Thank you so much for this video! I've had corsets for a decade and wondered why they always felt wrong and were impossible to get on and cinch by myself. They all came laced up like shoes with no pull loops! Finally got one on properly placed and giggled when I pulled on the loops and it felt perfect! My next corset will be an Orchard just for this video!

this is amazing!!! after some trial and error i ordered a corset from orchard a month or so ago and it is the first one i got that was the right length for my torso. i didn't understand the pull loops so i untied the laces and laced it at the bottom. i'm re-seasoning it because it was uncomfortable and i didn't feel like wearing it until i found this video and relaced it!!! it is so comfortable!!!!! thank you so much for this video!

when you said if you have an odd amount of gromets you start from the top does this mean the top where your bust is or the top as in the x starts on the outside of the corset

Been seasoning my first corset for a week and although I've been enjoying it didn't felt quite right in the long run. Thanks to this video I found out the corset was laced backwards and the pull loops higher than where they should be, but also thanks to this video I could re-lace it easily and it feels more comfy and natural to wear. My back is happy ❤️

I ordered a corset from a seller on Amazon, it's a bit short, supposed to be an over bust, the lace was too short for my chubby self, so I grabbed some paracord to lace it that way. I have it laced up now but I'm dealing with back bulge which is awkward. I love this video and I think when I drop more weight I will be ordering corsets from here.. This is my first time wearing a corset and when. I had ordered it I came across your site and started reading more into it. I thought it was weird for me to use paracord but I'm glad it's also another way to lace a corset! I'm so happy I found this video! -Tay

If you move your loops up or down a set of grommets you need to start from the top for even grommets and the bottom for odd since you are changing an under X into loops.
But if I move TWO grommets down I'd still start at the bottom for even grommets? I have an extremely compressed torso & short, thus
low waist due to severe scoliosis.

I purchased the black leather corset 2 years ago. Top quality and durable. My corset wasn't purchased for waist training. The hardest part enduring the break in period and resisting the urge to over- tighten. I allowed 3 months for this.

Orchard Corset this style of lacing is bulky underneath clothing. Any other ways to lace for waist training without the bulk? please!

+Alisha Williamson An odd number of grommets would be a little tricky, but not impossible. The concept is the same- you want to have the 'bunny ears' at the waist tape (putting a piece of tape or post-it at the right location before unlacing it helps a ton) and you want the laces to be tied at the bottom of the corset. There are many other lacing styles though out there. We just have a preference for bi-directional lacing. Lucy's Corsetry has some great tutorials on how to relace your corsets in other patterns.

i know people who have corsets with 2 laces, how would you lace it?
DamalSeer Hello! You could do it one of two ways to my knowledge, although I'm sure there are other ways out there! One way would be to take 2 different sets of laces of the same length and follow along with the video, so that you would end up with 2 laces in each grommet; it will be trickier to lace up but if you have different colors it will look amazing. Another (probably easier way) would be to take 1/2 of the length and tie the laces together and then lace it up like normal. For example, if you need 6 yards of laces take 3 yards of one color and 3 yards of another and then make a small knot to meet them together and lace like normal. I hope that helps!

Did anybody else notice that one of the Xs goes the opposite way to the previous ones? From the top they all go left over right, except for the third X, which goes right over left. Was that intentional, is that the way you're supposed to do it? Or does it not really matter?
Hi Luna. It doesn't really matter :) As long as you make sure that the top x's and under x's are in the correct pattern you will be just fine.

Hi there, you want the bunny ears to be as close to the waist tape in your corset as possible. It helps to put a piece of tape at the current bunny ear loops before unlacing your corset to know where to make those. It's the same effect, you'll just place them in a different spot :)

How do you know if you need to move your pull loops up or down on the corset of the waist band is supposed be at your natural waist?
If the waist band doesn't align closely with your natural waist when on. If your natural waist sits above the waist band move the pull loops up; this usually applies to long torsoed, high waisted figures. Then move up if you're short torsoed/low waisted. Hope that made sense! If you have a particularly long or short torso though you are best off getting a custom corset. Though everyone should go custom IMO! Looks & FEELS so much better.
I'm new - the knot at the bottom of my corset gets in the way of me cinching it up. How can I fix this or am I doing something wrong? Thank you.
Hey there! Have you watched our "How to lace yourself into a corset" video? The bunny ears at the back of your corset should be in the middle of your corset and above that knot a bit. I absolutely love the ribbon laces. However, I would be absolutely tickled pink aAND be over the rainbow if you guys could sell rainbow dyed white satin ribbon laces. This is because I believe that they would go absolutely perfect with all 3 of my corsets.
For the cords that are made to be longer after the first 3 x's what are they used for
Hi there! Are you asking about the bunny ears in the middle of the corset? Those are what you use to pull on the laces and to tie the bow at the end :)

How do you tighten the underbust and hips without making the waist tighter? My hip area and underbust are loose
Hi Alicia, it sounds like your corset may not be the best fit for your figure if there is that much gapping or that perhaps it's just so new that time spent in it will improve that. I have a floating modesty panel that i took out and can’t remember how to lace it back in place. I remember it had a weird sort of configuration but that’s it. Im looking through the posts but does any one know if there are any videos on that?

Hi there, i am interested in starting corset training. Which corset would you recommend for me. I have about a 26 waist and a long torso (shaped if not the same, quite similar to you= long torso, long legs (about 5 feet 7 inches tall)- I I want one only for the waist and not over the bust. If you want your corset to be laced in a bi-directional pattern, the process would be the same. There are a number of ways you can choose to lace a corset. Lucy's Corsetry has a great video showing different ways you can choose to lace your corset aside from just this style.

your instruction video is incomplete, as you leave OUT important steps while describing how to do it, i prefer the Bunny Girl method of a different person, and flat rip chord is lot stronger, and last longer.
Everything was fine until the loops. Your hands are in the way. Cant tell what youre even doing.
