this is so good, im 16 years old but im so firm in my worth in God and i desire a relationship someday but because im so deep in commitment and relationship with God i want to be so careful in the person i marry and i want to be intentional and sure in it. so having videos like these is so helpful and is such a blessing🙌🏼

I’m the same way! I’m 17 and you know I just want to remind you obeying God and staying pure in Him and being patient is so important and it’s so worth it personally I’ve never dated a guy or had a talking stage situationship whatever all these things are I’ve never had it or experienced and it can be hard sometimes cause I can feel so worthless and lonely but then I remember how much of a gift this is! Like God is literally protecting me and I know if I stay faithful and pure in Him I will be blessed and just be encouraged and firm in God He will bless you throughly and I pray that one day He blesses u with an amazing man of God God bless

The Christian God you're seeking is a demon and a maniac. Your Bible is cursed (cuz I know you're reading a corrupted version of it). You might wanna run from Christianity and never look back. But you won't, because your desires are for this world and not for the real Jesus who saved all creation including Satan and the fallen angels, who comes for His true church in these last days. I would burn your current Bible, drop the idea of free will , eternal hell torment, and the Trinity, and watch some Universal Salvation videos so you can get to know the REAL GOD. 😊

This reminds me something Jon Courson said when teaching Galatians (which talks of our liberty in Christ as opposed to the Law). He said , to paraphrase, that when you truly love God, you are so preoccupied pleasing Him (which includes obedience) rather than keeping track of sins not to do. i.e. Grace vs The Law.

The Lord knew I needed this I have been idolizing relationships and men my entire life. It’s definitely been a hindrance to my relationship with God. I’m only 19 and desire a Godly relationship so badly because I’ve been single my entire life. I would settle by just talking to anyone especially worldly men which is my problem I would always be left heartbroken every-time. It was so bad that when I would have my talks with God. I would say things like “you must hate me just take the desire of wanting a relationship away from me” or “I’m going to die alone aren’t I”. I would be crying my eyes out saying these things. I would convince myself that I’m going to be single forever. Which is me just being dramatic. I have come to realize I have to be content and happy with it just being me and God weather He has someone for me or not.

Yes I feel you a 100% I also feel like the same way but I am in the other side of the spectrum. I am currently 17 turning 18 in 3 months and I am in a relationship. I felt the exact same way you do and started my first relationship at 16. I am now in my second relationship due to the same reason as you of idolizing relationship with men and I tell you from the other side of the spectrum it does not get easier feeling like that being with someone than feeling like that way while being single. I have been listening to a lot of podcasts and preaches and I have come to the realization that right now I am not ready for a relationship because my relationship with God has nor been #1 in my life and it has been so hard for me to let go from my partner just because I decided to rush things and do them my way. Use this time to work on you and your relationship with him until you depend 100% in God and things will flow so much easier. I am in a state of so much confusion and fear because I don't want to let go of what I have, so please take advantage of not being with anyone. God has saved you from a lot of trouble.

Hinder me from continuing to build my relationship with God. I have some advice for you. I know you didn’t ask for my opinion and I may not be the wisest but. I’m going to share my thoughts “God is not a God of confusion” 1Corinthians 14:33. Any relationships in your life no matter if it’s a friendship or a romantic relationship. Should be bringing you closer to God not away from Him. If you know He hasn’t been #1 in your life and you genuinely feel like. Your relationship with your partner is distracting you and hindering you from your relationship. With Him you need to cut it off as soon as possible. It won’t be easy and I understand that but. God’s got you always and is protecting you and covering your heart always. You’ll be okay make sure to lean on His understanding and not your own. God bless you!!
The way that my story lines up with this exactly just blows my mind. For years I was okay with settling with men that were worldly and would break my heart in an instant because I was never raised by men that genuinely loved the women they were with but used them for their own desires. I am also 19 and have decided that I want God to fully be first and for Him to teach me how to become the woman and wife that He has designed me to be. I pray for all of our spiritual walks with God and that we continue to allow Him to lead!

Hey Emy, I really need some prayer right now sis. This message spoke to me a little too hard and I started to feel unweary in my spirit because I knew I wasn't being obedient to God in my relationship. I tried to explain how I was feeling to my bf and we ended up breaking up. I'm praying for him and that God brings all the darkness to light. I love my bf so much, but I want to live a life that is on fire for Jesus and I know that is my purpose and calling. You are setting such a great example for so many Christian couples out there. You helped me higher my standards for the Lord. I'm feeling hurt right now but I know God has my back! Thank you Emy.

I feel like ever since my first relationship in high school, I’ve idolized relationships and seeing them as something that I’m waiting for. That my purpose will eventually be satisfied in the form of relationships. I decided to give my life to Christ two years ago as a sophomore in college but it wasn’t until now, with the help of this video, that I realized that I’ve been idolizing relationships over God. I am impatient and I want to be in a relationship with the girl I’ve had strong feelings for ever since I first met her three years ago. But through this season God has been showing me that I have a bigger purpose in him, and that I’m made to pursue him and him only and he will take care of the rest. It’s been a struggle for me to surrender everything to him, especially this part of my life, but this video gives me encouragement to drop everything and follow him. It’s hard but we learn to walk by faith not by sight. Praise God ❤

Match the up with the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-26) and what God says love as (2 Corinthians 13:4-8. Are you both equally yoked ? Do they love and respect you? As they lead by God? Are y’all compatible. Do they protect your purity ? Are they selfless?

I am 13 in 7th grade and ik its young but i just got of relationship, I and i was feeling so guilty for hurting him, and i knew from the beginning that he wasnt the one(God Sent), but i was like "oh theres potential" and for the last week God was just convicting me about it bc i am abusing him (not literally) and leading him to thinking there could be smt. So today i finally did it and it still feels like a heartbreak, and i have been going through some attacks, and have been feeling alone but this video was sent by GOD HIMSELF !!! so PRAISE THE LORD!!! and i legit believe this so much "if you doubting or having to create the imagination of wht you could be he isnt the one bc the future isnt yours but God's and His will is always working for our better"!!!

Very much needed! I just got out of an 8 year relationship. I was 19 when we started dating, and I was dating for all the wrong reasons, filling in my issues with relationship. When I began my journey with Christ I was 25. I realized we were on two different journeys in life. I am 28 now single, and it’s been 5 months after our breakup. Watching your podcast reminded me that I am in the right track, and need to be mindful of entering my next relationship, dating with purpose not potential. Thank you both for your wisdom. I just found out that my now ex had been cheating on me from the beginning of our relationship, and I was definitely dating him for potential, wanting to see if God was going to touch his life (as he said he loves God but his actions did not yet show it). I prayed to the Lord every day to show me the truth and if he is the person for me, I asked for clarity and I got it 2 months later. I’m really thankful to God but so broken about the fact that I was clearly deceived by a man who couldn’t even repent (I was just a tool for him).
