    I had the 1980 750 model. Bought it and the 900s shipped 2 months later, I would have bought that, but these were great bikes and the handling was the best on road.! Take care!

    I thought that when Honda went to a duel overhead cam, they were no longer " F's" but " K's" .
    I guess I'm wrong.
    But , MAN, Does that thing got
    1980's written all over it.

    I had 2 of these back in the day.
    The first one I had was the red & white half-faring model. It blew the crank halfway home to Adelaide from Sydney, in the middle of nowhere. I figured it was my fault, as I had been , shall we say, maintaining a high average speed for 8 or 9 hours before it let go.
    So I bought another one like this one. The crank let go on the way to work, in heavy traffic.
    Nice bikes but I wouldn't recommend them...

    I had one about twenty plus years ago .
    Never, never take the carbs off , I remember spending many hours trying to refit them .
    Complete nightmare.

    Did you sell it or do you collect bikes?

    • @GodfferysGarage
      @GodfferysGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The bike has been taken off the market and recently updated with more modern suspension front & back, to be used as a dally rider.
      I do collect some bikes, but have been selling more then buying lately. Next one up for sale is a 84 Kawasaki GPZ750.

      @@GodfferysGarage What will you ask for the 1984 GPZ 750? Any issues? Thanks, nice bikes.

      It's all been gone threw from top to bottom (Refurbished suspension front & rear, brake masters & calipers front & rear, as well as the Carburetors, New Starter clutch, wheel bearings, pads & Tires, just about every nut & bolt replated with a long list of other details) Only thing left is the final tune but I haven't been able to get back to that for nearly a year now, so it has collected some dust since then. Other then that, the stock fuel tank paint is less then perfect. Would likely be starting the price at about $4500.

    I have an electrical question about this bike, could you help?

      Hello Will, Sorry for the very late reply.
      Did you still need help with your electrical issue or have you got it dealt with now?

      @@GodfferysGarage Hello, no I haven't figured it out..... I actually have two questions? In the service manual the ignition system test on the spark units, coils and rectifier when trouble shooting. When performing the transistized ignition system test if the bike gets spark on all of the plugs would this mean all the components are in good working order?
      Second, is the carbs? My bike has been sitting for about 7 yrs. So I removed the carbs and found a sticky float in the #2 carb. All others were fine..... After inspection. Now the bike started before all of this not on all cylinders.... After unsticking the float, I get a no run start at all? Is there something I missed that I should have checked before putting back together?

    • @GodfferysGarage
      @GodfferysGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@William_Green_252 If I'm understanding your first statement correctly, then I would say; Yes. all those components would seem to be in good working order. Regarding your Carb question; There a number of things that could be easily missed when dealing with those carburetors. If your not getting ANY firing now, that would lead me to believe it's not getting any fuel, and that could be as simple as not correctly assembling or connecting the vacuum shutoff diaphragm. This part might be easier to discuss over the phone, so if you would like, you can contact me at 262-210-9269 between 9am & 9pm Tuesday threw Saturday, US central Standard Time.
