I have the 18-135 but I love the constant f4.
Hey bro.. I am really confused between 18-105 and 18-135. My usage is like 70% video and 30% photos. I really hate swapping lenses in the middle of the street. Which lens do you recommend between these two?
@@The3dsGeek with the usage you described I'd go with the 18-105. Mainly for the constant f4 and the power zoom. You wont regret it.

Tu had the same problem...his solution was to throw the footage away. 😝My solution is turn it into a vintage film 🤣

Tennis Files absolutely! At this price, it’s hard to ignore. This lens is much heavier than then the kit lens though.

@@Tennisfiles Depends on your style. I got the kit lens because it was so darn cheap and the image quality is excellent...and super light. But because of the style that I shoot, the 2 lens that I keep on me are always the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 & Sony 35mm f/1.8. I do take the kit lens out when it's purely a vlog because it's so light.

The question is..... Can you use this on the Crane M2? Have you tried it? This is what's holding me back from buying the lens. You're the perfect person to ask. ;)

@@ThisVSThat it's not that much heavier than the Sigma 16mm. Just a few grams more... Hmmm.... I might just keep using the 16-50 kit lens and maybe get a couple of SLR Magic CINE lenses. They'll definitely work with the M2. I also have the Sony 35mm f1.8 OSS, which works great with the gimbal... Anyway... Thanks!!

Hahahaha. No bees in TX right? Btw, I saw a movie this week ("Leave No Trace" - good one!) and learned from it that bees don't generally stink people, bc they know when they do, they die. As long as we don't provoke them. You're safe! :) So don't panic if one is upon you! Especially if you're back by the pond! :P

I am newbie and haven't gone into video yet but want to get a second lens (apart from the kit) that is also good for video. Your review definitely helps, thanks a lot.

Tennis Files it’s really hard to pick between the a6400 vs a6500. If you are going to buy sigma lens in the future then the a6500 is the way to go because they do not have IS in the lenses. But if you are sticking with Sony lenses then a6400 with the screen flip up and nice

a6500 it is a crop sensor.
So as for you is it the best video lens for aps-c for that lower price compared to other G-lenses?
For me I would only spend more money for lower f-stop.

@@lost_places_global9008 I can't really compare this lens to the 16mm Sigma, it has a different purpose for me in video. Last night I use the sigma 16mm because of the f/1.4, I don't think i wouldn't pull out the 18-105mm because of the f/4. So it's very situational. If i was at the Sate Fair during the day and dont want lug around lens I would just take the 18-105. Because i know it will be brightly lit, the 18-105 will win because I don't have to worry about the f-stop and I get that massive zoom of people on the rides. I hope that helps.

Yes, it will fit but remember it will be a crop because this is a APSC Lens.
Man I’d be pissed off if I was you! That beautiful backyard area with a great little pond for wildlife and some douche bag throws trash in it. No wonder our oceans are full of plastic and dying. Humans deserve the shit storm that’s coming from climate change. As far as the lens goes how do you find the still image quality?
