost magnet. Magnet was stuck to core. Simply replaced it and reposition other one. Boom. Fixed it. Hope this can be helpful to others.
I dropped my cube once and this happened, thanks so much for the tutorial, I didnt use lube and just use the magnet adjustment piece to take the corner out. The yellow side didnt disloged but I just pulled it off and it was fine. Thanks for the help.
BRO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE MISSING CORNER MAGNET THINGY. I was so scared it broke because i spent half my allowance on it and just got it yesterday. Thank you so much
Thank u my guy 😊 I got an pretty cringie lube from amazon which is really watery i tried it but it didnt really work then i tried it again with more of my cringe lube and it worked really well 😅
I just got a tornado v3 pioneer today and it makes a clicky sound on all sides besides the white face is that becasue i have not broken it in yet or is there something wrong with it?
If the clicky noise still exist, and you have flagship or pioneer then the issue might come from the magnets in the corners being insecure. I tried to swap piece with the corners that ar secured in place (i have 3 different pioneer) it worked, lube it with thick lube like weight 5 also reduce the noise to almost unoticable. Also the ball core flagship and pioneer have the corner core magnets directly contact so you might want to lube the core magnets with weight 1 so it doesnt affect the speed but still reduce the noise. worked for me
PROBLEM SOLVED (For people who didn't want to buy it cuz of clicky magnets) - The third batch has been released, how to tell is if ur screw is not screwable (as in blocked by a transparent plastic with tornado logo, it doesn't have clicky magnets and core to corner strength is stronger
that cube doesnt have springs but it does get annoying. fact is I couldnt find a way to fix it so I used it like that for 3 years and I had nothing break on me
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For those who have the flagship or the pioneer version that still have the clicky issue on your cube, it might be because the corner to core magnets that are in the corner are wobbly. The problem is, I still don't know how to fix it. Update: I gave a lube around the magnets in the corner with a small paint brush. Although I'm pretty sure that the magnets are still wobbly, but the clicky noise is now gone because of the lube. 👍
@@thespeedcubirbs yeah maybe gluing it would work too. But personally I don't like to glue it because I'm afraid it will somehow ruin the cube. I'd like the magnets to just mounted that way without gluing it. 😃
@@thespeedcubirbs Also I don't really know how the magnets in the corner are mounted. I want to try to take the magnets out but I was afraid it would break so I refuse to take it out. I mean if I can take it out maybe I will know how to fix it like, maybe it's just like a screw so we just turn it clockwise to tighten it and it wouldn't be wobbly again but like I said I was afraid to take it out so I just give a lube around it.
@@thespeedcubirbs and actually i didn't hear any clicky noise from the cube again so I don't really care about this anymore. Maybe i will talk about it again if it does the clicky noise again. And sorry for the long comment. 😅

edge magnets
they have either a clicky sound with the magnets rubbing against the plastic
or the corner foot
it might be loose (this is super rare)
does this same method of removing the edge caps also work on the wrm 2021?
technically yes, but you need to be soooo careful. i tried and the caps almost broke. i would advise not to do it…
@@thespeedcubirbs how hard is it to remove compared to the tornado v2 in a scale of 1 to 10?
Does the corner cap removing process break the corner itself? I cannot really tell from the video if it’s indeed broken or not.
no
@@thespeedcubirbs may I try to contact you on Facebook or instagram? I’m in trying to do forced cubes and your video is really helpful.

Does the clicky noise affect the performance of the cube?
nope
just sounds bad
