- I finally got my Misa Tri-Bass! I've been waiting for this thing sinds Januari!
Here is a video of the first session of me trying out some sounds and functionality's. It's not music yet, but with some more work it's gonna be something special!
Everything in this video except for the beat si controlled by the Tri-Bass. This is a great product, check out www.misadigital... for more information.
I'm not a fan of this kind of music at all but the way that this instrument is set up to perform its tasks is absolutely excellent.
Literally the most badass thing I've ever seen.
Moral controversy for an instrument ... guys seriously ... im guitarrist and i think this is awesome and funny, if you re creative you can do lots of sounds and ideas on it ,i don't get why the people gets mad with this kind of stuff
Different Human Interfaces is cool as hell. I like this idea. I like it for the on stage look that you can just do more than spin samples and sounds behind a desk or table but be out in front.
Noo! Don't put "Dubstep Guitar" in the title D: You'll attract guitarists!
Well fuck you were right
Misa tri-bass Underated tech -- I hope Misa surfaces again with an upgraded version of this instrument
Its like a launch pad with strings.
Basically yeah it is kinda cool
i know im late but oh this is so much better than a launchpad. you arent just layering sounds on top of each other, you are actually making the sounds and I HAD NO IDEA THIS HAS BEEN OUT FOR SO LONG
Been playing both guitar and bass for well over 15 years and this thing is fucking balls to the wall awesomeness!!! The new updated version is 😵😵😵 also love the vid 🤙
That is really cool man. Do you make the drum tracks separately?
For all those synth haters, it still takes skill to make the synth and come up with a melody. I'm tired of see all these stuck up people just complaining that synth takes no skill even though they haven't even tried it. Yes, us EDM producers do actually keep in touch with the classics mainly the piano. When I make a song I actually use a classic piano to make the melody and then change it. It is super annoying how everyone is trying to be better than someone else, why can't we all just enjoy the music or maybe even put the classics and EDM together like Lindsay Sterlin. Haven't you seen how beautiful those songs are. What if we join and create the best song together than separately complaining about each other's.
And yea, duh it isn't a guitar. It's a midi player designed to have similar ergonomics and playstyle to a guitar. I don't see why people are so butthurt by this...
I dont think the same, exactly. You're partly true, but the same ergonomics lets you be more creative, so, it can be not just hitting a lauch pad with preset sounds. Guitarist now what I mean....Check this guy: th-cam.com/video/vJEwe7p0ct4/w-d-xo.html
Chad Calvert shut it saying people have no talent is stupid tell us where your talent is
As someone who plays electronic and acoustic guitar there is no point to compare that to any of those instruments because this is not that. This is a TRI-Bass MIDI controller and I think it is pretty damn cool, I wouldn't mind messing with it.
jedarodr jedarodr yeah looks like it has potential as a controller.
As a guitarist, I don't see how this requires less skill than guitar...
Exactly. I don't understand why people keep saying that people who play that instrument has no talent. XD Like really; I play the guitar, and I think this is so awesome, and require talent & skill
+Chad Calvert i bet you only know wonderwall
The ceiling is lower seems. IE: No artificial harmonics, no tapping. etc.
@@GALAX137X 😆 Dont be rude.
True, but it looks and sounds sick so don't pay attention to skill
PLEASE make more videos!!! And Misa** HOOK this guy UP!! He just flat out sold me a Misa Tri Bass in LESS than 2 minutes!!
Hey Man! It's the Carbon Oscillator in Massive. I think I started working on the patch from a "Skrillex Style Growl" tutorial or something. Anyway, the x axis of channel 3 is controlling the Growl :). Hope I helped you!
Yann, ik zou u heel graag is terug zien. Glad to see you are still, KILLIN'
Can you explain how you set-up the screen to control the different patches/samples? Which DAW did you use? Did you assign the screen sections in the DAW or on the Tri-Bass? I would love to know how to set this up on my own for experimenting. Thanks !
It's not supposed to be a guitar or it's replacement. It's a synth interface for people who are more familiar with the guitar setup than the keyboard. There are plenty of interfaces out there, each with different ways to access different sounds using different techniques. Until we create the ultimate synth interface, people will continue to experiment with instruments that already work. I think this thing is awesome and wouldn't mind playing around with one for a few hours
how can u control the pattern? is it built in with a pedal or something?cuz from what i can see there that the stokes(?) pattern just shifted it self without you doing anything?
x and y touch pad if he drags his finger on a pressed note it modulates or activates the effect .. its all custom so if i wanted channel 1 to play bass and when i drag my finger or press it if different areas within the box screen it will activate a effect of my choosing i set before hand ... this video he used the big square bass wobble withing the pad to modulate the lfo so it could wobbled and blah blah ... there is no pattern beside the drum loop in the back he is literally controlling 4 instruments at once which is hard to tell because how relaxed his fret hand is but the touch screen you clearly see the magic
Awesome!!.I really really like it! Please, do more music like that!
Cool! Do you mind sharing which Massive presets you are using per channel?
You're doing exactly what I set out to do with gear sounds in 2018 but much better. I'm taking notes!
This is so raw I fucking love it
Looks like u have a lot of fun with that thing
Looks like you're having fun with that! Very cool sounding instrument, great job with that man.
pretty cool. reminds me of the synthaxe midi from back in the 80's I believe?
Juan Chavez I love the demo video that's floating around on here. That thing looks so cool.
is the drum machine seperate or part of the whole thing thing ?
Not heard much bass. It sound just like the guitar?
Where did you order your midi guitar from? I am trying to find the best retailer. I don't want to be gipped. Haha
that is the coolest thing i'v ever seen.
Awesome and amazing
What were you using for the sounds? I usually use instruments with onboard sounds, so this is new to me. Would you mind explaining a little bit? Thanks !
Can I reprogram my Control surface on my 6 string kitara to have the segmented surface controls that the 3 string tri- bass kitara has?
what you mean dis ain't music?! this is Bucking Awesome dude!
i agree
So cool to see one of these in action - thanks! Patiently waiting to hear feedback from a group of users, but so tempted to just jump in and order one. :)
Hi what is the second sound that chord thing it is awesome can You make a tutorial with that sound Please ?THX
You should be proud of the nice moves
Did you play with plugins or did you plug this thing into a synth?
Hey bro can i do the same on misa digital guitar ?? thanks for answer
Please don't hate this thing is epic and Will Be seen often more in the future
awesome video man, i cant wait to get my hands on this.
did you order this straight from the misa website?
Looks like this guy is having a good time with this guitar.
Kitara isn't a guitar, despite having a similar shape. You have the instrument, yet mislabeled it?
Iro Eerie I think they should be find other shape that doesn't look like a guitar
+nicko yanuar I would like to see this in a compact keyboard form-- but then I can see how the guitar form might make it easier for some to play it
That thing is sooo freakin cool. Nice work :D
I can’t even!! soo cool!
I desperately want to see if this can pull off a gritty grinding sound sort of Djent ,or a sort of Pawn shop fender bass 6 on distortion kind of sound. Any one heard it go full crunchy metal or how well it handles those kid of effects?
where can i buy this guitar
Woooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaw yann this is insaaaane !!!!!
rock on man. this is awesome
this is awesone !!
Very well done!
This is just FUCKING AWESOME
I don't have anything against this guitar but can you play and actual song on it? A real song like 'Stranger on the Shore' or 'Last Date' or 'Red River Rock'...
Terry in Alexis, NC, USA
implying this isn't a song
I'm not saying what you are playing isn't a song. I'm asking if you can play a 'mainstream' song on your guitar.
Filip Kaja To be honest, for it to be a song there has to be singing. So technically this is not a song.
Thank you for that info...
You are amazing!!! I like this :-)
fucking awesome bass MISA wow
that face at 1:34
Alex Chapman LMAO
Thats the 'im hanging for a shit and need to wind this up' face
damn this is actually pretty dope
Loved your
awesome vid
This is not a guitar
This is an another amazing instrument
This thing is the future and need a lot of talent
Not really, Its pretty much a sampler with a pitch wheel...
Emperor of Cartoons Anything can function as a midi controller. Just a midi with a pitch bend.
Thank you for rectifying that.
***** Well a lute developing into an acoustic is one thing but an electric turning into a guitar hero remote is another. It's not a guitar the only thing they have in common is the shape and that doesn't make i a guitar. And a lute isn't a guitar either it's something different that the guitar derived from and it has to have strings to be a guitar. So I assume that your talking out your a*se either that or you're just trolling (hope it's the latter for the hope for intelligent life being on earth). Also so you don't get confused in the future here's a wikipedia page for you to read en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guitar
And now we have come full circle - a DJ claiming that playing an instrument is easier than DJing
Are you using onboard sounds or are you using it as a controller on this one?
Nice, I'm digging it!
.Must be really good vibe.Took that long to learn? good drums!
It's a dope...🤤🤤 amazing guitar ❤🥰❤
Wouldn't this be like 100 times better if the "fretboard" part was just a midi keyboard? You know, like a keytar but with a kaoss pad attached next to it.
0:27 you keep your finger in the same "fret" but the chord changes. I don't understand
That pad I'm hitting with my right hand, it's virtually split into 2. One side gives me a sus4 chord, the other a minor. Watch carefully!
Yann Vanhalewyn Hi Yann -- Fellow tri-bass music-maker, here. How, exactly did you "split" that pad? I've been scratching my head over this, all day...
Jack Dunham Hey Jack! There are lots of ways to doing this. The best one is to make an effects rack, with as many instances of the MIDI Chord effect as you want (for example). Then use the chain selector for switching between those instances. Last step is to map whatever pad you want to the chain, and set the range from 0 to "nr of chains - 1"! (So split into 4 would be ranging from 0 to 3)
Yann Vanhalewyn Brilliant! Audio Effects Rack + Chain Selector works like a charm. Since I wanted to switch between different variations of a drum clip, I made several audio tracks, grouped them, and put each variation in a separate track, same scene (row). Each track then got an empty multi-fx rack, w/ one chain, and adjusted the chain-ranges so they don't overlap (like you said).
Last thing was to map the chain selector to a macro-knob in each multi-fx rack, map a continuous controller (CC16, channel 4, in this case) to each of those macro knobs, and then map a key on the tri bass to the *group* scene selector.
Anyway -- this is a long way of saying -- thanks!
Jack Dunham Welcome dude!
Dude fucking sick cant wait til I get mine
this is awesome! !
Commerciale that awesome instrument
Amazing!
that is so fuckin dope- holy shit i'd play a racing game to this
where to buy?
Nice work! How'd you set up channel 3?
That's some insane shit man! Gotta get me one of those!
But does it djent?
This could be the renaissance of the guitar-douce at parties! 0o except he won't be a douce this time around.. and he'll get to move his timeslot away from the after party!
This is seriously cool though. Did it take long to learn?
Damn, i need one of them
Really cool man :D Like it a lot
Very cool!
Can i buy one
My 1992 school folder came alive.
*LEGENDARY :')*
Awesome!!!
Pretty cool
Very nice
I want one 🔥
What is this sorcery ?
Amazing
I love MIDI .. sweet video. Helps me with my MIDI paper, I'm writing..
THE NAME
TELL ME THE NAME
i want one...... where can i get me one of those toys????
Well well well, looks like a nice guitar, i think. XD But it sounds nice so i wont judge. ;) Hope to hear more wobbles =D
awesome!!
All laughing but when Muse uses a Tri-bass to play only 'mmmmmm m m m' (madness) then nobody says a thing.
Hah, that's why I'm looking up videos of these "guitars". Muse pulled it off rather well, however, I haven't been impressed hearing anyone else play them! Muse is one of the only "electronic rock" bands that I enjoy, so that might have something to do with it too!
Asphalt 8 soundtrack?
now everybody can play guitar with simple touch...hoorayyyy!!!
this would be great in 2023
soo cool
Japanese thing?
Ips or amoled display
i want this!!!
