What I think would happen is that the giga is coming for a drink at a lake and the spino lunged at the giga and bit the underside of it’s neck, the giga pushes the spino’s stomach with its foot and the spino’s teeth start to cut the giga’s neck open. because the spino has jaws that are made for catching fish, it drags the giga into the water and try’s to suffocate it. The giga bites the spino’s sail and the spinosaurus is paralyzed for a moment then it bites the top of the giga’s neck like the trex in JP 3 and breaks the giga’s neck. Then the spino dies after getting a heart attack by the giga pushing the spino’s chest more into its body squishing its heart, that’s how I think the battle would go. Spino 50%. Giga 50%.

Tyrannosaurus rex was also the smartest out of all large theropods, while having impeccable eyesight better than a hawk and incredible smell. Tyrannosaurus had the strongest bite of any fully terrestrial animal ever. The bulk of T. rex gives it strength and agility over C. saharicus, S. aegyptiacus and G. carolinii.
T. rex beats S. aegyptiacus, S. cf. "aegypticus" and S. indet. in water due to spino not swimming any better than any other theropod.

@AL-qs9blSome of that's right, but some is wrong. T.rex was actually more agile than Giganotosaurus due to it's strong legs that allow it to turn faster. Also yes T.rex is the biggest now, but you can't just act like that's temporary. It might change in the future, it might not, we just don't know.

Not to mention Henderson used a different dorsal view than what is known for Spinosaurus.
And neither did he aply the increased bone density we know the animal had.
Overal, it doesn't conclude Spinosaurus wasn't able to swim.

It has 2 claws because as the tyrannosaurid family evolved it went from a more allosaurid body build (light bite longer 3 claws arms) to a muscular body with a huge head... so in short they got a bigger bite and used their arms less so they shrunk down to prioritize growth to muscle mass and head size ... the short arms were present in tyrannosaurids long before trex ... and other dinosaurs like abelisaurids (Carnotaurus and Majungasaurus etc) have the same traits although they prioritise muscle growth in the tail and legs more so than the chest and neck growth of the tyrannosaurids

Just like it's african cousin, carcharodontosaurus. It should be taught that scavengers never get very big and they would not have adaptations for hunting if they were never going to use them, because this makes people sound asinine when speculating how dinosaurs lived.

@@matejajanic6932 The spino has 2 tons of bite force, and weighs a maximum of 11 tons and a maximum of 18 meters in length according to estimates. Giga has 3.6 Tons of bite force and max 12 see 14 (maybe 15) Tons and max 14 or 15 Tons as far as we know. The spinosaurus is not agile on Earth, it is not made to stay long and fight on land, even if it has fought Carcharodontosaurus a few times.
