Yup, props are one of the greatest stepping stones to find job and get core skills. Every environment needs props, almost every character also=)

I recently discovered this channel and I have been binge watching ever since. Marc Brunet has always been the artist I look up to and learn from, but after watching your videos I really appreciate how short to the point you are not only with information, but with examples as well. Thank you so much for providing for the art community!

    Hello!
I would like to know where can I start to learn more on perspective and exercises to develop a better spatial awareness.

I was looking at some info because i do not want to be a character designer but it seems hard to find courses on assets/props.
Does anyone know where i could learn that? It always been my dream to work as a 3D artist but you know, life issues/choices etc. Made that i couldn't.
i'm almost 40 (maybe too late to start) but i want to be happy.

It is not to late to start art, it never is, and it never will be, what they want is can you help them solve the problem they have. That is really it, in all professions and all jobs.Ok, now to give you resources, Artstation has several classes for free that focus on prop design, that are for 3d modeling. There is Scott Robertson's book " How to draw", that book show you how to draw props and vehicles from imagination, a good skill to have when whipping out ideas fast. But with all of that, you need the foundation skills, there is the book, "art fundamentals" by 3d publishing.
Doing 3d modelling is a great career because it is not yet saturated, like your regular concept art job. And not many are doing it according to Trent Kaniuga, a veteran who has more than 10 years doing concept art. He says that the work done as 3d modeling is considered valuable, and that for 1 concept artist, there will be a need of 10 3d modelers. He also says it is an easy skill to pick up. I will include the link to the video where he talks about this in deep detail, it is the first job he mentions in the video.

Hope this gets you started and in the right path.
