That was a very nice build. Hopefully I learn some things that will save me some time and most importing a headache. I have a 046 That I got back in 1995 when they first came out. I am going to replace my piston and rings, what every else that I find when I take it down. I stop running while I cutting up some fire wood. Not bad for a saw that old. I had a tree serve but now I am retired, and hopefully that 046 will whole up until I get tired of using a saw.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Those are great saws. The oem parts are a little pricey so that's why most of that build was aftermarket. The guy I built it for uses it non-stop for stumps and such and loves it. Good luck
@@RayofallTrades i am enjoying the videos though , i'm in uk and far from some of you guys on here when it comes to repairing and moding these saws , potring is ot a big thing in uk scene , keep up the good vids though ,
It’s funny how this guy talk about how the other guy messed up building that saw . How about getting a flywheel puller . 10.00 tool ! I hope you didn’t jack up the bearings!

If the seals was bad why change the piston and cylinder
The cylinder was damaged
