How to fix Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Error Code F51

Last week, our Whirlpool Cabrio washer quit working with the error code F51. The error code F51 results from the control board not sensing the proper driver motor spin. There are a few different reasons for this; in this video, I'll show you the most likely fix for this error.

It did. Had it not, the next step was replacing the control board. But my wife was unimpressed and is tired of the loudness of the machine, so we went and bought new ones. Plus, for some reason, the washer seemed to go out of balance a lot more than before.

@@theperchfarm So would you suggest even bothering with fixing it? They big box stores are having Black Friday sales and thought it might just be easier to buy new instead of fixing and having possible issues again.

@@simplemanchannel3318 The repair is very easy and I'd suggest giving it a try, it only took me several minutes.

@@theperchfarm Well. I guess I will give it a go. I did try unplugging and letting in sit for about 20 minutes. I am currently running it empty on the rinse/drain & spin and waiting to see what happens.
