Check out Northfield reservoir. It's a lake on top of a mountain used for hydro power. There are huge water bags on the ground to the side of the drain inlet for extra water storage or something. Amazing panoramic view at the top.
I dont know if youre still exploring New England or where else youve been to but a few places I recommend; Doane's Falls. Theres a beautiful old cemetary near the center of Orange on a side road beside the library. Poet's Seat Tower and Sageman's Head in Greenfield. Just to name a few.

You should try the Old Farm Trail in Northboro, Mass! Easy hike with abandoned vintage cars, trucks and farming equipment along the way!
