Man i've been watching these videos for well over a year now and they're still the videos i'm most excited to click on when i see them pop up on my feed. I don't really know why, i'm not massively interested in cars and i probably won't ever restore a toy car (i had a tonne of matchbox cars as a kid, probably quite alot that i would like to restore, but i don't have any of the tools and such) and yet i really enjoy these videos. So thank you for making these, keep up the good work!!

Ive looked at a number of Merryweather Marquis trucks this model is based on. Seems to me the bell and klaxon on the cab could also be customised in silver or chrome. Seeing as how you elected to use spectraflame, adding the rest of the elements wouldnt seem weird or over done. For instance because it has no glass, putting silver in the window surrounds to mimic the stainless steel window frames would work too.
I would reccomend using a toothpick or other fine instrument to get the chrome/silver in the tight areas to avoid screwing up your paint job.
Probably something I would do just on principle...but I dont have one...lol
It is on point and really makes this model stand out. Seeing Marty do this model and your take on it as well....I am enthused! Thanks for doing what you do.

Interesting subject to do. I would not use spectraflame unless the subsurface was up to the task. This particular surface just wasn't capable of showing off your transparent spectraflame. A traditional fire engine red would have hidden those defects so much better. Good job though. I enjoy watching you work. Thanks

I'm really glad you went spectra on this one, it looks great! You mentioning this model having no windshield made me think of how I would like to try and add a windshield (maybe with the heat gun and protecto method) and maybe even an interior harvested from a newer model. Have you tried this yet? This casting seems like a good model to test on since it has a large open cavity once the base is removed. Well if you do one I would dig seeing your process and most of all the outcome. I can see those realistic windows and aged seats now lol. I know I have said this before but man I still really enjoy and have learned a great deal from your vids and can't wait for the next one.

My thought...why don't you just sand and lightly polish the ladder ? And, why did you put glue on visible surfaces to hold it in place ? You could easily place the ladder tabs into their slots and dab glue from underneath, inside the body ?
Also with the grill, washing black into the grill and letting that dry, then using a fine grit flexi-file sanding stick, removing paint off the grill bars and polishing that grill and all the paint at the same time would give a better effect. That said I have heard you say you don't want cars to stand out in a given collection group...so I get that.
Thanks again for another fun vid !
