To me, one of the most underrated details of the fight simulation is how the first few minutes consist of the two dinosaurs trying to intimidate each other into retreating. They don't immediately charge at each other to rip out each other's throats, because, well, even massive theropod dinosaurs have strong self-preservation instincts! They size each other up first, like every large animal does. The T-Rex roars and tries to make itself as tall as possible, while the Spino rears up like a bear and flashes its super cool claws! Overall, this fight simulation is EASILY the most convincing and realistic dinosaur confrontation I've ever seen -- the Jurassic World final battle is entertaining to me, but it's obviously unrealistic, and I'll take gritty realism over flashy spectacle any day. Goji Center, you've done awesome work making videos that are both entertaining and SHOCKINGLY educational!
Actually Jurassic World Dominion had some realism in it's Giganotosaurus vs Tyrannosaurus Rex fights because even in the end they sized each other up and tried to scare one another off
@@TonyJack74 I agree that was probably the most realistic outcome in a dinosaur movie. one dinosaur walks away the other is grateful for it. no such thing as being a coward in the animal kingdom as any injury to either large size predator could result in a double death in the long run.
Yes, I agree with this comment and the replies, I can’t really think of another battle in the Jurassic Universe where two apex predators had a non-lethal fight and then went their separate ways.
I gotta say, for your very first fully animated episode of Battle Face-off, it’s not bad at all! Whoever animated this deserves praise. There was a bit of janky movements and the models sometimes looked off with their limbs in some moments, but otherwise it felt like a real confrontation between two animals. The analysis was enjoyable, spot on, and delivered good trivia and was presented very well. I like both of these dinosaurs, and it’s nice to see both being portrayed well here. I do hope you’ll be able to make more animated episodes. I’ll consider being a Patron as well to help fund more animated episodes. Great episode overall, Goji Center!
agreed, the dinos seemed a bit floaty but otherwise this was phenomenal! Loved all the details they gave each model to reflect all the most up to date info.
This is by far one of the coolest T.rex vs. Spinosaurus battle videos i've seen . I love how both dinosaurs where both presented as strong and almost equal . I've learned a lot from this too .
As a spino fan I'm happy with this result, because most channels will just outright insult the spinosaurus and say it would be destroyed by the trex anywhere but here, you have respect and love for both the dinosaurs and took a look at their strengths and weakness fairly, and the winner was based off of the terrane the fight was taking place. In conclusion fantastic video, from my perspective you showed respect to, both dinosaurs and their fanbases
It all depends on the environment. If the battle is near the water or in a swampy area, the Spino would drown the T-rex. However, on land the T-rex just has too strong of a bite to contend with.
Yeah in most cases we spinosaurus fans know that spino was not built to hunt large dinos and mostly lived its whole life eating fish and have more than 50% of it losing to trex but then some Trex fans are just disrespectful as fuck and says" trex will destroy spinosaurus ass. Trex will eat spinosaurus for dinner. " Its just obnoxious as fvck
The Spinosaurus is my favorite dino (very interesting and unique) but it isn't made to fight a dinosaur its size head-on. That's like making a gharial fight a crocodile, the crocodile obviously wins because its way of feeding involves brawling with big prey and other crocs, while gharials fish.
@@gigachad6885 I mostly agree but it came in conflict with carcharodontosaurus which is of relative size. Not saying they fought all the time just that I had conflict with other animals besides itself in a similar weight class.
It's incredibly nice to have an unbias take on the 2 animals while debunking old myths and shutting up fan boys on each side. The work shown here was amazing truly, from the voice over to the animation and grahpics. Thank You Goji Center for finally putting an accurate simulation out there!
@@diamond_dude1063 nope, Trex literally destroys the Spino in everything minus being a better swimmer but Trex was able to defend itself against a Mosasaurus when swimming so a Spino is nothing. No “fan buying” just facts.
It’s a shame this didn’t get more views, the effort and studying out into this video is insane and literally on a documentaries level. Please don’t be discouraged by the performance on this video Goji Centre your fans love it so make more.
Yeah, it just wasn't that.. accurate. If the spino was actually 10 tons, its legs would have been thicker, the bones on its legs were actually quite thin and the muscles were quite lacking. There was no research to back up the "research" that the spino were 10tons. The video was also clearly biased on spino. The T-Rex, was actually 10-11tons. You can do your own research if you don't believe.
As a long time t rex fan, this is the best video that has ever been made about what would happen in a fight to the death between these two. Hats off to you
@@DocAllo it wasn't a mismatch it is 2 of most true matches ever because goji center wasn't biased at all so I can see this happening in real life if they ever meet.
I like how this fight takes into consideration that either rex or spino could have a strong chance of winning depending on where the fight is happening (for example the spinosaurus having the upper hand in a aquatic environment) as well as clarifying that a fight to the death wouldn't be a common occurrence
Yep that was actually a cool detail they added. In real life most encounters/ face offs between predators rarely result in death because they're aware of what is in danger. Whether it be their life immediately or their ability to hunt which would lead to their death later.
@@thanos7942 a rex is pure muscle its almost like trying to waddle with jeans on in ankle or knee deep water. so swamps, tropical wetlands have lots of ankle/knee deep water with will slow a rex trying to run at full speed.
Ya proved me wrong on what to expect. I originally said this battle has been done to death, but you guys made it interesting. That was cool man. Glad to see new studies mixed in and not to add the way either one could win in their element.
Kiddies thinking this would be an easy win for the T.rex are going to be in for a surprise. The biggest part for this video I enjoy so much, along the magnificent hard work on the animation, voicing, and graphics, is to help the GojiCenter team debunk many myths, which to me makes these fun Vs videos a perfect and underused medium to educate others about these lesser known details. Some people I think get very emotional comparing the T.rex to the other gigantic theropods, defensive of the dinosaur they grew up with. But nature wasn't about making one animal better than the other. It's about natural selection formulating life to the conditions presented to them in that time and place. And when one wants to compare such life in a way like this, respecting one animal isn't dissing another. It's a common misconception, especially with how emotional some get, liking any big theropod but the T.rex means you hate ol'Tyrant. Untrue for me, much as I like to point out the power of others. To anyone who gets really upset when the possibility of a T.rex losing in a fight with another animal, which sounds more impressive? A confrontation that the largest predator a whole continent has ever seen was going to win by default? Or that same mighty beast being put into situation where it has the chance to win a dangerous battle with a worthy foe who's dangerous enough to go toe-to-toe with the Tyrant King? Tyrannosaurus rex was an awesome animal, but it wasn't off in a league of its own with all others as weak chaff below it. And that to me makes the times it pulls a win in these comparisons all the more impressive. A combination of skill, build, weaponry, and defense to allow a well earned victory. Hail to the Tyrant King, and Hail to the Spined Pharaoh. -Jack Blackburn, Paleontological educator for Museum of Dinosaurs and Ancient Cultures
Peoples do what you describe only because every single "bigger than t.rex" theropod always was pushed forward exactly as a league on its own with the "chaff" t.rex below it. It isn't the Rex fans that started this ridiculous pee-pee size contest, they simply responded in tune at worst and at best they simply wanted to put forward the fact that the rex was no chaff and the "insert new megatheropod" wasnt a league of its own as it was mostly done. Nobody in its rigth mind would think any megatheropod would steamroll any other contender, and that includes rex fans in their rigth mind. As for rex fanboys...they aren't doing anything different than any Spino or Charcharodontopsaurid fanboy...with the plus that even while still fanboys they aren't among the one who threw the first stone. Also as scientifically "sad" as the phenomenon can be, it is a *fact* that Jurassic Park has a VERY heavy influence in fueling fanboyism, and that particular franchise has so far *always* had the rex act like the chaff you describe. I consider paleontology and JP as two completely separated entities with only loose ties, but that being said it is still a shame that cinematographically speaking the icon of the franchise is always the jobber for other megatheropods up until the very end of the Hexalogy. It would be wrong even if it was a full fantasy movie about dragons.
This was a marvelous, well-researched, and well-executed battle scenario! It’s amazing how far the structural research on these two dinosaurs has come since JP3, with Spinosaurus in particular. This presentation looks so realistic and adapted to its environment. I have always loved the battle series on this channel, and I am overwhelmed with excitement at the prospect of seeing more simulated battles in the future, particularly on a titanic scale with the Kaiju/Titans!
This was… extremely fun to watch! I applaud you guys for using fossil evidence and accurate reconstructions in this battle, instead of using JP’s designs. Great work!
@@fellowinternetstranger8700 Not at all. It’s iconic in it’s own right, but if you wanted to conduct a fight analysis like this one, using a decades-old movie isn’t really the smartest idea
I just discovered Goji Center and I love it. The guy sounds like he's narrated the coolest '90s toy commercial or an ESPN recap but he's saying everything in such a logical scientific way with studies to back it up
This was a very fair, well researched, and quite detailed video. Nice to see it without any bias. You and your crew should be proud for a job well done.
@@Mephisto579 yes but I’m pretty sure most ppl don’t know about that I’ve never heard that name until today so my guess is most ppl don’t know about this
@@prehistoricfanboy101 I like Spinosaurus much more than T.Rex, but I was still happy with this outcome, it didn’t make it seem like Spinosaurus would be a easy kill at all.
Quick note . Studying paleontology myself at the moment , you mentioned that a direct injury to the sail of a spinosaurus wouldn't be fatal and I am so glad you included that . There are suggestions that like modern day camels , the sail was a water storage for the spinosaurus, so while a direct injury wouldn't immediately kill the spinosaurus, it would hurt it . Great research by you guys
T.rex vs Spinosaurus is a classic prehistoric match-up! It's equivalent to the Tiger vs Lion debate in the Paleo community! Jurassic Park sure stirred things up in JP3 😅 I just wish we could've seen the Spinosaurus in Jurassic World Dominion 🦖 👍
LoL T Rex vs Spinosaurus is more likely Tiger vs gharial. T Rex vs Giganotosaurus fight is similar to Tiger vs Lion where T Rex is a tiger & Giga a lion
The CGI fired at this film is frying my eyes with glory. Such a delight to see the astonishing models and animations to have such effort put in to. Also this is the most accurate the outcome would be especially the burning of the obsolete myths! Great job Goji centre
What I love most about this is that it has the respect and realistic outlook to admit that the fight could go either way, instead of outright determining that only one would win 100% of the time. Very well done!
which is stupid. a fully grown t rex would always destroy a spinosaurus. it was simply way more muscular and heavy and had an insanely powerful bite theres just no way a spinosaurus would beat it if both were aware and fully grown
I like it how you informed people that in real life confrontations both animals would still be alive after the battle since they are animals instead of blood thirsty monsters. I also love it how you researched and did well with the confrontation and what the animals had on their side, unlike bright side who doesn't know any better.
Nature doesn't always work that way. Wolves make a point to kill coyotes and often very gruesome. Sometimes when bears confront each other it can end in fatalities. One of the leading causes of mortality for Yellowstone grizzlies are other grizzlies. Another example during the rut bull elk, moose, and buck deer will kill rivals. Self preservation is an instinct but sometimes other instincts overrule it.
@@jamess7576 i mean, yeah, i get what you're saying, but it isn't any better to portray dinosaurs as animals that would fight to the death constantly. but yeah, if they literally pull up on their territory, then it's probably a fight to the death.
I love how the simulation makes us know that the t-Rex noticed the danger of the spino’s arm and it was the highest priority to take out the arm before anything else
I would love to see more of these in the future, like T-Rex vs Giga or Spino vs Giga. Great work, loved the in depth analysis and including recent studies. My friends and I had a debate recently and came up with the same conclusions for terrestrial and aquatic combat between the two.
The only advantage spino really has is its claws and its mouth made for grabbing fish which has good grip but not strong enough to break the Rex's neck JP3 style.
Good grip for fish, as for claws, well assuming the scientific accurate spino is tall enough to even reach and slash its claws without tipping over at the T-rex, then I guess its aight.
@@dom9300 my theory is that it sink a bit deep when grappling the rex. I belive it would stand up to attack the rex since it’s claws are made for killing. Different for the therizino
Outside of some minor jank, this looked amazing. I especially loved the sheer attention to scientific accuracy(aside from the roaring, which even than sounded much more like bellows and other more reptilian sounds compared to say, JP) that was put into this, especially the lack of shrink-wrapping and pronated wrists. The little disclaimer before the fight began that such fights would rarely end in death is such a nice touch that shows that these people actually care about the subjects being shown and understand that they are actual animals, not just movie monsters.
Sorry to break it to you but roaring could happen because no one has ever seen these animals alive and we only know what we can deduce from fossils etc which absolutely doesn't make scientists right automatically who claim dinosaurs couldn't roar
It's a bit off topic but I have watched your videos for some time and watched this channel grow and the effort put into each video is something worth acknowledging. Amazing job and as always a great video! Well done!!
This was great. I was expecting the classic "spino can't even move on land and is just free food for rex" but here it had the advantage until it got overwhelmed by the rex problem solving. Great video!
I would be curious to find out if this would still be the same outcome since we don't fully know the cognitive abilities of the Spino, we don't know how intelligent or how well it's brain was developed for problem solving or thinking skills and such. We do know it was capable of such things, especially when it can tell it has an advantage in the water against other creatures or when it comes to ranged fights for example, but also taking into account that it has incredible timing and precision since it usually hunts fish, something that takes huge amounts of skill to be able to pull off if it does it regularly. So i would be very curious to know if the outcome could alter if it turns out that the Spino was a lot more intelligent then what was originally thought and or researched. This is without mentioned the other factors that we aren't well aware of when it comes to the Spino since it's still one of the most unknown creatures yet when it comes to it's information overall, they are still trying to figure out this creature every year and it only gets more impressive and stronger.
@@darkeatermidir6452 But in his video he makes it very clear that Spinosaurus's bone density gives it a ton extra weight on Tyrannosaurus, meaning it's actually heavier than the T-Rex! But yeah, Tyrannosaurus has the superior bite force, that's not disputed at all!
@@MistikCo would have small confrontation from time to time tho when the Charca goes to the river to drink where a Spinosaurus might have made it it's home.
you know after watching the Monster Face Off Trailer I would consider this a Monster Face Off Episode.. More like Episode 0. Keep on the GOOD WORK GOJI! 😎👍🏽
Wow, excellent analysis, Goji! I especially love how you debunked most of the myths surrounding these ancient world wonders. Maybe for another fight simulation, do megalodon vs Livyatan! Funnily enough these two co-existed, so it probably did happen during the Miocene period!
I would think the megalodon would win,it wasn’t as smart but definitely had the stronger bite force and was most likely faster since it doesn’t have solid bones and and be more agile
It’s great to see you guys finally doing battle simulations instead of the usual 2D animation style. This was pretty awesome to see both theropods fight in a more scientifically accurate way, that hopefully doesn’t spark any heated comments between T. rex and Spino fans…
Keeping in mind that Spinosaurus did live along side the Charcharodontosaurus (I know they're different animals with different features even if they have other similarities, but Spinosaurus would have to be decent enough at fighting off would-be attackers to be successful for so long). All in all, excellent video...
The two animals would have met very rarely, because Spino lived in the water, and hunted different prey. In a real life scenario, the Spino wouldn't have bothered with the Charcharodontosaurus, and it certainly wouldn't have fought it off from a carcass for example.
This is the very best video about dinos i've ever seen. You realy had a truly remarkable investigation about every single aspects in both dinos. Well done sir.
Watching the live chat sure was fun. Great analysis! Even though Spino's weight estimates have lowered to 5-7 tons due to its thinner frame, this was probably the most accurate depiction of Tyrannosaurus vs. Spinosaurus to date! Props to you, GojiCenter!
The weight were high estimates (accounting for density and other factors) which is why we added a note underneath with more conservative estimates, Thank you for the kind words and yes the chat was really entertaining!
Indeed. It has been confirmed that it's bone density has been researched more in depth along side Baryonyx that it was able to be more semi aquatic then what we've previously thought. That would mean it's weight would also increase tremendously. Usually semi or fully aquatic animals tend to get heavier than fully terrestrial animals. Thank you for putting this new study in this video 👍🏽
@@GojiCenter there really aren't any high estimates now. The largest spinosaurus aegypticaus tho has fragmentary remains has fixed weight of 6.8t, maybe borderline to 7.1t. On the other hand, the largest trex specimen which is far more complete has weight of 10.6t, maybe even 11t if we are going off by paleop reconstruction. Plus spinosaurus was shown in the video striking alot with its arms, but in reality it wont effectively reach the trex with them. They weren't that big and had natural position streamlined with the body making them unable to be swang effectively. IMO rex will win in both land and water with little difficulty, but ur vid was still better than other spino vs rex vids.
Hey, I was one of the advisors on this. It seems that most Spinosaurus estimates actually low balled the weight. We do know from one study that the neotype more or less had the same proportions as a fully grown adult at the age it died at, meaning it can be used with mathematical scaling to figure out a rough approximation of how big the adults were. Using square cubed law, 8 to 10 tons was quite feasible, with some higher estimates also being produced but we decided to scale those back for the sake of being conservative. One of the reasons Tyrannosaurus looks so big in regards to the skeleton that is it's got a very wide chest, but you should also remember a large portion of that chest is going to be made up of a lot of air chambers because it is closely related to birds.
Steve sounds different. Great video! This is only the beta, the first video. I remember what the first Goji videos looked like, and while they looked really good, they look leagues better now. So I can’t wait to see how these videos evolve over time!
I love the concept. Especially after seeing these two in Jurassic Park. Everyone likes to think who would win, just like pairing a tiger verse a lion. But in reality, these two would never fight. Aside from the obvious time discrepancy. Dinosaurs weren't blood thirsty monsters that attack everything in sight. They ate when they needed to eat, and fought when they needed to fight. Most studies conclude that trexs were scavengers, and usually roamed in pairs or even small packs. And although territory fighting is a thing among animals, most tend to fight among themselves rather than other animals so long as those animals don't encroach on their resources. Spinos on the other hand ate mostly fish, but they would hunt prey on land from time to time. They were most likely solitary creatures that only ever came together to mate. So Trexs already have an advantage of outnumbering in most cases. However in a one on one situation? They'd most likely just scurry away from one another. There would be no point in killing each other for food as the risk/reward would be far too great when there are many other food sources nearby. Hunters don't usually hunt other hunters. They hunt weaker, easy prey. At the slightest sight of injury, flight instinct would kick in for self preservation and they'd skedaddle. So unless a one shot miracle blow hit at the start, or one was starving and not getting this meal meant death, neither would die from the encounter and life would go on.
True. I compare it to a Hippo vs a rhino for the most part. Both creatures are large and know how dangerous they can be so most confrontations end with the rhino running away to a safer area to avoid confrontation from a territorial Hippo
A healed hadrosaur tail with a T rex tooth embedded in it demonstrated the T rex was not purely a scavenger. Although carrion would have been an easy meal, the T rex, like carnivores today, probably targeted the most vulnerable among prey-the sick, injured, young, and unaware. Hadrosaurs probably lived in herds for protection. One probably strayed too far and paid the price, though not with its life until it was fossilized.
@Pastry Yes, edmontosaurus was a hadrosaur, so fits with the theory t rex hunted similar prey. Triceratops was like a very large and dangerous cow. Huge size, strength, and horns were a concern and healthy adults likely had no natural predators. T rex targeted the sick, injured, or young triceratops or those caught by surprise. Triceratops preferred a more solitary lifestyle, only getting together to raise young or mate. Bone beds of triceratops herds were not found. So an individual would be easy to sneak up on but if it was aware of you and kept its horns toward you, then it was not worth fighting.
Wrong...most if not all studies conclude that T. Rex was indeed NOT an obligate scavenger. What would it scavenge? Animals that died of disease or old age, how often would that have to happen to sustain an animal as large and as abundant as Tyrannosaurus Rex. There's also no evidence of other large predators coexisting with the Rex and obligate scavengers (such as vultures today) are highly dependent on other predators to take down prey. This animal more than likely functioned like any other predator...going for the young, the old, the sick and the weak.
Yeah, that's about what I expected. I was a bit worried this was gonna be deadliest warrior with animals, but a few minutes in your talking about anatomy reassured me otherwise, and you didn't end up disappointing! Good job!
From what I've read T-Rex's were quite aggressive by nature. Mark's on their skulls suggest they fought with each other quite a bit and some even suggest they had cannibalistic tendencies. I doubt it would have squared up like in this vid, I think it would have just charged strait in knowing it would cause serious damage due to its bite force.
No a trex isn't smart that i thinks " hey my bite force is strong let me charge lol" no predatort animal wants to ever risk unnecessary dmg. It would most likely win but it would still be extremely cautious fighting another predator of similar size.
@@hanabal898 most predators avoid each other if they're equally matched unless there's a shortage of food and both are really hungry. They also tend to know their strengths and weaknesses well, which is essential for their survival.
@@hanabal898 the problem is we're debating a creature we're never going to encounter and it's psychology is really difficult to guess, but I do know they were quite aggressive towards each other.

What a awesome comparison of two of the most amazing predators of our planet.I root for the toughness off the T Rex,but the spino can’t be denied, especially with those claws. I think it could be a draw at any fight ,but we will never know. Well done!
In addition, the crocodile type snout full of teeth would have to end up being felt at some point. For 3 encounters, at least one of these is won by a Spinosaur . (?)
An interesting fight to see would be JWD Giganotosaurus vs JP3 Spino. Both are immensely strong and have killed a Rex in under 30 seconds, would be cool to analyze who'd win in a fight between the two. Thank you GojiCenter for bringing this fight to life.
I feel like a fight between the JWD Giga and the JP3 Spino should’ve happened in the final fight scene in JWD, the Theri shouldn’t have been in the final fight at all, and have the fight itself last at least 3 minutes, and to have both of them deal a decent amount of damage to each other, but to have the Giga get the upper hand on the Spino on the latter half of the battle, and knocking out the Spino without actually killing it, and then Rexy should’ve killed the Giga while it was trying to regain its energy after getting into that fight with the Spino, of course before the Giga and Spino fought, it would basically be the same fight between Rexy and the Giga in the actual movie where the Giga knocked out Rexy in that first fight. And anyways, After Rexy finishes off the Giga, Spino should get back up, but looking injured, Rexy and Spino both lock eyes, but decide the fight isn’t worth it, and Spino looks at Rexy as if to thank Rexy for killing the Giga that almost killed him, and Spino decides to walk away.
@@Mephisto579 He never stated anything as fact. He just said as of the moment the spino appears to be stronger as it's known as the "rex killer". Gotta love how well put together this was. The amount of research put into this video is quite immaculate. I also like the idea of u not having the Spinosaurus roar
This video is extremely right! This is how I believe it would go! One thing I saw was that the T. rex didn’t do anything to fight back in the water and just accepted its defeat.
@@kharnivore4042 Yeah I guess but t rex would have trubble turning and mowing in water which the spino has no problem with doing spinosaurus could also scratch and bite rex from under the water

This is a giant masterpiece. Your first 3D animation. Super unbiased. Spino and Rex fanboys can rest. I hope you keep up the awesome work! Anyways the weights are kinda wrong. Spino is 13.3-14.4 meters and 7.1-7.3 tonnes and Rex is 12.4 meters and 10.6 tonnes. Still this is very unbiased and is more educational than that one cringey Bright Side video.
I love how you guys took time and effort out of your days to make this wonderful video. The animations are high quality too. I love it! Also y’all should do Giganotosaurus vs T. rex or Giganotosaurus vs Spinosaurus to see who would really win those fights.
I love both of these dinosaurs equally they have there own advantages and weaknesses so whoever wins the battle I am happy that it happened on one of my favorite TH-camrs on prehistoric beings and the monsterverse. Perhaps the animation could use some more work but it looked awesome and in due time it will improve greatly for the best experience of the viewers.
No matter how good this video may turn out to be, no matter how accurate, there will always be people who argue against objective fact. Edit: amazing how people fail to check when the comment was made. I made this before the video premiered. I am not calling it objective fact. I am saying that even if there was objective fact, people would continue to argue. Maybe fully read the comment and understand what it means before you reply.
Interestingly enough Spinosaurus had other large theropods as it's contemporaries such as Carcharodontosaurus and Bahariasaurus. It's always fascinating to imagine multiple big predators coexisting with each other and thanks to occupying different niches, competition as well as conflict between them would've been rare.
I think, you did a great job, animating this battle, even though the Spino looked a bit creepy due to the pupills. Maybe in a fight such as T-Rex vs Spinosaurus, T-Rex might not have had enough time to plan the attack against its opponent´s hand. However, it might be good that this is just speculative and hasn´t happened ever, so neither fan base can say what would happen in a confrontation. ;)
Even though spino is my favorite, I got to admit that I don’t think it has really any advantage other than longer range. Unless the fight is taking place near water, I don’t see the spino winning this
@@aut0mat1c11 true but spinosaurus is more streamlined for water and may have an edge in water agility and maybe even get to the tyrannosaurus weak spots.
Claws Even larger than the tooth of Rex, those are no joke, this battle would be very close one in my opinion. The battle would be dependent on the environment, overall strength, skills, agility and stamina.
I think a funny think about spino is that it rarely wins any big theropod fight, but there’s almost no theropods that can resist fighting with him without having enough injuries to die or get seriously disabled

have to say, love the scientifically accurate (at least currently) models. Specially the spinosaurus. I think people are way past the monster like look from JP3 (Which I will admit, is sick, but only for a movie) but some people take the design way too far creatively, some even going as far as making the spinosaurus look like a Giant duck.

Awesome fight!👍🏼 I hope you guys do more of these, especially with the Kaiju.
My favorite video
@@dangelojones2224 i like the kaiju but perfer it like this
To me, one of the most underrated details of the fight simulation is how the first few minutes consist of the two dinosaurs trying to intimidate each other into retreating.
Why do you think that the Jurassic World fight scene is worse than this?
Trex: roars
Spino: escapes into the water cause he eats fish and doesn't care about the trex.
I’ll consider being a Patron as well to help fund more animated episodes.

they aren't equal, spinosaurus is an aquatic lake wading predator that mostly dealt with fish, Its legs are so short it has to walk on all fours
@@Historian474 exactly!!

You are right.
But this battle has been done to the death
By the T.Rex in the video, that is
Kiddies thinking this would be an easy win for the T.rex are going to be in for a surprise.

Not just carcharodontosaurus, but many other abelisaurids and huge 10m crocs (not talking about sarco)
Spino probably didn’t compete with carchar often if even at all. Both served totally different niches which is why they managed to coexist

Watching the live chat sure was fun. Great analysis! Even though Spino's weight estimates have lowered to 5-7 tons due to its thinner frame, this was probably the most accurate depiction of Tyrannosaurus vs. Spinosaurus to date! Props to you, GojiCenter!
Spinosaurus is currently 7.1 tons & T rex 10.5 tons
Yes
That is true but we're doing this fight for fun!
Hugely educational and highly recommended. Awesome video!!!! Go Rex!
This fight was a lot closer than I expected
Yeah, that's about what I expected.
I was a bit worried this was gonna be deadliest warrior with animals, but a few minutes in your talking about anatomy reassured me otherwise, and you didn't end up disappointing!
Good job!
This gives me mad “Animal Face Off” vibes and I love it.
a guy looking for food vs a guy looking for a drink
Finally, an accurate fair fight to end this debate. Amazing video and artwork 👍🏻
alternate title: two lizards with anger issues fight each other
That's basically 90% of every kaiju film in existence 😆
This is the best combat simulation ever! With an actual 3d sim of a scenario, what's bettter than that now?!
@@williambuchanan77 exactly my point so the trex definitely wouldn't yolo rush another large predator like that.
@@hanabal898 the problem is we're debating a creature we're never going to encounter and it's psychology is really difficult to guess, but I do know they were quite aggressive towards each other.
@@williambuchanan77 they lived on different continents. And the behavior when it comes to predators can just be matched with predators from todays time, that really doesn't change the only predators that risk injury at times are huge pride or pack animals like lions or hyenas.
These new CGI 3D models are awesome and game changing for the channel, I can't wait to see how their models improve in fluency.
Great job Goji on making the most up to date battle between these two
I GOT A WHOLE ALARM READY FOR TOMORROW FOR THIS
*There isn't a more iconic dinosaur than the T Rex, even people who don't know the differences between herbivore and carnivore know all about the Tyrannosaurus Rex. And when you see her up close, feel her gaze... you understand why the T Rex was the ruler of the Cretaceous period - Claire Dearing, Jurassic World Evolution series*
*Okay, even I have to admit that this next dinosaur is impressive. The Spinosaurus is perhaps the largest carnivores. Of course, I'll never get close enough to one to see for myself - Cabot Finch, Jurassic World Evolution series*
I know the Jurassic franchise isn't accurate, but I love how the creators of this film making the T Rex and Spinosaurus was a *SAVAGE* dinosaurs in my Jurassic Franchise list
Nah man Trex is The most Imfamous dinosaur
@ᴇᴅʏ_🐻 those would be runner ups, I would also throw in Stegosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Allosaurus even Spinosaurus as well
But T. Rex is definitely number 1 in terms of popularity and pop culture influence
aww c'mon clair she had a decent glaze, look at sue isn't her eyes beautiful, it is the eye of an animal not a tyrant, it just hunts, feels the same way other we feels but with 2x or 4x scopes and a nose of a dog

Just saying, Deadliest Warrior - Dino Edition is badass. Keep up the good work !
Love how the environment can really change the outcome of each fight.
WOW! You guys are extremely talented in animating. This animation was so epic and prob the best I've ever seen! I love everything about it, especially the models and animations. You guys should also make such animations for your Kaiju face offs, it would be really awesome, you should try it sometime. Keep making good content like this one you guys are the best!
This video was incredible, I've watched it 3 times in the past 3 or so days. The animation was great, the analysis was satisfying, the music was great in the fight, and the ending analysis was great to hear especially that end statement.
You guys should try doing more of these in the future. This video alone is making the dino loving fanatic in me screaming in excitement. And i would love to see more of these in the future.
17:19 this animation is everything I need dinosaur movie fights to have, you done exactly what I wanted Gojicenter, good job to you and your group!
You guys always put so much effort on all your videos, i feel like this could easily be a tv cable show from sci fi or history channel. I give a standing ovation to all the team involved in this show!
Congratulations and all my love from 🇲🇽
This video is exactly what Jurassic Fight Club should’ve been.
What it could’ve been
What a awesome comparison of two of the most amazing predators of our planet.I root for the toughness off the T Rex,but the spino can’t be denied, especially with those claws. I think it could be a draw at any fight ,but we will never know. Well done!
In addition, the crocodile type snout full of teeth would have to end up being felt at some point. For 3 encounters, at least one of these is won by a Spinosaur . (?)
Yes we do.Paleontologists say rex wins
I hope in future we will see more prehistoric animals battle in your channel , thank u for this 😊
That’s the only reason i watch them😂😂 the dino vids are fire🔥

They already made a Trike vs. Anky video.
An interesting fight to see would be JWD Giganotosaurus vs JP3 Spino. Both are immensely strong and have killed a Rex in under 30 seconds, would be cool to analyze who'd win in a fight between the two.
Thank you GojiCenter for bringing this fight to life.
The giga didn’t kill the rex but it was a trex killer
@@chili2663 in the prologue
Trevorrow stated spino is stronger so giga loses.
@@Mephisto579 He never stated anything as fact. He just said as of the moment the spino appears to be stronger as it's known as the "rex killer". The giga didn't kill Rexy but he beat rexy much easier and quicker than the spino did against a much smaller and weaker rex. Rexy would steamroll that jp3 rex
Gotta love how well put together this was. The amount of research put into this video is quite immaculate. I also like the idea of u not having the Spinosaurus roar
He had spinosaurus quack
Great video!! I really enjoy it :) Thanks to all who made it!!
THIS IS AMAZING!!!!! My favorite Goji Center video yet!
This video is extremely right! This is how I believe it would go! One thing I saw was that the T. rex didn’t do anything to fight back in the water and just accepted its defeat.
No hate but what do you want it to do spino is a water Hunter
@@mmaandstuff7406 If he tried to bite, he could have injured the spinosaurus, having time to retreat
@@kharnivore4042 Yeah I guess but t rex would have trubble turning and mowing in water which the spino has no problem with doing spinosaurus could also scratch and bite rex from under the water

Anyways the weights are kinda wrong.
Spino is 13.3-14.4 meters and 7.1-7.3 tonnes and Rex is 12.4 meters and 10.6 tonnes.
Still this is very unbiased and is more educational than that one cringey Bright Side video.

Its so dang good to see how much growth this channel is getting, this literally gives me chills

Yeah just look at live chat it’s chaos toxic spino and T. rex fans it’s absolutely chaos
this is why I like gojicenter they make things as fair as possible and not just goes like "T-rex will win anywhere because it is the king".
To be honest, big hunters living in the same habitat isn't that interesting.
The probability of they interacting its even worse than 10%

Great work on the animation! I can’t wait to see it!

Unless the fight is taking place near water, I don’t see the spino winning this
Yea and t rex has strenght, bite and everything
Thing is, rex could even chase it into the water, so it doesn’t really matter 💀
@@dodowithajetpack3348 you've seen the documentary, "Prehistoric Planet," about how the T-rex can hold its own aginst a Mosasaurus?
@@aut0mat1c11 true but spinosaurus is more streamlined for water and may have an edge in water agility and maybe even get to the tyrannosaurus weak spots.
Claws Even larger than the tooth of Rex, those are no joke, this battle would be very close one in my opinion. The battle would be dependent on the environment, overall strength, skills, agility and stamina.
I'm really enjoying the work on this channel. Good work guys!

JP3 was Jack Horner the nonces anti-Trex fantasy that even he admitted he was wrong about and the “Spino” in it was nothing like a spino.
