@@davidkeith7087 I think the best thing that ever happened to me was losing everything. I always had a family that would bail me out of everything. They finally just got sick of it and cut me off. I promised myself I would never been in that situation again. I’m in recovery and I did it to myself. But losing money only made me stronger. I’ve since gotten sober and repaired those relationships. I’ve been able to keep a roof over my head and pay for all of my bills by myself. I know that sounds so stupid because I should’ve done that years ago. I am grateful that it happened. I wish you the very best!

I live Vanlife here in Hawai’i currently, in total the last 6 or 7 years. California was by far the hardest place as a nomad/on the road, regardless of which type of vehicle. The state laws make it really difficult, finding a place to park overnight is tough. If I did have to recommend a spot, a little north of Malibu in the mountains is where I typically park when I’m traveling thru, but down south in San Diego there’s a huge community of vanlifers if you ever feel lonely or wanna make some friends. Stoked to come across your channel. Keep creating and sharing your journey 🖤

You should create an Amazon store and then put links to the stuff you have bought for your car life. You will make a little money on anything anyone buys thru your links. They have to buy within 24 hours though, once they put it in their cart. Doesn't cost them any more than direct thru Amazon. Win, Win, the links help those new to car life and you with a little extra income.

Your videos are no way too long, in fact just about perfect. I follow a number of channels with van lifers etc. and they always talk about Walmart being a place to park, I work at Home Depot and you will not be bothered if you overnight park, just park on the outskirts, at my store we usually have a couple of 18 wheelers and anywhere up to 6 campers of various types.

My car has dark tinted windows, but what I did when I was living in my car I bought black fabric and made curtains and added that to the inside of my car. From the outside people could not look in because it was so dark because of the black tint and the black fabric behind it. Sometimes it was very hot in the summer time . I would run the AC on for a while but because the AC would suck up the gas I could not run it all night. Therefore I bought mosquito net at the hardware store and put the mosquito net on the back passanger windows with duck tape. At night time I would lower the back windows a bit and the mosquito net would keep the bugs out while getting a nice breeze from outside. In the winter it would get cold and I would put the heat on for some time but Also would layer up with clothes and that would keep me warm.

And you’re also going to inspire others who are struggling and finding themselves homeless, especially during these hard times. Life has gotten to expensive after the pandemic that those who were struggling before the pandemic have found themselves in even worse situations now.
I’m sorry that you have no family or friends to lean on. I hope that through this community you can find trustworthy people whom you can eventually call your friend and family.

A tip since you are blowing up in subs (and you should be able to monetize soon, which can help in income if you continue to grow)
Set up a few Amazon affiliate links and put them in your description. Something like a link to the curtain, even if the click doesnt end up in a sale, if they buy something during the same session, you will get small kickbacks for Amazon credit. It won't be a lot of money, but you will start to save when purchasing.

And for your iPad, have you tried cleaning the iPad charging connector? It's often because of a lot of dust that gets into the port that the iPad doesn't charge anymore because there is no contact. You have to go slowly to remove the dust with a small object like a toothpick. Once done, blow a little inside to remove what's left and with a little luck, it will charge again 😉

Your value orientation is a lot heathier than those claiming to have much materially. I'm 53 years old, a profeesional (by the world's standards) but have made some changes in my personal life to move away from the "materialistic" values that define our culture. It’s got a park that’s open for day use so the facilities are there. 🤷‍♂️ I park out here nearby and do my run/workout and then bathroom shower before I take on the day. Can also park out near the orchards in the backroads of Ojai too. When you’re out in LA, you can park on the beachside street parking near Venice and Santa Monica. There’s also safe parking programs out there that let you park. Passing that along with what I’ve learned being out here, hope it helps!

At least in a van/car every little mod you come up with gives a little bit of joy.
My advice, get an electric toy I have an electric skateboard and I feel blessed every time I use it, you get to see so much more of the world than on foot or in a car. I wish I had have had it when I lived in my van for those 8 months, I would have left the van more often and seen so much more of where ever I was staying at the time.

I really admire you very much. you are a strong person, but I just want to say if you ever need a place I have 2 empty bedrooms in my house in Watkinsville Georgia. it's free. all you have to do is help me out of bed and then you are free to go. I have muscular dystrophy and im trying to save money on caregiving. I live alone. no pressure at all. just wanted to mention it. all the best to you and please be careful always. im glad I found your channel. enjoy your chick peas ... ryon 😀

@@bigdz5969 well id rather offer and seem creepy than not offer at all. im the one taking the risk anyway. I use a power chair and have no muscles. she could easily kick my butt. also, big d z, if you were homeless I would do the same for you. that's just what Georgia Bulldogs do 😉

I'm a travel nurse but on many occasions housing is too expensive to justify the cost and I stay in the rental Car. I will usually ask if I can get an suv and tell them my situation and sometime you never know the universe smiles on you. For me I just stay at the rest stops , typically have good bathrooms and no one bothers you 24 hour gym perfect for staying in shape and of course showering 😄

Whole heart - hill song 🎧 god is good
I hope one day oler can meet you are a literal angel. You are so loved. Your first video I came across I was crying Bc I slept in a car first few months this year and how warm it made me feel to have you make the most out of it and then TH-cam it and not feel shame. And that’s what the enemy wants and it’s beautiful to embrace what is a season that is temporary and that’s what people don’t know that God is ALWAYS working
