Thanks, I am so fortunate to get to spend sommu h time with them. Check out some of my other videos of them catching wild pigs and fishing on the Red River.
People complain about not enough info....I am the opposite. You get to the point and then show example or proof of what you describe in quick fashion. I don't have time to hear someone repeat a million different things before showing what they are talking about so I'd rather see an example and if I'm interested then I'll go do some research on prices and availability. You're the man
built one kinda like that 20 years ago but it ran an electronic key fob and air over solenoid to piston cylinder. you can open it from your seat or 50 feet away. if you open it while on plain over moss it just sucked it up and spit out green muck but you won't get stuck. River rocks were a thing of the past.
Have you every thought about putting sponsons on the side of the boat to get a little sharper turns? Like a Jetski? I just was giving my grandpas 14’6” Flat Bottom Jon boat, and am going to power it with a 35 Merc Jet drive.
I don't think a guy could find two cuter fishing buddies! You'll want to appreciate them while you can. Like your jet boat videos those aren't as popular in the north but if there's a river around here you can get in you'd be by yourself when you find a spot.
Just looked them up to purchase because I’ve seen your videos of this ejector. My question is, they now make an ejector for moss and stuff and then also they make the original version?? What’s the difference and which is best for strictly running in a gravel bottom river?
What are your thoughts on using a jet boat for duck hunting? I know you can’t get to all the places a mud motor could, but feel like you could get pretty skinny with a rock ejector and find some. I’m drawn to the jet because it would be more fun year round whereas a mud motor is a one trick pony. Appreciate you sir. Thanks!
I think it all depends where you are trying to hunt. I do believe all around you can make it work. Definitely more fun exploring rivers. Quieter and run shallower in most river situations.
@@DennisBohannan Thanks buddy! Have a blessed 4th of July. If you’re ever around Granbury, I would love to ride along. I’ll pay for gas and bring some cold ones. Thanks again!
My problem is grass clumps clogging the jet in the Lachine rapids Montreal late summer. Depending on wind and storms sometimes no grass and sometimes so much floating grass I can't progress more that one frigging minute without cavitation clogging. It sucks when on a date cause she thinks I have a crappy broken boat given I have to stop and manually remove the grass sometimes mixed with shit and condoms from city sewage. If this modification works for grass clogs it's gold.
NO I don't. I have wanted to try something. I have always leaned toward the wetlander. Not for any specific reason, but I have zero experience with any of it.
I am in Maine and looking for ALL the information I can get about smaller/less expensive fishing / river jet boats. So apply to have found this channel and any forums I should checkout ? Thank You
Are yu able to troll with the jet , can yu maintain slow trolling speed? , never had a jet drive , and do they come with nitro assistance for easy of lifting . Looking at a duck boat with a jet ?
The motor does not kick up but the idea is you don't hit things. But you could always add the kick plate. The issue there is you would not have a very good reverse
@@tdog9150 Mercury. Short shaft and a large pump. Yamaha uses a long shaft and a medium pump. With a jet a short shaft jet needs a 21 to 24 inch transom so a long shaft jet needs around a 27. Too hot to make a 60/4 0 short shaft with a medium pump that I hope to be testing shortly.

How cool, yet to have met him but lots of phone conversation. Hopefully soon.

What a great invention
I don't have that much of a problem with a clogged pump. I just wish my boat would run 30mph. 96' Mercury 30 Jet on a 16ft Grumman.
Speed cost money......... Now how fast do you really want to go.........
Nice video....I’ll have to invest in one, great idea!
Great demo , I know it says rock but any knowledge on how it does with leaves, fall in PA is a pain with jets with all the trees dropping leaves.
I use it mostly for leaves.
I love this dude and yea it suck to clog up my dad has wooed ridge with 600hp

Had this one over a year now.

Never tried it on condoms. Lol
On grass it for sure help. Kill the engine open and close grate as you trim up some. Let it drift away for a short moment and off again.
I like that boat.
Do u have a protective paint on hull. I'm in Texas too an currently goin up river in shallow rocky spots. Looking to add gator glide on it

How does it work for Rock Grass down here in NW Florida in the Gulf?
Where do u buy the rock ejector

How does that motor run in the backwaters when vegetation like hyacinth and stink weed gets thick? Will this clean that out too?
Doesn't like vegetation.
Great idea.
Happy Boating.

On Facebook check Texas outboard jets. Fun page of mine that has southern boys acting out. Lots of knowledge there if you ask.
What brand boat is that?
Blazer. Made in Missouri
Why no life jackets on your little ones you have no control if you hit something at high speed
We take them off while we swim, but under power they have them on. Look at 1:25 they have on pink jackets.
Turbo
Invest in some glasses
Nice boat! What size Engine? 2 Stroke or 4 Stroke? Thanks Robin
4 stroke 60/40 merc
cow boy in a boat..go howdy go...
How much the jet motor cost ?
6500 or so that is ball park.

I prefer in a jet to have power tilt and trim. You can troll, but more likely to suck up debris if you are just in a clean or deep spot.

They are around 7,000 probably with the big tiller.
If you are not going to wear a PFD, then at least hook up your emergency stop switch lanyard. That boat will run over you.
Thanks for your input Karen.

40 at the pump

Lots of Gators. And the reverse is a scoop over the thrust just like a jet ski and it uses the factory shift lever.

11 seconds of video of the mechanicals? Lacking, imo

They have them on when we are running the River. Take them off to swim.
Run a prop way more efficient.
