Thank you so much for bringing more attention to Hypnospace! It was my favorite game of the year when it came out, and I couldn't believe it when literally none of my friends had heard of it. It deserves to be a WAY bigger deal.
The fact omori has hundreds of recommendations in these comments shows it has a fanbase large enough that it doesn't need the exposure these games do.

i would like to see this become a serie because it is like a multi reveiw vid more than a top 10. and more amazing games to try is always welcomed.
Jay Tholen (creator of Hypnospace) has another great game called Dropsy where you play as a creepy clown trying to show the world you arent creepy and make friends.
I’ve played Hypnospace Outlaw and Wilmot’s Warehouse, and I’ve heard of disc room before, but still and amazing video.
Clicked on the thumbnail for Hypnospace Outlaw alone. Fantastic game and you explained it excellently.

Fun Fact: In one of my friend's psychology classes, their professor reccomended Wilmot Warehouse, apparently it helped them understand how humans shape symbols and images with patterns.

Much like the last video, you've given me some really interesting games to check out here! I never thought I'd be so interested in the idea of a storage organizing game, but it really calls out to me. Looking forward to trying these out when I next have actual money.

Hypnospace outlaw seems like a much more expanded and immersive version of a normal lost phone, which has a kinda similar setup but tells a very personal story, where you find a lost phone that’s already unlocked and you have to poke around in it to try to find what happened to its owner, solving puzzles built into the phone along the way to get more information (like guessing passwords or security questions using relevant information to the characters)

I haven't played them myself (yet), but check out Hylics and Hylics 2, I think those would be right up your alley. And I was really hyped to see you talk about Disc Room, I feel like nobody played that and I really liked it!

Hey man I love your channel. I have some lesser known indies you need to look into and feature. Demon's Tilt, Post Void, I, Dracula Gensis, Cyber Hook, Odallus: The Dark Call, Yoku's Island Express, Marble It Up!, Golden Light, Crumble, Simmiland.
I dont play any of the games you like but i watch every video because it's an insight into a world I'm not part of and your videos are just that good.
Disc rooms bonus objective thing reminds me of Jetpack Joyrides gameplay loop. I love that.
I bought "Battle Chef Brigade" because of your video, and it was AWESOME! I think this time i'll try something too. But it's hard to decide which one

Through quarantine, I've been really really struggling to find games that interest me. Especially since the kinds of games that I like aren't really mainstream enough to find easily, and even harder to find ones that turn out to be good, I've pretty much given up hope on finding new things to get into that aren't major releases that appear in showcases or Directs. But both this video and the previous one you made gave me at least 5 really interesting titles to check out that I think I'll really love. So, thank you!

I finally got a ring fit after seeing your video a year ago and man why didn't I get it sooner, its one of the most fun games i've even played
Hypnospace reminds me of Emily Is Away. I love those games SO much. They simulate 90s style messenger programs (MSN, etc) and it's a super SUPER immersive visual novel romance game for people that actually experienced childhood romance through a program like it.
I got stupidly obsessed with playing those games! Like I kept going back trying to do things differently to see if I could change anything and got so frustrated when there was nothing left for me to do. I was way too attached to those characters!
My comment is 2 years late but hello anyway. It's nice to see someone else who appreciated these games.

Bro I haven't even watched the video but I saw hypnospace outlaw and I organsmed from the sheer excitement of seeing it being talked about. It's absolutely one of my favourite games of all time.
I highly recommend "bug fables the everlasting sapling " which is an indie paper mario like RPG with cute characters, god tier soundtrack and incredible gameplay

learning about new interesting indie games are always fun, considering how my laptop can only run indie games properly.
There is also the Lands of Dream games that have little coverage on youtube, which I find to be very beautiful. Its made by the same guy who was the writer for Talos Principle, another phenomenal game. One of them is available on steam called The Sea Will Claim Everything. I really recomend trying it out, it really was one of those once in a while experiences that stuck with me.

You should check out Struggling by Chasing Rats Games. It's a cool co-op experience that I heard about when I saw their kickstarter for their other game, Worship. The music is a bop and it will fill the room with it's funkyness.
Maybe I should finally play Hypnospace. I've heard a heck of a lot of people talk good things.

You should play Mad Rat Dead, it's a rhythm platformer with a fantastic OST and a surprisingly thought-provoking story that challenges your moral compass.
I may have not played any of them yet but I knew about two of these games being disc room and hypno space

I hope Bleed 2 makes it into the next indie games video. It's probably one of my favorite sidescrolling shooters, and has a banger soundtrack
I’m one step ahead of you, already played all three of them haha. But Wilmot’s Warehouse and Disc Room are the bomb of fun. Played Wilmot’s Warehouse a ton when Quarantine started and Disc Room at the end of 2020
Also. Wilmot’s Warehouse makes life amazing when you play co-op and you realize you and your buddy organize objects differently
