@@race.9551 I have been watching for a few years but I felt like this one was longer than usual. I guess I just didn't pay attention last few years. Thanks for the answer!
Max is not THREATENING anybody he is just saying that he dislikes sprintraces. Verstappen likes to prepare well for the big race and he wants to minimize distractions. He also wants to minimize risk of damage. I do understand his objections. If I was Max I would just skip the baby-race on Saturday.. eventually by gearbox-problems after 2 laps. The F1 organization did not ask him if he would take part in a sprint, they ordered it by dictate.
This will never be unanimous, there will be times they (fans, drivers, team members, etc) could say this new format is better but then complain about the development of the car because of less practice sessions, and sometimes they'd complain about the limited chance to score points and fight for the titles.
I believe that this new format detracts from the main race. F1 is something elite and should remain so. By all means cut Friday practice out, but keep the racing pure. I am not a RB fan but believe CH has it right. Maybe for the wrong reasons, but nevertheless, I agree.
I have followed f1 since the mid 80's 1 hour free for all qualifying and a race is still my favourite format just seems like a money making event now personally I would scarp sprint faces 8 points for the win ,max will be crown champ half way through the season ( Lewis fan)
Of course Horner isn't happy. Their cars aren't built for street races because their tires don't heat up fast enough and the front suspension makes turning harder and street races generally have way more turns. Stop whining Horner it was your design choice
that's some technical knowledge you have there LKJ! impressive...with Perez 'king of street' it will be interesting to see who actually gets points this weekend
What do you think about the new sprint race ? Let us know 👇
😎 it doesn’t matter what red bull think … The show is called FORMULA 1 … not red bull .
😎New sprint … I hope it works… I’m looking forward to seeing action but clean close skilled Racing … 😃
Bring on Baku!
I can’t wait! This extended Easter break is not wanted again!
Why has it been so long? You got any idea?
it's just the easter break, gives team's time to rest and work on their cars
we are also super excited for this weekend!

but overall are youa fan of the changes, or prefer old school f1?
@@race.9551 Oh yes I love it, MotoGP and F1 sprint races are amazing...
Any winning team would be against it.

Max could skip the whole “sprint affair” and concentrate on qualifying Friday+race on Sunday.
that would be quite the statement from MV!!
Seems like horner has started complaining because his car doesn't go well on street circuits
only time will tell... with Perez 'king of street' it will be interesting to see who actually gets points this weekend
@@race.9551 True but still the car doesn't suit baku at all. I trust in perez
@@ClutchF1 not long to go now until Saturday

love this! classic F1!
I think the sprint race is only necessary because the same people keep winning. After a while that gets boring.
it definitely challenges teams differently, giving new opportunities
@@race.9551 Just like d r s gives new (fake) opportunities to pass.
