All I can say is: great job Leo and Kate. Amazing as usual. ;-) I just saw the movie and I was so immersed in it that I actually feel depressed right now... Lol, that's how good the acting was. :-)
Book is even better. One thing though......Frank Wheeler is a classic narcissist and this fact is significantly downplayed in the movie. April married a manipulative, solely self centered, man and she didn't stand a chance. Frank got to play "victim" for the rest of his life. Great book and film even though the filmakers tried to make April the self centered one. Boo to filmakers for that massive change.
It was evident that April was victim to his excuse making, blame shifting, and gaslighting, even in the movie. Anyone who says otherwise is either a man, or a woman who has yet to be in her shoes. I had the unfortunate displeasure of experiencing this alongside my mother with her ex bf. Like you said, we never stood a chance.

Only one scene is very rediculous and very irritatable that is abortion especially herself even I am shock .Is is possible for women to do that and know and how cruel woman it will be and how dare to think to abort her child by oneself.

This movie is possibly the best depiction of emptiness , grief and anger. All combined so intricately in a relationship.
We need a movie with them together where they live happily ever after

Yeah, the score can get pretty Goddamned intense.
The music pushed me over the edge into tears. So moving. Devastating.
I recommend you to also read the book, then you'll notice the movie is made way better than it seems!

I didn't read the book but from watching the movie I could tell he was a Narcissist and she seem to suffer from bpd.
