  • In this quick restoration i will restore a 1969 Hot Wheels Custom Volkswagen Beach Bomb side loader. This is a much more common car than the rear loading beach bomb that I did a custom of some months back. big thanks to Sean Ford for sending me this and many other cars!!

I think I find these so fascinating because I restore old cars for a living, and I never had Hotwheels as a kid because my parents couldn't afford them. I got an occasional Tootsie Toy instead.

This one is by far my favorite restoration I've watched on your channel. I like the yellow spectraflame. It has a gold look to it. Keep up the restorations.

You know, I just gotta say, as a guy who grew up playing with hot wheels cars as a kid, this is fascinating. I mean, my wheelhouse is vintage D&D gaming, computers as a hobby, etc., but I would never really get into hot wheels restoration or collecting...but man your videos are great. I enjoy watching you bring these things back to life! Thanks!

I am not a collector or interested in collecting or restoring these cars but I find the work you do interesting and quite relaxing. It's just nice seeing something that is clearly on the edge of being junk, being brought back to looking almost like new.

Another interesting resto with fascinating insights into the history of this particular model. I agree, the side extensions looked horribly botched; definitely a 'quick fix' that ruined the overall aesthetic. I'd loved to have been a fly on the wall during the meeting when that gigantic cock up was revealed. Thanks for producing and sharing your skills in another of your videos, it was an extremely enjoyable watch.

That Busch polish does a very very good job of polishing.
