Local carpenter here, worked in all of these neighborhoods and although this video is amazing and she is very good it still doesn’t do it justice. Sooooo beautiful here, year round!!!! The houses here are almost unbelievable in those neighborhoods. And Asheville is SURROUNDED by gorgeous properties, views, people, art……
The hills, the views. Imagine LA without the traffic, crime, taxes or earthquakes 😂

It truly is majestic here. I absolutely love it too. I don’t think we are the only ones as well.

Really appreciate all the information you're sharing. So many decisions as we relocate to the area and you're a huge help.

Funny - When I was preparing the Downtown Revitalization Plan back in the Bronze Age, I proposed the River Arts District as an appendage to the core Downtown Revitalization Districts. I wrote a Conceptual Plan for the district and presented it to City Manager Ken Michelove to forward to the City Council. He responded with a blistering condemnation of my " ridiculous delusion." Guess someone in the past forty years stumbled upon the River Arts District Plan and gave it a new life. By the way, a lot of the history of the Downtown Revitalization Program and Belle Chere, as published by the Asheville Citizen Times, has been quite inaccurate.

Wow, that is so incredibly interesting that this district has been around, at least as a proposal, for that long. Thank you so much for your comment and contribution.

There was a reason so many of those buildings that empty in what is now the river arts district. Why would you propose to put something like that in a floodplain?

For families I would add Biltmore Park. It has so many great amenities there!
