Instagram NOLADEEJ This park may be made for kids to enjoy, but adults can certainly have fun here too. Have you been to Storyland or something like it?
I liked the old metal Dragon slide, it was pretty fast! But I can see it being a liability and kids dont take a tumble like they used to. The new parts look pretty cool. My daughter and I were there a few weeks ago and it was still under construction. We'll have to check it out this spring.
Scared me for a moment I thought you said storyville was restored. Now you have me listening to Jefferson Airplane on a Wednesday morning. Forget the kids I'd take myself there. I'm not right.😆
I remember going there when it first opened, possibility opening weekend; likely on Sunday after church. That would have been 1956 - I would have been 5. It was a kid's dream. Lots of bright colors, you could climb on the attractions (most of them, anyway). Watched it deteriorate over the years. Glad to see it come back. And in an unusual turn of events, I even like most of the improvements they've made.
jody vicknair yep yep. I meant the new section. I have pictures of my dad visiting the old section when he was a kid in the 50’s. I’m excited that they built the new section and improved upon the old section for new generations. ❤️
Was Peter Rabbit there?I have a a picture with Peter Rabbit and my son in the early 90s and then went back about 5 years ago and have a picture with my younger daughter and son with Peter Rabbit.

It's so much fun!
Bel endroit pour tous les petits new-orléanais, beaucoup de verdure et de fraîcheur, au cœur d’un parc arboré d’arbres gigantesques!🌳
It’s a very beautiful place!
That was such a cool Park, I love watching your videos exploring New Orleans. They give me ideas on what to do next time I visit.

Hahaha yeah, little camera gremlin. Lol
We used to have something like this back home...but they demolished it YEARS ago.
Aw that's a shame! Every city should have something like this :)

I remember Storyland in the 1970’s and 1980’s and it was poorly maintained.
Geez...y'all quit buying sunglasses at gas stations. Best deal on sunglasses is in the fishing section of Walmarts. Not joking.
Lol!
