You mentioned something very uniquely funny. You spoke of the energy of his music, well that was our generation. You have to understand that our generation live outside. To keep a kid of our generation inside felt like the crime of the century; especially in the summer time. It was literally our most feared punishment at the time.😢😭😩 We only had about 5-6 channels on TV and VG's/PC's were new to us. And the Internet!!!😂🤣 A child's life was stickball, hopscotch and skelly. Baseball, football, double-dutch and bike-riding. It was just as physical for girls as it was for boys. And dancing was like crazy🤪important. In fact, nearly every year a new dance came out and it was a big deal for everyone to learn it. We were quite simply "outside people" and the idea of a rainy day just pissed everyone off!!!🤯😤🤬
Perfect analogy of 70s 80s 90s kids and teens. MTV BET and Nickelodeon and Saturday morning shows were the only things that kept us inside. We had video games but werent allowed to be on them 24/7. We got kicked out lol
Hearing the song in passing and sitting down to watch U CANT TOUCH THIS are two different things. This track inevitably gets a positive first time teaction
Not a great rapper but an awesome entertainer... Some of the same rappers who dissed Hammer for being a ' sellout ' because he was in commercials, movies and had his own cartoon are doing the same things now
Its sad he ended up broke and destitute in the end. He was one hell of an entertainer. His stuff was being played in clubs all over the world at one point!!!
Actually Mc Ham:er got into trouble with this song he sampled a Rick James song super freak without his permission he landed up having to pay millions in royalties to Rick James because of it in an out of court settlement
I'm a little late to the conversation on bands being more lively but, being that I was around for the start of MTV and watching you young people react to these videos It seems to me that during this period the artist no longer could or even wanted to put out excellent music but, felt like they had to or wanted to entertain through videos because if you had a good video you could have instant fame. Before MTV people would have their music on and watch T.V. the stoners would watch for the lips matching with the song But MTV changed all that.
Hi JT, I just recently discovered your channel yesterday through your reaction to Thin Lizzy's Still In Love With You and I went to watch a couple of more vids and I just wanted to say that I love your vids and I just wanted to ask if you can check out/do a reaction to the live version of Still In Love With You from 1975?

Ugh, I HATED it when we had to have recess inside because it was raining!
@@Counterpoint1951 Ohhh!!! The agony! That brought back about 40yrs in half a sec.😰 ...🤭
🗣U HIT IT RT ON THE HEAD👊🏾💃🏾
No foul on rainy days either... I’d literally be outside playing in “gully washers.”
This song hit so hard , from 8 to 80 !!! My own grandmother was shaking her THANG!!!
I got to see him in concert! Imagine a full stadium & no one was sitting! Amazing! Bless you! Shawn
🎼🎃💙🦋🐾🐈
I've always tried to imitate the Hammer double spin. It's like an amoeba trying to emulate Fred Astaire.
Dude could definitely dance. :)
Now just for a minute let’s all do the bump.
I love it so much you are doing this. Thank you.

Speaking to 90s music, you should react to C-Block -- So Strung Out
old school hip hop equal better than old school metal... for sure. Nice react
Actually Mc Ham:er got into trouble with this song he sampled a Rick James song super freak without his permission he landed up having to pay millions in royalties to Rick James because of it in an out of court settlement
