Carmelo details how he was caught by surprise when GM Daryl Morey told him he was "no longer needed" on the Rockets, which he says was "deeper than basketball." Melo adds that Chris Paul and James Harden did not know about his departure, and does not think Mike D'Antoni was involved.

1. I have a serious issue with ESPN showing only Melo's misses during his time with Houston, what message are ypu trying to send to the public?
2. Why is Daryl Morey telling Melo he isn't gonna make it on the rotation? isn't that D'Antoni's job since he is the coach?
I agree with the first part, but it's possible that D'Antoni didn't even want him in the first place and told Morey that it's his problem if things aren't working out.

Look at the last 3 situations that Melo was in. He's getting a lot of the negative rep that was the organizations' fault. He came from the Knicks, OKC and then Houston. New York has dysfunction all over. OKC people questioned if other stars can win with Russ. Houston had issues with James Harden wanting to run iso ball, while CP3 is more of a traditional guard.
There were issues in all 3 organizations before and after Melo was there, so to even blame Melo for all 3 situations going bad is just unfair to him.
Perhaps he does - my all-time fav NBA player is Patrick Ewing and as a hardcore No. 33 stan, I hated the fact that Ewing was a "black hole" who hardly passed to his teammates but guess what?
