Thank you this is the clearest video I’ve come across.
Ive noticed quite often newly delivered corsets(not orchard) are actually laced incorrectly. So if your corset seems crooked or not drawing properly or smoothly try unlacing it,then relacing it. You might find as you unlace it you can detect the spot where its been laced wrong,usually above or below the bunny ears!
I was starting to season my first one and always confused how one bunny ear was longer than the other. Second day I noticed that one side of my corset was tighter than the other. I looked up this video and boom! Their laces were uneven and the beginning X was improperly laced (also why I was having trouble lacing myself in.)
There are lots of ways to lace a corset. Everyone has their favorite style.
But some lacing techniques are better for tight lacing for more control. And some styles are more for decorative lacing that is for light lacing. But choosing a technique that doesn't bring enough control on the waist can cause bowing. Which would kill your corset
Of course if you have a real corset with metal bones, suitable for tight lacing, figure correction and waist training, you should use corset lace, not ribbon. After all, it’s called tight lacing, not tight riboning :) Corset laces are much stronger than ribbon, and will also last longer. Ribbon is more suitable for fake corsets that have plastic bones.
This helped so much! This is my first corset and when I got it I relaced it and became frustrated when I didnt look how I wanted. Decided to relace it today and I almost did X's all the way through and realized definitely not right. My corset looks way less ugly now 😂 cant wait to watch the vide on how to put it on!
this by far the best video on lacing with bunny ears wen slow enough to actually see her making each X have watched a lot of laceing videos after showing you the first X speed camera up no other video have i seen except this one that walks you thru each x if your memory isnt good or you have trouble retaing i recoment this video i took my tablet where i was lacing and went step by step this is the first corset i laced and laced properly wasnt wearing certain corsets because they needed to be laced i tried and tried but would always end up messing up somewear i would start over after starting over many times i would just put the corset up untill i found this video now im able to lace like a pro and can now wear the corsets that needed to be laced

This video is incredibly helpful. It was the first result when I searched how to lace a corset. I'm fairly new to corsetry, but I have EDS and my corset helps enormously with my back pain. When I want a new one, I'll keep you in mind!
That yellow is such a pretty colour too. Not sure about the purple ribbons, but they're easy to see which is the main thing. I've seen videos where it's black on black or white on white, so it's really difficult to see what's going on. The contrast helps.

my corset has 8 holes on each side ..do i lace it the same way? i would only have one X at the bottom of the corset and two at the top
Try to get your bunny ears situated at the waist tape of the corset. Is it one of ours? If so, we could help you more if we knew the style of corset.
Hi, I got my first corset from Amazon. I ordered a 6xl underbust corset and it seems with how much back boobs I have. I don't have enough lace. It's has 9 loops. I'm in serious need of help
Hi Antonia, judging by the size it sounds like you got a cincher or a bustier top that isn't meant for waist training. Corsets are sized in inches at the waistline. Talk with our sizing team! Excellent video. I was really amazed at the idea some people needed you to relace their corsets. This video explains it so well it took me exactly as long as watching and doing it along with you. OK Next couple of times I will probably have your video on hand until I am completely used to doing it but it isnt difficult! (getting myself laced into it is a whole other thing lol!). I think you really need to know how to do this in order to get the best from your corset and also to stop damaging it as putting it on or taking it off.

Do you start lacing up from the top or the bottom of the corset

Should the bunny ears sit at the natural waist where you are slimmest, or does it not matter?
Yes! The bunny ears should be in the middle of the corset where it cinches you in.
@orchardcorset thank you for replying! So my corset that's giving me trouble, my natural waist is the next set of eyelets up from what the middle of the corset is. Is it better to move the ears up one row of eyelets to match my waist, or to stay as is, which matches the lacing done in this video?
@@IsItThough If your natural waist falls right at the set of bunny ears higher I would just go ahead and move the bunny ears up one because that would give you the best cinch and control at your natural waist.
