That would be Shin Mazinger Zero vs Ankouku Daishogun, a sequel to the unrelated Shin Mazinger Zero manga started at the same time as the anime. the manga serves more as a continuation (and a really depressing one at that) of the original series. the sort of thing i was hoping for was the continuation of the format with a remake/reimagine of the Great Mazinger series in the same style as the Shin Anime was.
