22:56 that early mission is avoidable plus the reward isn’t worth it, so the next time on Switch just decline Lin from looking for those parts. Nothing bad will happen, u will only get your small reward and saved yourself hours of headaches.
Thank you so much for putting together this video. As a huge Xeno fan myself going all the way back to Xenogears, I agree with every one of your QoL suggestions. Here's hoping Monolith comes through for us and makes XCXDE amazing.
@@mperry5149 hopefully they do. X was my first so definitely wanna see it be the best it can be. Maybe one day we'll get a Saga and Gears rerelease to, would love to play those games eventually.
Trailer N#2 is what we are all waiting for hopefully showing all you've just said and maybe more 🤜🏻🤛🏻. All I really wanted since playing it in 2015 is a better Quest board it's all one big melange. All you've said makes perfect sense and I'm totally with ya on every point.
A feature to implement a story replay (like new game plus) is good too. Like on wii the game only have 1 save files and we cant replay the story...im sad :(
@@extinctbaryonyx yeah new game + or something would be great. Would make grinding classes out easier as well if you could run a new class through the game again while keeping existing class progress.
Yeah a toggle would be the simplest solution. But I'd still like to be able to jump after getting the flight pack. You get quite a bit off altitude from the initial take off then trying to position yourself to land where you were jumping to can be a bit awkward.
Is there any unused button they could set the toggle to so you don't even have to pause or anything? That seems like the best solution. Second possibility is double press the jump button to activate the flying, though it would be kinda cool if pressing both zL and zR at the same time did it. The only other change would be to have the music fade in after reaching a certain altitude or the ability to turn off the flight music.
@@ShadowSkyX Nope. There are so many buttons used that they had to use R as a toggle to access more buttons. The easiest solution is changing the trigger for flight to either holding ZR or double pressing ZR.
1) Competent AI If Elma is next to a cliff and you command her to focus on melee, she will say “got it” followed by a poorly timed Sliding Slinger. Please be competent. I don’t want to remove Lin’s AoE arts every time there’s a horde of enemies nearby. 2) Better UI and menus Clean up that cluttered mess. Make the text size readable and list items in alphabetical order. Also don’t make me run around town looking for party members. Let me swap them from the menu. 3) Colourblind mode. I can barely see the brown time capsule benches from the red ones. It’s also hard to see red lobsters on green grass. Out of all the xenoblade games, this one gave me the most trouble with colours because overdrive happens so fast. It’s not like chain attacks where you can take your time. 4) Better tutorials No explanation required. 5) Pop in Reduce or eliminate it. It made finding those info quests so much harder. Edit: I made this comment before watching to give my raw thoughts. After seeing the full video, you covered so many points in detail that I agree with: Get rid of offline text - Yes! Multiple save files - Yes. Change time (and weather) from the menu - Yes. Events theatre - Yes. Allow all party members to level up with you - Yes. (It’s ridiculous to go into an affinity quest with the required party member 20 levels below.) And I also like the idea of skell music triggering at a high altitude or just allowing us to jump normally like we could before the Skell flight module.
Leader boards! (personally I don't care) but it would be neat. Restricted challenge mode: no overdrive, ghost walker or the other really good art. Skell challenges - these could yield skell parts, weapons that are hard to come by, or new skins or replicas. Beating a skell challenge would unlock a new weight class, extra heavy, and the weapon, part or replica would specifically do more damage to nemesis and reach level 99. Restricted arts challenge: you have only 4 arts; 2 for the ranged and 2 for the melee. Again no overdrive ghost walker or the other art. My idea is that it would be like botw's eventide island challenge, stripping you back to the same number of arts you start with.
I knew all this time that Mythra’s sword was super familiar! ITS A SKELL WEAPON

I'd go with the toggle on and off the flight music in the Game from the menu. There is only one song that I would turn it off on.

@@benineight4750Yeah. I hate how you lose the ability to jump once you get flight. It's an easy fix. Press ZR to jump, hold ZR to fly.

Hope you guys enjoy the video, put a lot of time into this one. Please share stuff you'd like to see in Definitive Edition, realistic or otherwise :P
All Excellent thoughts! I'd not be surprised if the new end content regarding Lao comes with a paywall to DLC. But how about an explorable lifehold?!
@@anthonycalabrese9526 thanks!
An explorable lifehold would be great. Especially with one of the cliffhangers revolving around it.

I think they should reduce the grinding for gear. 40 pieces of a hard to get body drop from a giant enemy is just too much to keep me invested.
