- Where is Princess Diana's jewellery now? As a teenager, Diana Spencer often wore a necklace with the letter D made during her time at Pimlico Nursery School. Later, she often wore this pendant on a more solid necklace. Where is it now? A private buyer bought the pendant at auction for around £7,000. His identity remains a mystery to this day. Diamond eternity ring. This was one of Prince Charles' first gifts to Diana. Later, after her engagement, she often wore it along with her blue sapphire engagement ring. The ring has not been seen again since Diana passed away. In a special letter, Diana wrote: "I would like you to divide all my jewellery into shares between my sons so that their wives can eventually receive and use it." She added that "I leave the exact division of the jewellery to your discretion". That's why many of the jewellery pieces can now be seen on Catherine and Meghan Markle.
Actually, Diana wanted her jewelry divided amongst her sons and her Godchildren. Her sisters went to court to keep from having to give the valuable jewelry to Diana’s Godchildren.

This may sound a bit ugly but I can see why. I am not sure how the title of "godmother" was officially given to her or by whom, but likely only people in the royal family could "prove" that Diana was the godmother of their child. A certificate is issued at baptism & signed by the godparents at Catholic christenings and I am certain there is a similar tradition in the Anglican church, to which she belonged. Her family likely did not want any of the royals (except her own children) to receive any of her valuable jewellery, considering her experience with being a member of the royal family. Also anyone else NOT royal might pop up and claim that they had named Diana as the godmother of their child in a different religious tradition, with no actual evidence that Diana had accepted the role. These individuals could take the Spencer family to court whenever they liked in the future, causing unnecessary and painful back and forth over whatever jewellery said persons might feel themselves entitled to. I'm certain Diana put that in her will assuming that she would live many more years and that such people would not be able to clog the courts with such claims, as she believed she would have had many more years to live and specify specific godchildren as inheritors, if any. So I get it.
I always wonder where that sapphire choker with the several strands of pearls on either side is. Who inherited that? It was always my favorite piece of Diana's and I always wished I could have a similar one made for myself (but with emerald instead of sapphire- my birthstone).
If it was Diana wish it should off been kept.

The ring was given to Harry who then gave it to William. Diana's personal pieces were split between her family. She wore many pieces that weren't technically hers to give so they reverted back to the queen. Diana had lovely taste in the pieces she wore. However, if I were Harry or William, I would have chosen a different ring. That one symbolized a lot of pain. Neither of their parents were happy in the marriage.

I'm surprised her family allowed her "D" necklace to be sold. That seems sad and unnecessary. The Spencer family doesn't exactly need the money. Why would they auction any of her jewellery or possessions? Really I believe that her clothing and whatever jewelry she owned that was not passed down or was not considered intensely personal while being iconic (ex. the Spencer tiara, the sapphire engagement ring, her sapphire brooch surrounded by diamonds that she wore as a choker with several strands of pearls on either side) should be in a museum, such as the MET.
The Spencer tiara wasn't her personal property; so while Diana was the wearer we remember most, the tiara rightfully belongs with the Spencer family. Awaiting the next Spencer lady to marry; or some notable tiara occasion. 😊👍

The Spencer tiara is an heirloom piece owned by the Spencer family so it shouldn't be in any museum, just like her sapphire engagement ring. But her clothing and a lot of her other maybe costume jewelry and her clothing, should be in a museum.

That is so true. I have suffered from depression since I was 11 yrs old. That's when it started and in my 20's it was really bad. I couldn't get a Dr to really understood so I was never on the right medication. This was a long time ago when depression wasn't widely recognized. Finally in my 40's I found a psychiatrist who really helped me and put me on the right meds. Now I don't have any episodes of it and I am finally happy.
It seems that a lot more jewels stayed with Kate.
Also Princess Charlotte deserves her grandmother's jewelry not MM..

While Diana would have wanted her son Harry to be happy, first and foremost she was all about her duty, originally to the Queen and crown, then to charity and to the people, I doubt she'd be over the moon that Harry quit, up and left the family the way he has. And I think all the things he and Meghan have done since would have upset her too. Maybe not the stuff about Charles and Camilla, but DEFINITELY the stuff they've said about William, Catherine and their children.
Honestly the boy is such a disappointment. I hope King Charles isn't planning on letting them slither their way back into the fold. Sometimes too much water has flowed under the bridge, and it's best to go your own way, and after everything Harry and Meghan have said and done, letting them back in would destroy the slightly improved image he's regained after all that affair/divorce business. Calls for abdication, or even doing away with the monarchy altogether, might be heard, and, honestly, if he allows Harry and Meghan to come back, I think I'd agree with any abdication calls. William and Catherine are the future, of the monarchy and of the country and commonwealth, I know a few people that thought the crown should miss Charles entirely and go straight to William. But the man had been the future King in waiting/training for 70 years! Skipping over him would have been kind of cruel. But lots of people still hate Camilla (which is harsh because Diana had affairs too, but they've been forgotten following her untimely death), so it must be hard for them both, being the head of the monarchy when they know a good chunk of the public hate the new Queen, and some hate the King too. I can't see it being a long reign though, so I say give him his time, however long or brief it may be, he waited a long time. And he's done amazing things for charity, sadly his personal life has overshadowed his achievements, and it still does even now, a few decades later.
Let me just say, Lady Meghan more than deserves to wear it especially as they now have closer ties with the Spencers than the RF, Prince Harry will meter forgive what his stepmother did and made it pretty much clear that he never wanted to have anything to do with her and was a main part of the reason why he left, Prince Harry only did what Princess Diana was trying to do under oppression before her death which was to air out the truth about everything she was going through under the RF due to the mistreatment she started facing especially when Camilla entered the picture, so I give Prince Harry full right in everything he did, you don't do evil and expect it to go under wraps as truth will always surface one way or another and Prince Harry was holding that back bottled up for way too long and it was already long overdue for him to finally come out with his story, his wife's story and his mother's story, Lady Di would be so proud that he finally let out everything she was trying to speak up about during her lifetime, once her replacement sits upon that wrongfully granted throne there will be no reconciliation possible as both Prince Harry and Consort Camilla despise each other from since day 1 and is never going to change until the day of her death, as much as Prince Harry respects his father, there will be no further discussions once her mom's replacement is still in the picture and if I must choose sides between Camilla vs Prince Harry and Meghan I would choose the Sussex Squad in a heart beat especially as each work a lot harder for everything they have now just to prove their worthiness in society and they shall always rise above them all in everything they do, may they continue to carry on the legacy of lady Di throughout their decendants
I also would like to add that it's not by coincidence that suddenly most Caribbean isles suddenly are filing for Republicity to leave the Commonwealth straight after the Queen's death as no Caribbean isle respects what either of them did and a lot more will start filing when Prince William and George takes throne as we down here want to have nothing to do with that lineage and we HIGHLY respect Prince Harry and would prefer to work with him and Meghan over anyone else and further more with the affairs of Diana those only happened as she was being mistreated to a point where she was willing to accept any type of love and care from anyone even if it means one night stand just to escape the reality of what she was facing under Prince Charles and Camilla and though wasn't the best thing to do, when you are abused to the point where you reach that mental state there is literally nothing much that could be done as she would've needed loads of therapy to get over that phase of abuse, so really don't blame her and son proud of Prince Harry for standing for his mom even up till now and she would be so proud of the person who he is now as he continues her legacy and passes it down to his decendants

No, mostly on Catherine. Migraine stole most of it and made replicas just in case she needed to "prove" she doesn't have Diana's jewelry. I think William was more cautious as to what Ginger could take. Migraine already threw a fit because Ginger gave Diana's blue diamond to William so he could give it to Catherine. It was LONG BEFORE Migraine came into his life. So, she really has no say in ANYTHING. But Catherine got most of it. Or at least that's what was told in a different video from the Royals.
