I think this one is pretty attractive, and definitely in line with the Spyderco mantra of utility and ergonomics. I can’t wait to see this in other steels and scales
The knife isn't more expensive, your dollar is just worth less. Inflation is about 2% per year, so what cost $125 ten years ago, will cost $152 today. It sucks but it's economics. Spyderco tends to produce models with long life cycles, so you notice their price increases more than with a company that changes their entire lineup every couple of years.
I’ve got one coming along with micarta and hardware the whole setup! Lol so attracted to that shape, the para 2 is ok but the tanto looks better than the standard and the wharnie looks best to me, with a full modded setup it’ll be rad
I think if one wants a spyderco Wharncliffe on compression lock one should look at Yojimbo 2 first. Nothing against PM2 but Youjimbo has given more design consideration to making that wharncliffe work.
Kinda have a bias. The PM2 is my favorite Spyderco. And the Wharncliffe is my favorite EDC blade shape...for material less coarse than heavy cardboard. Draw cuts are my most frequent cut. Heavy cardboard and up, I prefer more belly for push cuts. Having said that, the tanto M4 PM2 is kinda the best of both worlds.
Some wharncliffe designs can be really cool, although I must say in this case the regular PM2 is a better looking blade imo. The tanto was nice, still would like to see those become more readily available. Thanks for the good content & enjoy your day MC. 👍
I was the same.....i just got a PM2 digi camo with the dlc coated blade. Its just amazing in hand. Just quality. A must for any knife collector. I recommend the Manix 2 as well. The lightweight s110v is what i got.
I just overpaid for an orange/silver blade one of these on ebay. It’s a true sickness. If spyderco releases this one again for cheaper, im gonna be pissed.
Would you mind doing a KME review? I use the same and I am still far from where I want to be. It would be a great way for us all who have that system to share techniques in the comments too. Just an idea.
Wharncliffe shaped blades are super easy to shorten for those willing to modify their knives. I'd probably consider shortening a wharnie para 3 (if one of those ever did come out) to meet a 2.5" restriction at work. Super utilitarian :)
Alot of people used to remove backspacers on high end knives or prefer it without. The trend of now buying them is wild to me. Especially since they are overpriced. Without it debris falls through rather than getting caught. I work in a metal fabrication shop and having a backspacer catches a suprising amount of metal chips ect. I tried a backspacer I 3d printed and ended up removing it when I saw how much debris it caught.
Different things are important to different people. Personally, I appreciate a good blade to handle ratio. Pocket knives spend most of their time closed, in a pocket. I'd rather have the largest possible cutting edge taking up the least amount of space in my pocket.
Remember Mad Magazine, and the Spy vs Spy section? That looks like one of the spies.
😂💯

"Sorry, you're not going to be able to unsee it now!"
Classic MC!
Oh my gosh I cant wait for this 50k giveaway. love the pm2.
I just cant wait to see him hit 50k he deserves it
@@braydinq so true. He puts out more quality content than any other channel I know of.

Really like all the PM2's. I am waiting for the Cruwear / brown Micarta version to come out this year..
Cuttlery Shoppe has PM2 Wharncliffes in Orange scales and CTS-XHP for the blade material. It's knice

CKshouta You are DEAD RIGHT ! I just bought Yojunbo 2 ! Getting used to the compression lock.
The Yojimbo is way to thick behind the edge.,…not in same league as PM2
Looks way more practical

I just ordered the Yojumbo. That will be my first Spyderco. I see enough of the PM2 all over TH-cam that I feel like I already own it 🤣

The eBay prices weren't as crazy as I thought they'd be, but for now I'll hold out for a second run. Or hope I'm lucky enough to win this one.
Dude hell ya for as exclusive as it is I snagged one for about cost on eBay second hand
Loving those Spyderco's dude!
Goood things. 👍
If they do a Para 3 in the Warncliffe blade shape, I'm in.
Me as well

I just found out these existed , impossible to find now
The only thing the PM2 needs is a backspacer. I put a flytanium backspacer on all my PM2s. Would be nice it they were standard. 🤷🏻♂️

I think I actually really like the look of this knife. I'm not totally sure. But I think.
Its like the silhouette of one of those creepy Plague masks..kinda spooky 👻
More in stock today!
Well another one i gotta get
Battle with the Canis?
There are tons of them in stock as of today 9/4/22….
Who the heck decided handle to blade ratio was important? I personally don't care.
Knife hipsters on Instagram and the knife nuts podcast

All I see is the cartoon bird “Beaky Buzzard” when I look at the wharny PM2...😂
Looks like the guy in assassins creed u get the potions and bombs from
I knight that PM2,
Sir Wharncliffe.
Give me a hap40 para3 lightweight with the wharncliffe and I can die happy
It's almost as if the blade was put on backwards. lol
Good review!
If not the Plague Doctor it could be Spy-vs-Spy from Mad Magazine!
The pm2 wharncliffe looks like a plaque doctor mask
Yeth
First
Hinderer has ruined me
I’m selling all my spydercos and Benchmades
I hope I don’t regret it
Bench made is anti gun and anti republic….boycott them…they are crap
