I've always been hesitant to replace brake shoes due to the parts and adjustments however this video makes the process undaunting and straight forward. thank you.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Made it easier to knockout the shoe changeout and quick check to confirm the springs are where they should be!!!
Nxt day i was going to cut the pin 😂 my brake stuck to the drum and i took me the whole 4 days looking around for the hole to adjust the brake 😂 your video save me did not see the rubber 😅 really appreciate your time for making this video thanks
I know this video is to do with drums I've got a toyota hilux 2010 and I cannot find a good disc for it I've been using the ferodo disc with ferodo pads and they don't last what would you recommend besides oem ?
was doing great easy to follow, uo untill probably the most imptant bit of how to adjust the brakes. doesnt explain what to look for. says tighten untill cant turn the wheel, then back of the adjuster 3 or 4 turns. how can you tell a full turn when its inside the drum?

Thanks mate, just about to do my hilux brakes ✌️
Mate - great video. Will follow this step by step this weekend when I change mine 👍
Thank you very much for your video. For a beginner like me it was very useful. It’s clear and precise.
Great video thanks, off to deal with my UK Hiace (same drums). Cheers from Yorkshire!
I watched this because I had so much trouble putting the dam hand brake cable back. lol Thanks,
Very informative, thanks daddy
Thanks. Clear and concise.
It’s good practice and wise to replace the springs as the continuous heating and cooling from the brakes affects their tension over time
Great video by the way! Liked and subscribed
Much respect from the uk

16:21 the comedy writes itself
I’m convinced I’ve stuffed something up,
Brakes are good,
Handbrake is now non existent
Are the brake shoes on the right sides?
I know this video is to do with drums I've got a toyota hilux 2010 and I cannot find a good disc for it I've been using the ferodo disc with ferodo pads and they don't last what would you recommend besides oem ?
Try dba they seem to be the best alternative to oem..
So this will apply to the other side also, with handbrake adjustment
Yep exactly the same
@driftcarsjp All good mate done my brake shoes last weekend 👍

Hey hii i was just checking do you give any home service of the cars or where is your mechanic shop located in Australia
No sorry just videos for TH-cam..
@@driftcarsjp i ve got some leakage through the turbo pipes what do you think it could be ?
@@sawanmehla9978 most likely the gasket on the turbo oil feed is leaking. What pipe has oil on it?
What I’d I don’t have the 12mm bolt
You can tap lightly with a hammer to break the rust holding it on.
I thought we were going to check the drum for wear?
👍

Once the drum is locked up back off adjuster till the drum starts to turn with out drag.
