Today we are going to the Goodwill Outlet Bins where everything is priced by pound!! The bins can be crazy and chaotic, but @CarrieDayton and I were let in 30 minutes EARLY to be able to show more of what the bins actually look like! Honestly this was 100% my BEST goodwill bins thrift trip!!

Exactly what I was thinking
The white crochet dress - things that are all white and stained like that are usually really easy to restore. A good long, overnight soak in a bucket of oxy clean powder and warm water usually works! And if some stains remain you can repeat with another soak, and then add some regular bleach when you machine wash. It'll probably be sparkling white after all that. 👍🏻
Many people also use something called Retro Clean to make a solution to soak stained items in; works pretty well, apparently.

My favorite bins experience was chatting to my niece about how much I love denim jackets and this lady tapped me on the shoulder and gave me two Levi's denim jackets from her cart. SO NICE.
To me thrifting seems like a nice community activity. When I go I take pictures of the fun and weird stuff and send it to my friend group chat
I ASPIRE to shop as responsibly as you because the amount of times you said “I wasn’t absolutely in love with it” to things I’d get just because I MIGHT enjoy wearing them 😂 but seriously, amazing video ❤❤
I am definitely a "meh good enough" shopper for some things. I also have a hard time throwing some things out because it still fits, or I think I'll just downgrade it to a pajama shirt. Like I have a plain brown t shirt that I have worn once but when I got through my clothes I still go "welllll maybe" and keep it
Alexa,you made me laugh. The tomato sauce t shirt reminded me of my daughter when she was 6 or 7. She was invited by her friend to go to her 'princess and pirates' birthday party'. Emilia didn't want to be either a princess or a pirate. Instead, she went as her favourite condiment...a bottle of tomato sauce. 🍅 She has just attended her prom and ( thank goodness) looked more like a princess than a sauce. That said, you look like a princess in your tee.❤
I’ve never been to the goodwill bins but they look like so much fun! The closest I’ve gotten to that are yard sales with piles of clothes for cheap.

Longer videos are like a bonus gift to us! I am soooo happy you didn’t let that ketchup shirt get away! You styled it perfectly too 🥰 And whenever a Tshirt neckline bugs you, it won’t feel so tight but will be super cute if you just cut all the way around the neckline right under where the collar strip attaches to the body of the shirt. That collar strip isn’t needed!
Can’t wait to see this and Carrie’s too! I love checking out the Goodwill bins in person, but they are not for the faint of heart, haha 🙂!

Le coq sportif is a french sportswear brand. It was huge in the sixties, seventies and eighties. Then it went in decline from the 90s. Ten years ago they reopened a factory in France and do real made in france sportswear again. Their products are great quality, and the one you found definitely was a vintage one ! ☺🐓

Le Coq Sportif is kind of like a sportier less preppy Lacoste. I think their high point was the 1980s-1990s. The full name basically translates to The Sport Rooster. Never thought about how it sounded like a pun in English, lol.
It was really popular in Italy in the '00!
Oh also for anyone who doesn’t know, the rooster is like the bird that represents France, kind of like the eagle in the States.

I thrifted that exact suede jacket a few years ago but in red! The striped Cherokee is an older Walmart brand. The Lands End sweater is probably all cotton. They tend to produce most cardigans in cotton so a cool summer nite may be perfect for it. So happy for you finding fave jeans! Love the Heinz shirt the most, it looks great on you. I think I would look cute with those black shorts.

Le coq sportif is quite a famous brand in France! It’s mostly sportswear and made in France so high quality (the rooster is the emblem for almost all the french sports teams)

But when I see something I like and its too big for me, I grab it anyway. Last night I took a black sweater apart (cut off both sleeves), resized the body part by cutting off excess material, sewed the body, put the sleeves back on (and cutting a bit of the sleeve material off up at the shoulder)... Now it fits! Plus its fun + very relaxing too. I am sewing by hand so its not like I am some expert or anything. But its great for anxiety and its sort of like a puzzle in some ways as you have to figure out how to do this stuff. Material from the thrift is a cheap way to practice sewing + learning how to make clothes (or at least how they go together). 😊

Ah late to the game to watch this video but when you pulled out that cozy inn burgers t shirt from my hometown my jaw dropped. I think it’s so wild how a shirt from KS can end up halfway across the country. One of the many reasons why I love thrift stores, there’s such history and many stories behind each piece and who knows who owned the pieces before and where they lived
