This is one of the many versions of ""je t'amie"" Lara sings on stage through the years in many countries ...Each of them always different and so emotional and touching.
In the second performance, Lara allows the audience the to sings the first voice...
The pianist begins to play on the singing of the fans ...Lara follows, sings the second voice and dances withe her voice around the singing of the fans ...
So beautiful, so well done ...Mara is always close whit her fans and withe the audience ...

Regarding the second rendition, Lara was facing hard times , both on the personal (health, love betrayal and breakup) and professional (her progress blocked in the US by her own record company) sides.
Her fanbase knew most of it and wanted to show support and they used this song, one of her biggest hits in France, replacing the title” Je t’aime / I love you” by “On t’aime / We love you”.
I love how Lara, after the initial surprise, establishes a beautiful dialog with the crowd, giving them room to sing with her.
It shows how benevolent and humble she is.
The song itself is a gem, it was as I said one of her songs that reached the top 10 in France charts. But it even grew bigger after it and has become now a french classic, her most iconic french song. It is still attracting a lot of covers from the young french and canadian vocalists generation (Amir, Jeck, …). Most frenchmen know the song by heart.
Surprisingly, it was also a massive success in russia and eastern europe: she became a superstar there thanks to it (and 15 years before her lengthy collaboration with Igor Krutoy that extended this even further) and the song is a MUST in russian karaoke and a recurrent in russian singer contests.
Again many covers of this songs from eastern europe talents: Polina Gagarina, Sevara Nazarkhan, Katerina Maslova, Natalia Tsarikova, …
As always with her biggest hits, Lara has performed it in many different ways:
    • Intense and powerful at World Music Awards 1999,
    • Subtle and delicate in her En Toute Intimité 2003 tour.
    • Classy and moving, performing with 2 vertebrae broken, at Royal Albert Hall in London (2011)
    • Jazzy in a recent perf (2018) with a band from Quebec
The lyrics are also mesmerizing. Despite the title, it is not a classic love song but a breakup song instead.
“Je t’aime” was written by Lara Fabian and Rick Allison, her longtime music producer and composer. He also had been her boyfriend for a few years, at the start of her career. This song was written when their love evolved to a friendship and a professional relationship . It speaks about a couple splitting while still having a lot of sentiments one for the other.

I thought they simply sang it because they do love her, but knowing she was facing hard times, it is even more powerful. Such support is even stronger than just love. Love and support do go hand in hand, but they are not always one and the same thing...

Despite the title, this is in fact a love breakup song, but where ex-lovers still have a lot of sentiments one for the other.
Here is a translation of the lyrics:
      Fine, there where1
      Other ways to separate
      Some glass splinters
      May have helped us
      In this bitter silence
      I decided to forgive
      The mistakes we might make
When we are loving too much
      Fine, the little girl
      In me often demanded you
      Almost like a mother
You tucked me up, protected me
I've stolen from you that blood
The one that we should not have shared
      Out of words and dreams
      I want to scream
      Refrain:
I love you, I love you
Like a madman, like a soldier
      Like a movie star
I love you, I love you
Like a wolf, like a king
Like a man who's not me
You see, i love you that way
      Fine, I trusted you
All my smiles, all my secrets
Even those which only a brother
      Is the secret guardian of
In this house made of stone
Devil was watching us while we were dancing
i wanted so much the war
Of our bodies, who were in peace
      Refrain:
I love you, i love you
Like a madman, like a soldier
      Like a movie star
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you
Like a wolf, like a king
Like a man who's not me

Here, in the first one, she intermittently seems to direct where she sings "je'taime" to the person in the story as well as to the audience. However, towards the end she was very much into the emotional state dictated by the story...a stunning raw performance. 👌⭐🌹♥️
I the second, the involvement of the audience clearly and greatly affected her performance...the audience drawing attention to themselves, wishing and wanting to become intimate with her as their beloved artist and so,... She fulfilled their wish by responding perfectly to their outcry. ...romancing their love for each other. It all happened in Paris, the city known for love and romance.
...giving the world THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LOVESTORY IN SONG! ❤⭐
Thank you for your reaction reaction. Not only is this a touching reaction but also one revealing part of the true artistry of Lara as a performing artist.

Listening for the first time, in the first one I felt she was only singing to the person in the story, but you're right, she does direct it at the audience as well. It was far more obvious in the second one, but my feeling is more like they started it by telling her they love her, not asking for it back, but being touched by their outpour of emotion, she naturally responded.

    Wow, such a beautiful reaction!
Lara herself said more than once that she was in a very dark place at that time, even contemplating/planning suicide. People knew she was having a hard time, as the french press was very openly cruel with her in multiple ocasions for really nonsense reasons, but I don't think her fans were fully aware at that moment that their demonstration of love was helping to save her life, and I think that's just beautiful. It shows how trully important is to show love to others, as we never know how much someone might need it.

Éric´s suggestion for " Lara The Ring Fabian " channel is a must for you if you desire learning more about the wise and fascinating woman Lara is. ( in your spare time that is.) For me, Lara is like " chicken soup " for the heart embodied in one human being. She has a way and a life philosophy that is extremely healing for day to day broken hearts or life challenging ordeals.

My Dear Aleks, I hope you don’t get me wrong, but it was a pleasure to watch you crying 🙌🏻 But, seriously, it was a beautiful reaction and you were supposed to cry anyway… There’s really something about Lara that makes her unique: the way she conveys emotion. Aside from having an incredible technique (her breath control is really something else and she’s a master when easily travelling through high and low notes), she’s unafraid to take risks by being emotionally involved with the song and the audience in a very real and intimate way. It’s impossible to avoid being dragged in… I simply love how unapologetically emotional she is and one of the many things that fascinates me about her is how she can seem so powerful and vulnerable at the same time… how she manages to be such a relatable goddess. 🤎 Lara and her fans definitely have such a special bond! It’s a reciprocal love for sure. Thank you so much for accepting my suggestion! ❤️

Oh, I read this comment multiple times, simply because it made my day! Thank you so much! ❤
      For so many reasons:
      1. Thank you for trusting my reaction enough to dive in with eyes closed!
      2. Gotcha with the second reaction in this double - so happy it worked. 😂
      3. Gotcha again! I have not yet reacted to Angelina Jordan - she keeps losing the polls in community, but something new by her will come up and maybe win. Or I'll just add her out of the blue, when I catch my breath
@rlew49ers also mentioned Morissette Amon, and even though my queue is full to the brim, I have an idea that I will put to the poll again that might give some less prominent artists on this channel or anywhere really more of chance than the polls so far have. I'm writing them all in the list and will figure out a way to include more artists.
